@sarahhh1984 my new EDD will be confirmed next week but I might be skipping ahead a bit. Though my current EDD is my mums birthday.

So sorry to hear your news @Nightmanagerfan Flowers

Pumpkin2018 · 26/04/2018 15:53

Congratulations to all who had positive scans today.
I also had mine today, I have one very active, wriggling baby.
Measured a little further on than expected and my due date is now 29th October.

Got maternity bra, gone up to J cup. Going to end up with comedy boobs by the time baby comes but oh so comfy

sarahhh1984 · 26/04/2018 16:05

Congratulations @Pumpkin2018! Another lovely picture!

Saraswati · 26/04/2018 16:13

So sorry @nightmanagerfan i know I would do the same in your situation, it must be the most heart breaking decision to have to make. You'll be in my thoughts Flowers

Congrats to all those with good scans today!

We went and walked around palermo today and i definitely overdid it. No bleeding but I feel horrific now and am just going to lie down until the morning. I felt like bursting into tears every 5 minutes today, I just want it to be weds already so I know my fate either way.

TheUbercornMum · 26/04/2018 16:34

Fabulous news on all the scans. Lovely seeing the pictures!!

@Nightmanagerfan I am so sorry the cvs confirmed DS. I echo what all the others have said, life is so crappy at times and it isn't fair. I totally understand your decision and I wish you strength and all the best for tomorrow and of course for the future.

ditzzy · 26/04/2018 16:36

@nightmanagerfan, I’m thinking of you too. Such a tough decision, must feel a relief to have made it decisively.

Congrats to all the girls with the lovely scan pics today too.

Only have to wait until tomorrow to find out if my tiddler has grown over the past fortnight, I had started to feel better about it, but have had some brown stained discharge today, so not feeling great right now.

TheUbercornMum · 26/04/2018 16:36

@moomoo85 my HG has peaked again this week. I thought I was out the other end but no it seems.

olderthanyouthink · 26/04/2018 20:39

I just remembered, several hours after the scan we realised there was only one baby and breathed a sigh of relief. BlushSmile(We saw a bugaboo donkey).

@Nightmanagerfan so sorry to hear your news, be kind to yourselves xx

Some very clear scans today ladies!

Mayah · 26/04/2018 21:12

So glad to hear of the great scans! I had mine today, was ready for the worst as I've had some pains the past few days. But the lazy lump is all good and well. Baby was wriggling for about 3 seconds before deciding now was a great time for a snooze and wouldn't wake up no matter how many jabs it took. Takes after his dad Grin

sarahhh1984 · 26/04/2018 21:35

Beautiful scan picture,@Mayah! Congratulations!

@olderthanyouthink, haha! I had same reaction about halfway through my private scan. I was so nervous before that scan I think there could have been three in there and I wouldn't have cared as long as they were all wriggling. This time I'm just hoping there wasn't a twin hiding behind the baby! 😂

TinyPawz · 26/04/2018 22:30

I read somewhere that only 90% of twins are identified at 12 week scan. Don't mean to alarm anyone but this little tidbit of information has me very worried

Saraswati · 27/04/2018 05:10

You all sound like me and dp, after I had my scan on Sunday after I bled when we'd calmed down he turned to me and said 'So that means there's only one in there right?' And we did a happy dance. He's an identical twin which I know isn't genetic but as I already have a 3 year old and I know I only want 2 kids I thought nature might play a trick on us (I'm ignoring you @tinypawz!). I'm always telling dp to be nicer to his mum, twin boys must have been a nightmare, they don't have any other siblings his mum said they put her off for life!!

sarahhh1984 · 27/04/2018 05:44

I'd heard similar @TinyPawz... but I'm also ignoring you! 😂 I've had two scans so far and there's only been one baby each time so if there's just one baby today then I'm taking that as gospel. To be honest, I'll just be happy if everything's OK. Woke up at 3am crying because I'd had a nightmare that when they did the scan there was nothing there. Think DH thinks I'm going crazy. 🙈

MeredithShepherd · 27/04/2018 06:10

Good luck for your scan today @sarahhh1984 and anyone else who is having there’s today!

TinyPawz · 27/04/2018 06:12

@sarahhh1984 I've had two scans too. Only one baby but you never know. Some people get the whole way through pregnancy before second baby decides to have its debut at the birth! Where he/she has been hiding all that time is anyones guess. DP thinks twins would be lovely. I think he is delusional

Laurisi · 27/04/2018 06:46

@nightmanagerfan sorry to here your news take care of yourself Flowers

It’s so nice seeing everyone’s scans Smile
Can’t wait to eventually have mine done still no date in yet 11+1 today Confused

sarahhh1984 · 27/04/2018 06:55

Thanks a @MeredithShepherd!

@TinyPawz DH was the same. One of our best friends has twins and it looks like such hard work so don't know why he's so keen. 😂

LastNightsMakeUp · 27/04/2018 07:15

Girls you sent me on a google hunt!

'Advances in ultrasound technology have also reduced the occurrences of overlooking the second fetus. While a decade or more ago it may have been easier to not see the hidden twin, today's imaging is far better and allows doctors and technicians to get a clearer view of the womb.'

www.verywellfamily.com/twin-pregnancy-faq-can-there-be-a-hidden-twin-2447478

I don't have my scan til next Wednesday - I think twins would be great as this will definitely be our last baby (babies!) but I'm sure it'd probably finish me off! Dd is all about saying 'no' this last week - yesterday we had (amongst others) 'are you getting out of the car?' 'no' 'Time to get out the bath' 'no' ...She even slammed her bedroom door on me so she could sit and and 'read' her book.... she's not even 2 til August! 😂😭 And OH is away for work all week... send help!

LastNightsMakeUp · 27/04/2018 07:36

Good luck for today's scans x

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 27/04/2018 07:50

So exciting to see all the lovely scans Smile

Here's mine again - but with name and DOB removed now.... doh!! Blush I think he/she looks so petite (I know it's actually tiny I'm not crazy I promise!)

Cannot wait for these blood test results to come back so we can tell DS. NT was only 1.7mm so I'm not worried just really want them back first. How long are they supposed to take?

Good luck for scans today. X

TinyPawz · 27/04/2018 08:17

Any other mums to be from North or Ireland? NT tests aren't done here, it's a bit odd imo. I think I would like to be prepared

Aussi · 27/04/2018 08:34

Apparently odds of having twins are 1 in 67 - entirely possible one of us will have them! The more people that have scans to show their single baby the more likely it is one of us later ones will be that 1 in 67...
