Guess what, I' here (turning up like the proverbial bad smell.) DS2 not asleep but I'm leaving him to it for a bit tonight. (We had a nap again today. Naughty, but he was in such a foul mood and I felt so naff... can't be much longer now, I just need 'til the end of the week to finish my jobs.)
Right then, hospital bag, according to the list in the leaflet from the hospital (plus extra).
Nightie for labour (plus socks, flannel, small towel for mopping brow, lavender massage oil - not on their list).
2 towels, toiletry bag with soap etc, toothbrush, toothpaste, flannel hairbrush.
Nightie, dressing gown, slippers, pants, 2 packs pads, breast pads, massive bra.
3 baby gros , 3 vests, pack nappies, cardigan, mitts & hat.
Going home clothes for me and baby.
Think that's it. I have to put in a book, some change, a big carrier bag for laundry and remember to get my notes from the kitchen on the way out.
I have kept it very basic (I think, though I have sneaked in minimal makeup as I was in the local paper new arrivals section last time! Vain cow ). I cannot understand (if they are going to send me home after two hours, why I need 2 packs of pads and a whole packet of nappies.)
I wish someone would tell me exactly why I am on consultant led care and what risks I might encounter, just so I know, then I would also be able to plan (no-risk women get to use the birthing suite and are discharged between 2-6 hours. For at-risk cases it is a bit vague.)
Sorry, self-centred post again
