@Badbadbeans So sorry about your scan results. It really is shit.

MrsFTigalar · 13/04/2018 20:17

Really sorry to hear about your scan @badbadbeans - I really hope there is hope. And that you're being well supported. @ditzzy fingers crossed for your next one.

I have had a crazy week of teaching and leading at holiday club. I'm shattered. I'll be glad when DS is back at nursery next week - so I can rest. Mind you, the house is still upside down so chances are slim.

Instill feel sick pretty much all the time. It's not passing at all. 9 weeks Monday and week 10 was my worst last time.

I'm also in the looking pg by bedtime crew. It's crackers!

bangwhistle · 13/04/2018 20:29

@BadBadBeans I'm so sorry to hear your news. Now is the time to look after yourself and do whatever makes you feel best. I ho-e y9u get a quick resolution.

@ditzzy fingers crossed the next couple of weeks go quickly for you. Sounds promising and maybe the measurements were just a bit off?

I had my Harmony results come in this evening and I'm so, so relived the came back clear. I might be able to relax a little for the first time in 3 months. 12 week scan on Wednesday so there is still that hurdle. But I feel like I've cleared the biggest one.

sarahhh1984 · 13/04/2018 20:33

I have a small bump in the morning and by evening I also look about six months gone.

So ill today. I've had a cold since Easter Sunday but I cleared up a couple of days ago. Today it was back with a vengeance. I was coughing so hard it was triggering my gag reflex and making me vomit. Confused Ended up going to the GP as my mum had a really nasty infection of her trachea early this week and has been taking antibiotics for it so I was a bit concerned. Apparently it's just a virus so all I can do is take paracetamol when necessary and drink lots of fluids. Oh, and rest. Which is super easy when you have a little on whose first birthday is on Monday! Envy

To add insult to injury, I'd just got rid of the pregnancy nausea! Although the boob pain and lying-down-hip-pain has kicked in.

Feel terrible because on the one hand I just want to get to my due date as quickly as possible but, on the other, it's wonderful seeing DD going from baby to toddler and I don't want to wish the time away!

MiniMinions · 13/04/2018 21:24

@Shrimpi nope! If he got rid of his beard maybe!!

@sarahhh1984 i hope you feel better soon

Re bumps...just the pouch!! But sometimes feels firmer than squishy!!

TinyPawz · 13/04/2018 23:20

Well after the DF lukewarm reaction to pregnancy news, he has redeemed himself. Bless him, he has given money to buy pram & cot. He is a good spud really

Amarettoplease · 13/04/2018 23:23

Sorry to hear the scan wasn’t positive badbadbeans. Thinking of you and I hope ditzzy has some better news soon too.

I bet that’s a relief @bangwhistle, another step closer.

Whenever I think the nausea is going it comes back again. 11+4 or 10+3 today depending on which dates I use. 12 week scan next Thursday, feeling anxious as it’s not reasonable to try to hide my bump from students I teach anymore but it feels odd saying anything before the scan. I had one at 10/9 weeks but keep thinking what if I tell them and then have a mmc. I just want to be able to look inside and check!

Has anyone managed to find a ‘cure’ for gas (both ends Blush) ??

BadBadBeans · 14/04/2018 00:43

@bangwhistle I'm so glad your results were clear!

I did go to the event; thanks everyone for suggesting things about that :) It was lovely and it was absolutely the best thing I could have done so I'm really pleased.

I'm getting quite a lot of brown blood now so I reckon this is actually the miscarriage starting. Quite happy about that really - I don't want the whole thing to drag out. I'm genuinely feeling okay. Just a bit emotionally exhausted!

TheUbercornMum · 14/04/2018 09:00

@badbadbeans I'm really sorry.

@Bangwhistle thankfully all good for us too. So relieved!

Hope everyone is feeling OK today. I've now told some of my friends our news. Aaaand @MeredithShepherd and I actually know one another from our first antenatal group and I'm so chuffed we'll be experiencing things again together!

Is there a Facebook group for us? If so I'd love to join. I wasn't ready a while back when it was discussed!

TheUbercornMum · 14/04/2018 09:00

Hmm sorry about that weird extra spacing!!!!!

TinyPawz · 14/04/2018 09:01

Not everyone has facebook though, I think it turns the buses in themuns and us's

MeredithShepherd · 14/04/2018 09:03

Hi @TheUbercornMum waves
I do actually know her, it’s so so weird and I’m so happy we will be doing it together again!! Wouldn’t it be funny if you had a boy and I had a girl this time and had a role reversal!! I have no idea what to do with girls! Grin

Potkettleblack2 · 14/04/2018 09:25

Hello! Yes, there is a FB group. If you send me a PM with your email address I'll add you.

BunBunMum · 14/04/2018 10:31

Sorry @badbadbeans - take care of yourself xx

@Potkettleblack2 can I join the FB group too? I find it easier to follow threads etc on there than on MN! Feels a tad early as I’m only 7+3 but I can always leave again should the worst happen.

Got my scan date through this morning - 18th May which feels an eternity away. I’ll be 12+2

TheImprobableGirl · 14/04/2018 10:32

aww @theubercornmum and @meredithshepherd thats lovely that you know each other! I never went to any antenatal groups/ NCT classes with my previous 2 pregnancies. With the first I felt that I was just too young and would be judged (was 21 but looked 15/16 due to being very short and skinny!) and the second I just ran out of time Grin

@badbadbeans really sorry you are going through this, did you end up going to the event or just let things run their course?

great news about the positive harmony test results, wish I'd had the testing for that, think i'm much too late now though! Will be having the screening for edwards, pataus and downs next wednesday though. 11 weeks today! Fig sized baby isn't making my tummy any bigger that I can tell yet, but I think I'm losing weight already due to no drinking and the GD diet - its such a pain.

@Potkettleblack2 I've sent you a PM for the facebook group

MrsFTigalar · 14/04/2018 10:53

@badbadbeans really sorry to hear that.

And what lovely serendipity @theubercornmum and @meredithshepherd (if I mean serendipity!)

I've broken out the maternity jeans. It wasn't that mine were too small as such, but I just felt really uncomfortable having them vaguely tight on my tummy. Between that and a soft cup bra, I look an utter sight, but I'm so comfy I don't care!

sarahhh1984 · 14/04/2018 11:07

@MrsFTigalar We're twinning today then! Maternity jeans and soft cup bra here too. Although I'm also wearing all the layers in an attempt to combat this cold so I look huge.

@TheImprobableGirl This cold has absolutely killed my appetite. Having to force myself to eat anything at all so I could be losing weight too. Probably not an awful thing since I've put on about a million pounds in the last few weeks. There's plenty of reserve there for the baby to live off. 😂

Fireba11 · 14/04/2018 11:14

Hi all, it's my first post 😊 I had an early scan done privately which gave me estimated date of 7w 1day, meaning I'm 10w today! I've got my midwife appointment on Thursday and scan on Friday, which is exciting/scary.

Am definitely with you all with the nausea 🤢 though I'm thankful I haven't actually been sick yet!

MeredithShepherd · 14/04/2018 11:15

I’ve given up with jeans today and DS and I are having a pj day! DP is painting his house today in preparation to sell it so he can officially move in with us. Although my house is tiny so not sure there will be much room going from a 2 person family to a 4 person family! We may have to sell mine too and buy something bigger together. Now that is a commitment!!!

TheImprobableGirl · 14/04/2018 11:48

Can’t seem to get on the fb group so I might wind up staying on here after all... 11 weeks is too early to feel movement isn’t it? Starting to feel bubbles popping already- although that could be the chickpea heavy diet GrinEnvy dh out tonight so a kids party and then the evening to myself followed by in laws tomorrow. Will relax once that’s out of the way!

MeredithShepherd · 14/04/2018 11:54

@TheImprobableGirl I can’t get on the fb group either. Lots of people have tried to add me and it just won’t let them. I have obviously pissed off Facebook somehow! I really want to be on it though Sad

BadBadBeans · 14/04/2018 12:40

@TheImprobableGirl yes I did go thank you and it was lovely. And I got a night in a hotel all to myself and a chance to have breakfast solo in a cafe this morning and do a bit of writing to help process everything. It was great and the best thing I could have done. Now home again, feeling crampy and losing more blood. I think I'm going to hop off this thread now but thank you everyone for sharing the last few weeks with me. Best of luck in all your pregnancies xxx

TheUbercornMum · 14/04/2018 12:45

@MeredithShepherd ha we will have to swap boy vs girl tips!! Grin That's fab news about houses!!

Feeling so nauseous today, just hoping it disappears later. Fed up with feeling yuck when the sun is shining outside!

@theinprobablegirl weird you say that about movement I've felt something strange in the last few days. I think you can feel early movement on subsequent pregnancies...! I kinda want to feel movement as its reassuring but in the same way then starts the worry if you don't feel things! There's always something haha!!

TheUbercornMum · 14/04/2018 13:42

@badbadbeans I'm very sorry and I wish you all the very best. Flowers

TheUbercornMum · 14/04/2018 13:46

@theinprobablegirl just to say it's not too late to do the Harmony Test if you wanted to do it. People do it after the nhs test if they get high results to provide more clarity before more invasive choices, we just decided not to go through the stress of possibly getting high nhs results because of age and go straight for it. So the option is there if you felt you wanted to. Some nhs trusts pay for the Harmony if nhs results come back high risk.
