I should stay away from google!!

There was also a fetal pole visible on scan - which if it’s really 5 and a bit weeks is amazing to see on an abdominal scan apparently. Next couple of weeks are going to be nail-biting.

NoCatsHere · 13/04/2018 13:08

badbeans and ditzzy sorry you both didn't have straightforward scans. Yes beans was there a heartbeat? Any hope? I really feel for you both, I've been in that position twice and i's not easy. Be kind to yourselves over the next week. I have things crossed just in case. Flowers

dontquit · 13/04/2018 13:34

@badbeans so sorry to read your news just now. I've been there and know how awful it is. Be kind to yourself and hope there are people to look after you xx

@ditzzy I think it's really unusual to see heartbeat at 5+ weeks so hopefully the measurements are just a bit off. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm 11+3 now. Been having brown discharge on wiping for over a week. Had quick scan last Sunday in epu and there was heartbeat so relaxed a bit. Then yesterday there was some bright red streaks in cm along with brown. No pains so trying to stay positive. Going to push for 12/13 week scan as don't always get them here.

Exactly 2 yrs between my dds. I didn't get double buggy at the time but did get buggy board. My 2 yr old was at the point of hating the buggy so the board worked well. Was sorry I didn't invest in a sling the last time though so think I will this time. Need to research closer to due date. I've kept everything from last 2 so need very little this time. This time will have 3yr 4mth gap so hoping it will be a little less chaotic in the initial few mths.

BadBadBeans · 13/04/2018 13:42

She didn't mention a heartbeat so I guess not. @ditzzy yours sounds much more positive - maybe it's just a tiddler!

We have dtd at the right time for a 6 week baby but it doesn't tally with my pregnancy tests or my cycle. The nurse said she was sorry... Don't think there is any hope there.

@dontquit hope the bleeding stops for you x

LastNightsMakeUp · 13/04/2018 13:52

@BadBadBeans sorry to hear your scan wasn't good news. Have everything crossed that it's a mix up and all will be ok. Did you have an abdominal ultrasound?

@ditzzy sorry to hear yours wasn't straight forward either. I think they're so small at this stage it must be between millimetres!

Nightmanagerfan · 13/04/2018 13:58

@badbadbeans I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ll be thinking of you... really tough this pregnancy malarkey isn’t it - so many things to worry about. Hope you can get some rest and be kind to yourself

BadBadBeans · 13/04/2018 14:00

@LastNightsMakeUp abdominal followed by internal. She could see the sac on the abdominal but not clearly. I've also had more red blood. I personally think she is wrong that the bleeding is implantation. It seems too heavy. Anyway she advised I hold off on my booking in appointment which I was supposed to have tomorrow. So at least now I have a free Saturday?! Supposed to be going out to this event tonight but I'm not sure I want to... Rather torn!

LastNightsMakeUp · 13/04/2018 14:12

@BadBadBeans oh that's rubbish. I think going out and having to be sociable would be the last thing I'd want to do too. But may take your mind off the worry? Seems like it'd be quite late for implantation bleeding?... on the other hand if you were 6 weeks you'd not necessarily see a heartbeat anyway. Being in limbo I think is often the cruelest part when you don't have a definite answer either way.

BadBadBeans · 13/04/2018 14:15

@LastNightsMakeUp To be honest I think it is a pretty definite answer. But it will be good to have it confirmed next week nonetheless as then I can properly start trying to put it behind me. Yes the event itself is fine but the being sociable and the night away from home is putting me off! X

toasterstrudle · 13/04/2018 14:34

@BadBadBeans urgh that is just gutting, I'm so sorry. Take time to look after yourself, it's ok to be sad. The event may be a distraction but equally if you want to call off and have a night in that might be better for you. I'm so sorry, such a sad update.

@ditzzy keeping fingers crossed for you, hopefully you'll have a good scan next time. Horrible to have such a worry in between.

ThanksSad

wejammin · 13/04/2018 14:35

@BadBadBeans so sorry about your scan. I hope you've got lots of IRL support and someone lean on x

TheImprobableGirl · 13/04/2018 15:17

Really sorry to hear about your scans @badbadbeans and @ditzzy

You know it’s never over until it, well, is- so hopefully you will have good news. Be kind to yourselves xx

petiteange28 · 13/04/2018 15:59

Sorry to read about your updates @badbadbeans and @ditzzy. Keeping my fingers crossed that the news will get better. Hope you get plenty of rest of the weekend and some time for yourselves. x

MeredithShepherd · 13/04/2018 16:20

@badbadbeans oh I’m so sorry. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you that your dates are just wrong Sad
@ditzzy glad your scan showed an active heartbeat, fingers crossed for you too.
I am so so worried about my 12 week scan now... even though I had a scan at 7+2 with a heartbeat I read all the time especially on here about mmc. I’m convinced that has happened to me, most of my symptoms have gone too Sad

Magpie24 · 13/04/2018 16:28

@BadBadBeans really sorry to hear your update. Make sure you take good care of yourself and I hope you have someone at home to make a fuss of you!

@ditzzy also sorry to hear about a scan that has left you worried. Wishing you all the luck.

AiredaleFan · 13/04/2018 16:29

8+1 today. Nausea comes and goes but is generally bearable, but just now got quite bad. Increasing pregnancy symptoms or a normal reaction to the large bag of liquorice allsorts I just scoffed in one sitting?!

marchblossom · 13/04/2018 16:36

Thinking of you @BadBadBeans

ditzzy · 13/04/2018 16:43

Definitely thinking of you Beans.

I was expecting it to be a complete game-over for me today, so while I really appreciate the hand-holding I’m feeling remarkably happier.

Liquorice allsorts make me feel that way after 2 @Airdale - I dread to think what a whole bag would do to me Grin

Shrimpi · 13/04/2018 16:43

@Badbadbeans

Sad so sorry about your news Sad

Could you go to the event tonight with a contingency plan for leaving early if you do begin to feel very upset? X

Shrimpi · 13/04/2018 17:02

@ditzzy So pleased you are feeling good after the scan!

I am feeling a lot better, nausea and headaches still on and off but much more manageable, haven't actually vomited in days. It does feel hard to believe I am pregnant at times, I spend a lot of time not thinking about it at all / almost "forgetting". Probably for the best as I am another 3 weeks from my first scan hopefully. Keep having the thought I'll go and find out I've imagined it all. I'm trying to adopt a "what will be, will be" mentality but that probably wouldn't be much comfort if anything bad were to happen.

My husband was very sweet today putting his his hands on my belly though there is nothing to feel except a paunch!

I have been finding him wildly physically attractive lately (though my overall libido is low as I feel gross). Don't know if he has changed something about his look or is it a "symptom" haha? Anyone else with this?

MeredithShepherd · 13/04/2018 17:44

@Shrimpi completely the opposite here! I don’t want DP anywhere near me, if he touches me in bed I growl at him! Grin

NoCatsHere · 13/04/2018 17:45

Anyone else on pregnancy 2 or 3 looking massive in the evening. I'm not joking when I say I look about 4 months pregnant in the eve. It's not too bad in the morning but as the day goes on the bloat is so bad that if I see anyone in the eve there's no way they wouldn't guess. It makes me just want to hibernate and not go out! Oh and also I'm addicted to orange juice and sauerkraut. What a combo.

TheImprobableGirl · 13/04/2018 17:47

eww sauerkraut!
I too look like a barrel, just glad only 12 days to go before the scan and I can officially tell people!

Shrimpi · 13/04/2018 18:07

@MeredithSheperd

I don't actually feel an urge to act upon the attraction - my libido is on holiday! I just thinks he looks (mostly the face) really fine at the moment Wink

We did have sex the other day instigated by him. I hadn't felt in the mood for it but I enjoyed myself and afterward it was nice to just feel a bit "normal" and attractive again. I was having a "what if we never have sex again and we drift apart and get divorced" sort of thought loop just before that haha.

MeredithShepherd · 13/04/2018 18:15

I actually look about 6 months pregnant by the evening!! I do have a little bump in the morning but by the evening I’m a whale!
