So nervous for our scan tomorrow but so excited at the same time, it's also my birthday so hoping for good results!

I didn't do any classes while pregnant as to be honest there wasn't much available, I did try and go to as many classes as I could once the baby came and we still go to waterbabies with a lot of the same mums from the beginning there's about 3 who are pregnant 4 including me when we share our news!

BunBunMum · 30/04/2018 09:56

@Magpie24 I didn’t feel movement until 19/20 weeks with my son - I remember it being a couple of days before my 20-wk scan!

petiteange28 · 30/04/2018 09:58

I did NCT classes with DS and it was brilliant. I had to have an EMCS and we had gone through that in the class so I was not at all concerned by the fact that there were about 8 people in theatre with me. I think it is luck of the draw but I do highly recommend it. I'm only really close to one of the other mums in our group of 6 but we still all text and in the early days it was an absolute godsend to have other people to turn to....'do your nipples hurt when feeding', 'is anyone else awake at 2am, 3am, 4am and so on', 'has anyone else's baby not poo'd for 6 days'. I don't think I could have coped without that sounding board of people going 'don't panic it's normal'.

Saraswati · 30/04/2018 10:09

@shrimpi it's on weds, luckily at 9am so not too much waiting!

I've called in sick to work today and for tomorrow, I told my manager what happened on holiday and she was really understanding. I've said she can tell my colleagues too, it's so small where I work that whatever happens with this pregnancy I won't be able to hide it from them so I'd rather they know.

I've got myself some bubble bath and magazines for my bed rest, dd is at preschool so I'm going to try and relax an distract myself from worrying!

Good luck to those with scans!

Amarettoplease · 30/04/2018 11:38

Good luck to all of you with upcoming scans. I didn’t realise just how nervous I was about mine until the night before.

@Saraswati that sounds like a great plan, glad work is understanding.

13 weeks and not really feeling very pregnant anymore- boobs not as tender, less bloated so don’t look/feel as big and have more energy and more of a normal appetite. I’ve been hoping I’d feel like this for ages but now it’s just making me a bit worried! Next mw appt not until 17/5 @ 16 weeks. Not feeling definite flutters like I was before either...

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 30/04/2018 11:46

@Amarettoplease I feel the same. I still feel tired all the time and a bit nauseous if I haven't eaten in a while but besides that I don't feel pregnant at all. It's a really weird feeling.

I'm definitely thicker round the middle. But it's not a 'bump' yet.

My next MW appt isn't until 22nd May and I've got a ridiculously busy and manic 3 weeks in work between now and then. Confused

It's like your just supposed to have this instinct that the baby is all ok in there but I just totally haven't and seem to spend my existence in a state of panic!

sarahhh1984 · 30/04/2018 12:23

So jealous of you all with May mw appointment's. Mine's not until 11 June when I'll be 18 weeks due to Bank Holidays, the mw being away and my work schedule. 🙈

marchblossom · 30/04/2018 13:31

Counting the days now to scan on thurs, just can't wait. It's 3rd baby and I'm really starting to show. Plus in my job as a teacher there's really nowhere to hide Confused have told one colleague and my head though.

Started buying a few cloth nappies today as need to stockpile about 25-30, and found some lovely 2nd hand ones on eBay. Probably a bit early but couldn't resist!

TinyPawz · 30/04/2018 14:14

@marchblossom funny you saying that about sticking up on nappies. I found a kit on eBay that I have been eyeing since before pregnant and like you couldn't resist. Too good of a price to pass up.

Finally got my booking in appointment date for 10May. I'll be much more content I think once I am in 'the system' officially rather than a loon running back and forward to EPU.

Emma0902 · 30/04/2018 14:54

Any recommendations for black maternity work trousers? Can't squeeze into these size 10 any longer the pregnancy bloat is really I'm in so much pain in my upper ribs! Feel they may burst while I'm at work Hmm

I remember buying some last time around but I'm tall so they was above my ankles so possibly somewhere that does "long" Smile

NoCatsHere · 30/04/2018 16:53

I had a private scan today due to a wild panic over the weekend that everything had gone wrong. All was fine, heartbeat, baby shaped and 4 limbs. But during it she said my nuchal fluid was a little high at about 3mm. Now obviously I’m freaking out about that, my age being 39. And just that I can’t believe it could be ok after 2 mc already. From google (I know, I know, I should leave it alone) I’ve seen that generally the NT gets larger with growing baby, so in 2 weeks I guess the result could be even higher? I’ve also read lots of positive stories which has been good, that the NT shouldn’t be measured before 11 weeks and baby was too small. That it can decrease, that that reading shouldn’t be taken on its own and I should have bloods to get a more accurate result. I’m obviously trying to remain calm but it’s easier said than done! 2 weeks tomorrow is my NHS scan so I’ll know more then I guess as they’ll do it properly and with a blood test too. It’s not easy is it? It just feels like one thing after another at the moment.

intelligentPutty · 30/04/2018 18:09

Hi @NoCatsHere sounds like we are in a similar place. 39 here too.
I've booked in for private scan today (at 6:30) as the actual nhs scan not till 11th when I have a major meeting at work. The hospital couldn't reschedule so I feel a need a good excuse to get out of it. But need to be sure it's ok as it can be before I tell anyone.
Hope the wait until the next test isn't too long for you. But it sounds like the measurement isn't too high. (I just googled and baby centre shows that u are within range).

AJ89 · 30/04/2018 18:22

Had our nhs scan today, measuring 13 weeks exactly, giving a new due date of 5th November, bonfire baby! Loving the big leg. Can’t wait to find out the sex in a few weeks.

Brilliant picture!!

sarahhh1984 · 30/04/2018 18:58

@NoCatsHere Sorry to hear you're having a worrying time of it. Hope it turns out all is well.

@AJ89 Congratulations! That's a lovely pic!

MeredithShepherd · 30/04/2018 18:59

Fab scan @AJ89!
@Emma0902 my work trousers are from asda. They were £8!!!

MiniMinions · 30/04/2018 19:25

@marchblossom think babipur are continuing real nappy week offers this week, not sure if the Nappy Stash is but they had some deals on last week. I would love to cloth bum but when mentioned to DH before he wasn't too sure and think I would be on my own with doing the washing side haha

@Emma0902 I got some from Asda online last time but nothing in my size at the moment

@AJ89 great picture!!!

@NoCatsHere our DS has Nuchal of 3.5 but got 1 in 450 or downs etc so we were ok luckily. Hope all ok in couple of weeks for you x

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 30/04/2018 19:52

All test results now back. Just told DS and he's thrilled. In progress of telling everyone else now.

@AJ89 nice scan

@NoCatsHere sorry you're having a worrying time. Thanks

Amarettoplease · 30/04/2018 20:22

@Sarahhh1984 that is a long wait! I forgot how much feelings change throughout pregnancy with all the thinking/worrying involved at every stage. Even if I paid for another scan now, I’d be worrying again within 2 weeks. For some reason I have faith in my body to birth and breastfeed a baby but not to get through this stage of pregnancy.

@AJ89 that’s a fab pic!

I thought about reusables last time and chickened out. Any good websites to start looking for info? Is it easier to use them just when you’re at home? More or less likely to get nappy rash?

GreenMeerkat · 30/04/2018 20:22

@GiveMummyTheWhizzer great news that results are back!

How long after your scan did you get them? My van was last Tuesday and heard nothing so far, assuming that's a good thing as if it was bad news I'd have had a phone call by now?

GreenMeerkat · 30/04/2018 20:23

*scan! Not van!!

TheUbercornMum · 30/04/2018 21:09

Great news on scans

@nocatshere that sounds like it is in range but like you say it could just be it is too early atm. FX.

@Emma0902 I got my work trousers from Next last time and there are some trousers on there atm. Or ASOS or New Look are good. H&M too but they're too long for me but I am not long legged!!

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 30/04/2018 21:15

@GreenMeerkat I had my scan last Tuesday too and they came in post today so I'm sure yours won't be far behind. X

intelligentPutty · 30/04/2018 23:00

@AJ89 lovely pic. ;)
And so good to hear your news @GiveMummyTheWhizzer
My scan went well. Baby was bouncing around happily. It's all becoming much more real.

Foreverretro · 01/05/2018 04:55

@Emma0902 I got some linen trousers for work from eBay: rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F122933221345

They're very long, I've got regular-long legs depending on brand and have had to stitch them up a little bit x
