In theory should be able to tell @20weeks if baby is cooperating. I know of one hospital here that doesn't tell though, the one I will be attending does thank goodness

CVB1990 · 17/04/2018 01:13

Heyyyy everybody! Hope I’m ok to join 🙂 I’m in the Nov club too. Had early scan a couple weeks ago (all good) but all my dates just don’t add up yet so can’t wait to get scan appointment through!

I’ve been really suffering with sickness and general feeling gross. This is my 2nd but my 1st is 7 so it was quite a while ago now + I didn’t have any of this. Convinced this is a girl this time!

Hope your alll good + look forward to sharing our ups and downs the next 9 months

Nightmanagerfan · 17/04/2018 10:28

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. I’m going to leave it and see how I feel (whilst eating lots of bran flakes and fruit!)

Laurisi · 17/04/2018 11:07

Hope you all don’t mind me joining due 15th Nov with number 4 for me :-). I can honestly say so far this is the most ill I’ve been with all of my pregnancies ( constant nausea amongst a long list of other things.) xx

NoCatsHere · 17/04/2018 13:46

Welcome cvb and laurisi!

Had my booking in today I'm 8+1 and it was so nice as I got the midwife I had with my last successful pregnancy 3 years ago. She was so kind to me, and it made the whole process much better. She said because i'm over 38 and have had 2 mc in a row i can self refer to EPU and they'll give me a reassurance scan, so will try and call them in a bit and see what they say.

Laurisi · 17/04/2018 16:16

NoCatsHere thanks that’s good that you can self refer hopefully they will get you in then, let us know how you get on?. I’m so confused with everything this time I had my booking in last Friday and Midwife told me you don’t get paper notes anymore it’s on an online portal now, I like to have everything written down to keep me right. Seems to all have changed since I last done this (DDis 5). Confused

Emelene · 17/04/2018 18:40

Is anyone having round ligament pain? I think that's what I'm having intermittently and it's seriously painful! Right sided low abdominal pain and also left sided pain um ... shooting up the left side of my vagina. Blush I've never had it before and it's really disconcerting. I'm 11 + 3 today.

TheImprobableGirl · 17/04/2018 19:37

Thanks @nightmanagerfan and @miniminions ,it sounds a lot worse than it is! My eldest dd has it and is 'only' blind in one eye, so a lot less scary than massive neurological problems, dd2 doesn't have it at all Grin sorry to hear you have a genetic problem too nightmanagerfan - did you go through the genetic testing or just let it run its course?

Really pleased that you can self refer @nocatshere and that the booking in went smoothly

Sorry to those of you not feeling well, an ectopic pregnancy is excruciatingly painful usually, but that might not be until the very point of the fallopian tube exploding, so a dull ache is worth checking out! Could be your blood pressure dropping too low, or even the start of gestational diabetes and your blood sugar dipping too low too quickly.

Went to Drayton Manor today with dd's, so much walking involved! Got home and promptly fell asleep on my new mattress Grin Really happy we have got a new mattress though, I was lucky enough to be picked to be a tester for Dreams through Mumsnet and create our own mattress, its SOOOO comfy!

Entering my 12th week this week, so not long till my scan - @givemummythewhizzer I think mine is the 25th rather than the 24th, but luckily early in the morning - can't wait!

sarahhh1984 · 17/04/2018 19:44

Not been fully about for the last few days as it was DD's first birthday yesterday and I've been feeling rotten. Feel like I can't win. Cold is finally beginning to ease and, low and behold, nausea has reared its ugly head again.

Feel like an awful mother right now as I'm just tired and ill all the time no matter what I do. Poor DD just wants to play and it's all I can do to muster a little energy for a few minutes. Broke down and sobbed to DH for about an hour yesterday afternoon as I feel like I haven't been healthy since I got my BFP and just want this stage to pass. DH has been wonderful but I feel like I'm missing out with DD and it makes me feel crap. 😢

sarahhh1984 · 17/04/2018 19:45

Pressed post too early. Meant to add sorry for the rant, just need to get it off my chest as I feel so rubbish.

Shrimpi · 17/04/2018 19:52

@Emelene

I think I am having some kind of ligament pain as I get a brief but sharp and intense "popping" sensation in my left pelvis occasionally when I stretch or twist suddenly. Earlier in this thread I'm sure there was talk of "fanny daggers" something I'm glad I haven't experienced (yet?)

BunBunMum · 17/04/2018 21:05

Welcome to the newbies!

@cluelessmama - I had a miscarriage in Jan too. I’m 7+6 now and feel so anxious. Will try to not have an early private scan if I can to save money but we’ll see!

DrWhy · 17/04/2018 21:58

My goodness this thread moves fast! I had an early scan this evening that shows me as 8+2 and all well, which is a great relief. I’m feeling pretty nauseous, which is less fun. I’ve also bounced from a cold, to nausea to fatigue, it’s pretty grim.

TinyPawz · 17/04/2018 23:51

@TinyPaws good luck for tomorrow. Been thinking of you

MeredithShepherd · 18/04/2018 05:59

Emelene · 18/04/2018 08:17

Great news on your early scan @DrWhy.

Good luck today @TinyPawz

Emelene · 18/04/2018 08:18

Sorry, wrong one, I meant good luck to @TinyPaws !

mrsmistergav · 18/04/2018 08:43

Morning all! Good luck to anyone having scans today. I've been really struggling with my anxiety and can o my see bad things happening. Every little twinge and I'm expecting the worse. I had a mmc last year and still can't believe it's actually happening. Anyone have any tips? This is my first baby.

TinyPaws · 18/04/2018 08:45

Thank you for all the good wishes x

intelligentPutty · 18/04/2018 08:57

@mrsmistergav
It's hard after an mc. I don't know what advise I can give apart from to take each day at a time. I hope u have an easy and uneventful pregnancy. Smile

GreenMeerkat · 18/04/2018 08:59

@Emelene I've been having round ligament pain since about 6 weeks (this is #3 though). Now started with the fanny daggers. Lovely!

MeredithShepherd · 18/04/2018 09:01

Finally got my scan date through! Next Thursday at 1.50! I should be 12+3 then! So excited now!

petiteange28 · 18/04/2018 09:17

@sarahhh1984 just reaching out as I completely understand. It's our DS' 1st birthday on Monday so he's only a few days behind yours! I'm also feeling crap and was woken by DS this morning at 4:45am - I have a sore throat now and a runny nose - just what I need. I'm working full time, I get home utterly shattered and then have no energy left for him and just look forward to him going to bed so I can go to bed. DH has been away with work too so that has not helped. I just wish I could get some more sleep. I remember pregnancy being exhausting without a child but this, this is another level exhaustion.

Sorry for my rant....but just wanted you to know that you are not alone! Wink
