I’m creating this thread so that we can continue the October 2018 baby bus. Only one page left on ours and once it completes we can’t share this link so getting this done now .... all aboard!

@ATP1000 yep dreams v vivid and freaky! Also, going to bed early-ish, struggling to get comfy and waking up knackered, wonder if this is the start of 3rd tri tiredness? (altho I believe 3rd officially starts at week 28?)

@unicornchaser eeep 32! We're set for 29 today in Manchester. I'm so glad we can dress casually at my work, would hate to be in a suit/other formal stuff!

sparkling123 · 28/06/2018 09:30

@unicornchaser snap, inside with fan on, all east facing windows closed with curtains shut. Neighbours must think I'm a vampire 😂

2ndPGchimp · 28/06/2018 18:50

@ATP1000 yes to the weird vivid dreams. Thankfully I can't really remember them when I wake up, but just wake suddenly feeling really weird and a bit relieved not to be in the dream any more. Last night I had one involving someone shouting at us in the airport but can't remember more than that!

We are in full nesting phase. We did a big build last year and had been putting off getting the rest sorted, but now we are all over it!

lovesrunning · 28/06/2018 19:24

@ATP I’m with you on the vivid dreams! Also still getting cramp a lot in my legs and feet in the night. Most nights I have to jump out of bed at least once because it feels like I’ve been shot in the calf muscle. I’m testing a new theory tonight and drinking the electrolytes that were looking at me sadly from the cupboards now I’m not able to run for hours on end. Hopefully they’ll make a difference.

Other than that no complaints really. Lots of kicks now - always at the same 4 or 5 times a day. Does this mean I can look forward to this schedule when she’s here? It’s a one-woman disco in there at 9pm on the dot. As long as her 3am shift disappears by the due date it’s all good.

Hope everyone’s doing well.

youngmamma · 28/06/2018 22:23

Any mums know about cramping in my ribs due October 2018 I'm 24 weeks and it's really Uncomfortable to where a bra but also awful to not.

Any advice like where I can get maternity bras from cheep

Cluelessss · 29/06/2018 07:01

Hi guys, I haven’t checked in, in a while. Hope everyone is well, I’ve done my best to read through all the comments.

Youngmamma I am seriously suffering with constipation, sorry TMI and I sometimes get a lot of pain under my rib cage. I even paid for a private scan which cost myself £150 just to be told I needed to go to the toilet 🙈

I’ve read a lot of comments on here about movement, and my little boy has been moving since 18 weeks, to see and to touch all day long pretty much.. should I be concerned with the amount of movement?

EffRam · 29/06/2018 10:58

@cluelessss I wouldn't worry about the movement - everyone is different. the important thing is being aware of your own pattern so you know if it changes! Presume all was well at your scan?

Anyone else been getting Braxton Hicks? I had assumed they would just be nearer the end! I only really notice them if I have a hand on my tummy. It feels like baby is about to do/is doing a really big roll or something then I realise it's actually my whole tummy going tense. But the last couple of days I've noticed when I've just been in the middle of something else!

ATP1000 · 29/06/2018 19:05

I found magnesium oil really helped with muscle pain. Be sure to get one that says safe for pregnancy as many include essential oils that we are not meant to be using, also check with your midwife to make sure it suits you. I used to use it for after the gym and it worked for me on ligament pain last week. Got the midwife approval, just not to use it in excess. Three sprays, twice in 12 hours did it for me, I haven’t needed it since but am sure I will again soon! I have less than half the RDA of magnesium in my vitamins.

@EffRam yes on the Braxton Hicks, it has been worse the last couple of days so not sure if it's the heat maybe. I've heard it can be brought on by dehydration too so make sure you're getting plenty of fluids.

lovesrunning · 30/06/2018 19:19

Thanks @atp I didn’t realise you could get magnesium as oil. Will definitely be looking in to that. I just had two cramp-free nights after drinking the electrolytes too - hurrah! High 5 is the brand for anyone wanting to try it.

Penguina · 30/06/2018 19:36

NOt checked in here in ages! But finally hit viability ! Plus I have my section date already which is so surreal! Don’t think I had it this early last time. Had a little glimpse of baby this week as consultant offered a cheeky scan which was nice!

justtowarm · 30/06/2018 23:43

@EffRam I've been getting lots of Braxton Hicks, I got loads last time as well. I actually find them quite uncomfortable especially if I'm sitting and stand up while getting one 🙈

@youngmamma depends on what size you are but if you're on smaller side like me I'm sticking with comfort bras / non sporty sports bras. I've get them from Asda. direct.asda.com/george/women/bras/strappy-lace-trim-comfort-bra/GEM293560,default,pd.html direct.asda.com/george/women/bras/2-pack-non-padded-sports-bras/GEM551177,default,pd.html I bought one proper non wired bra from Mothercare for about £18 but don't think it gives me much more support than the Asda ones so I save it for best. I'm a B/C cup, C cup now and not sure if I'll get much bigger but defo can't do up my old 34 bras round my back as my ribs have expanded loads.

ATP1000 · 02/07/2018 08:37

This weather is great but is getting tiring now! I’ve got a rash on my shin/calf, think it might be heat rash but not sure. Does anyone know of any pregnancy friendly creams I can use on it please? Just want to cool it down and numb it if possible! Thanks!

ATP1000 · 02/07/2018 08:39

@milknosugar I am hormonal too! I spent the weekend with my parents and was really sad because my dad looked old, he’s 70 and has never been well so I’m used to him looking old but it got me this time 😔

Havetothink · 02/07/2018 09:37

Hormones are definitely on the up. My grandad passed away two days after I had my first dd and every now and then I have a thought of who it would be terrible to lose this time.

I'm not 100% sure but E45 itch relief cream might be ok, you can use it on babies.

unicornchaser · 02/07/2018 10:01

@ATP1000 I have a rash too but right below my bra wire sort of on the crease of my bump. I think it's either eczema or heat rash but driving me insane, been there about 3 weeks now! Tried camomile, Sudocrem, e45, coconut oil, germaline, bicarb soda paste. Nothing has helped!
The pharmacist wouldn't give me anything other than E45 but have a doctors appointment this afternoon so will let you know what they suggest for it Smile

justtowarm · 02/07/2018 10:56

@unicornchaser I had a rash there in my last pregnancy turned out to be the same bacteria as thrush from increased sweating and an ill fitting bra😳🙈 hopefully that isn't what you have but if it is canastan cream cleared it up really quickly :)

unicornchaser · 02/07/2018 11:13

Thanks @justtowarm that's one of the reasons I am wanting a doc app incase it is an infection or ends up infected.
Thanks though if the doctor doesn't come up with anything will try canisten. On holiday from Saturday and really don't want to take his itch with me!

TinyTerror1 · 02/07/2018 11:49

I've been using calamine and E45 itch relief for mine but I've also heard that it can be a thrush-type infection. Bit worried myself as the itching along my bra line seems to be getting worse and the E45 is getting less effective. I may well be joining the queue for the doctors Blush

Belles86 · 02/07/2018 16:20

cankles, mid pm exhaustion and heartburn. What's everyone else's symptoms this week? :D

unicornchaser · 02/07/2018 16:53

@TinyTerror1 worth a trip to the docs (or just by canesten) mine is a sweat rash which I have been given clotrimazole which is canesten like @justtowarm suggested.

Apparently very common in pregnancy under the bra line, especially in this heat!

RhiBee29 · 02/07/2018 19:13

@Belles86 my cankles are ridiculous, so swollen I can only get flip flops on my fat feet. My skin is so tight it hurts Sad
