So many twinges, but hoping its just things settling down and stretching in nicely...definitely going to call the acupuncture place i think and see if i can get some treatment for my worries and recurrent mc's - make sure this foetus imbeds well!

badbadbeans i think thats the thing, you know your body and works well for you and need to make decisions based on that. i knew that being induced my body did not like those chemicals and so i was happy to give natural a go, but only on my terms. So i guess in your case, you could definitely go elcs, or have a plan that if you go into labour naturally by say 40 weeks great, and if not then you want a csection. i was having meetings about it up to 36 weeks so i felt i could change my mind at any minute...and even when i was overdue at 41 weeks, when i went in for my sweep i still said if nothing happens in 3 days i want a csection and they were great about it and sort of semi booked me in ready in case. i think when you have your appointment about it get them to go through your notes and see why you didn't end up birthing naturally.

questa there is almost 4 years between my first 2 ds and the gap is great, it wasn't intended by it works well. financially it was better for us, no double buggy, one out of nursery and into school before the next went into nursery and also my first ds could go to the loo by himself, get dressed etc without any worry so my life was definitely simpler! he understood, was gentle to him and helped me out a lot. so there's no perfect age gap but there is definitely benefits to all gaps. this time there will be more than 4 years between 2 and 3 and i'm happy the gap is similar. Ds1 and 2 do play nicely together some games and toys, and are also happy to play separately....

bangwhistle · 20/03/2018 21:17

Wise words @BadBadBeans. I'm a catastrophiser too. It makes me feel prepared. But you're right of course. Bizarrely this time I'm much more relaxed about miscarriage. I guess because that doesn't affect my other DC.

minime2017 · 20/03/2018 21:26

Want to wish everyone a happy and healthy 9 months but sadly my journey has come to an end. After 2 days of spotting and cramping thats got increasingly worse I'm now bleeding so I fear its all over. Good luck everyone. Hopefully it'll happen for us again soon.

toasterstrudle · 20/03/2018 21:37

Oh @minime2017 I'm so sorry to hear that. Get checked by EPU just in case. Take care of yourself and sending lots of chocolate and unmumsnetty hugs to you.

SkyLucy · 20/03/2018 21:40

Hi @theubercornmum, I'm due end of October too (29th), but was a week late with my daughter so figure November is more realistic!

I love the description of your relationship with your brother @badbadbeans - I'm 4.5 yrs older than my brother too, and love him so much! I could have written the same as you. Looking back, I think my parents were very clever indeed...I specifically remember requesting "a baby brother called Joseph"...and that's what I got, ha!

olderthanyouthink · 20/03/2018 21:51

@minime2017 I'm so sorry to hear that, take care of yourself Cake

confuddledconfudle · 20/03/2018 22:22

@mrsd1103 I see from spreadsheet that you are in Devon, I gave birth to my lg in RD&E and cannot recommend them enough. I have heard lots of good reports about the Honiton Hilton as well! You may be North though so neither would be much use. Honiton Hilton I've heard of people staying a week, to have support with Baby and breast feeding. (Disclaimer: It's not actually a Hilton - it's been nicknamed that as supposedly it is so good)

Unfortunately I have moved areas so I'm back to the unknown of what the maternity service is like.

Magpie24 · 20/03/2018 22:24

@minime2017 I'm so sorry to hear this. Take it easy and sending you my very best wishes.

confuddledconfudle · 20/03/2018 22:30

@minime2017 so sorry to read your update - make sure to get checked out - Thanks

bellanotte22 · 20/03/2018 22:55

@minime2017 sending you lots of love and hugs.

OuiChef · 21/03/2018 00:24

Hello everyone! I’m hopping on your bus. I’ve just found out I’m 5+2 with my third, quite a shock! I’m 35 (36 when baby arrives, fingers crossed all well), from Hampshire and my due date is 19th Nov. I hope everyone is feeling ok, I can’t believe it’s the second thread already! I’d love to join the FB group if it’s just confined to us lot? Could someone send me details please?

dontquit · 21/03/2018 00:35

@minime2017 so sorry to hear your news. Hope you are doing ok. Look after yourself x

Fluffybat · 21/03/2018 06:57

This looks exciting. Hello everyone! I'm due end of Nov. I already have a ds who is almost 11months... This second baby happened a lot quicker than expected. Nervous about having two so young.

LastNightsMakeUp · 21/03/2018 07:01

@minime2017 so sorry to read your update this morning, thinking of you.

Welcome @OuiChef and other recent BFP's 🖐

@NoCatsHere thank you for your VBAC share, really interesting to here about it and that you'd still consider another this time around. I think I've been pretty set on an elcs since the moment I had my emcs (all being well with this pg) but I'm concerned about recovery time with a second section (recovery was textbook last time). I'm also in Sussex (Mid/West) and have self referred online this week.

Thankfully so far no more 'streaky' discharge (sorry if TMI) since yesterday morning. I'm feeling well so 🤞. I'm trying to be positive and even ordered a next to me cot as they had £50 off on amazon and it's the one thing I wish I'd got last time.

hellotoyellow · 21/03/2018 07:28

@minime2017 I'm so sorry to hear that, thinking of you Flowers.

I went to EPU yesterday at 5+6 as I felt dizzy and had pain. All in the right place but have to go back in 2 weeks as no heartbeat yet. They were really nice but two weeks seems quite long! Fingers crossed it grows.

confuddledconfudle · 21/03/2018 08:29

I have been doing a test every day Blush but they don't seem to be getting darker. I'm only 4+1 today so I hope it is just because I'm so early. I am worried about it thoughConfused

I did a clear blue yesterday and it said 1-2 weeks which I guess was accurate. I want to do another one to see if it goes up to 3 weeks but thinking I will need to leave it for a few days yet.

Also tmi but anytime having increased bowel movements?

DrWhy · 21/03/2018 09:17

So I got a +ve yesterday! In theory that makes my due date 27th November although my first was 6 days late so this could well be a December baby - either way it should just sneak in while I’m 37 rather than 38!
I have one DS who’s 18 months and I’m now having a bit of a panic about the gap. My DSis and I have 2.5 years between us and I loathed her from the moment she came home from hospital - we fought like cat and dog and only started to get on when I moved out to uni. I wanted a smaller gap in the hope they would be closer but it’s ended up being very similar - DS is such an awesome cheery, helpful little boy I am terrified that I’m going to destroy his world by introducing a sibling who he will resent. Argh! This baby is much wanted but I’m already afraid of the impact it will have on DS, my family, my relationship with DH etc etc. Please tell me this panic is normal!!

TinyPaws · 21/03/2018 09:30

This thread moves fast! Welcome to the new people, sorry for anything I've inadvertently missed!

@minime2017 sorry to hear your news, hope you're holding up OK. Flowers

I'm 4 weeks today, got an early scan at 7 weeks booked in as I've had fertility treatment which is linked to increased risk of ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage and multiples.

My boobs have grown quite a bit, my bras don't fit properly anymore and my work tunic is very tight. Think I'm going to need some bigger uniforms!

sarahhh1984 · 21/03/2018 09:37

@minime2017, I was so sorry to read your post this morning. I hope you've been able to get yourself checked out. Flowers

Welcome to all of the new faces.

@hellotoyellow DH was able to get me the Boots Folic Acid and Vitamin D supplements yesterday so took one of them plus a Vitamin C supplement this morning instead of the Seven Seas. Still feel a bit nauseous but nowhere near as bad as I was with those other multivits. Obviously it could just be a coincidence, but you never can tell! Also, they're much better value. £3.79 (I think) for 60 tablets while the ones I was taking before were between £5 and £10 for just 28.

NoCatsHere · 21/03/2018 10:00

minime sorry to hear your news. take good care of yourself, all the best for your future journey.

welcome ouichef and fluffybat and drwhy!!!

lastnight I'm east sussex, i think knowing about recovery isn't easy, mine was also textbook the first time, but this time with two kids in tow and having to do the school and nursery run etc i'm not sure if the healing will be as easy? like i said though, a decision does not have to be made early on, so have a really good think about it all, and feel free to change your mind at any point! i've no idea what i'll do....

confuddle it is so early for us, i'm only 4+2 and like others have said unless you're doing the same test at the same time each day they can vary. I would wait at least a week before doing another clearblue.

TheUbercornMum · 21/03/2018 10:13

@SkyLucy hi! I was so overdue last time so it felt like everyone had their babies before me! Having HG and going to 40+11 def wasn't my plan, I wanted to go into labour at 37 weeks Grin My DD had other ideas haha!

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 21/03/2018 10:15

Hi All,

Sorry to hear of all those with bleeding/losses. Wishing you all the very best. Flowers

I did another test this morning.....just to make sure its still there! What is wrong with me! Blush! When I'm not feeling nauseous I just don't feel pregnant! I am getting the odd cramp every now and again and feeling sicky if I'm not eating.

This stage is just so different for me as with not finding out about DS until 25 weeks I've never really experienced this early stage before.....its all so worrying.

I sleep on my stomach normally and I keep waking up on my front and panicking even though I know its not an issue at this stage...

I think the long wait for FIL funeral isn't helping my worries. Its not until 3rd April and I don't think anyone will stop stressing and start recovering until its all over.

We do have the early scan booked for the 28th and I'm hoping that will ease my stressing. Booking is in 5th April.

7+3 today (we think!); little Raspberry sized embryo Grin

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 21/03/2018 10:16

Sorry; and big welcome to all the newbies! Grin

MrsFTigalar · 21/03/2018 10:34

@Givemummythewhizzer - I did the same yesterday! Last night I felt ok so was worrying, but this morning i feel so sick again.

Those of you with other little ones (DS is 3) are you just planning on telling them at 12 weeks, or do you think a book might help? Sorry if that sounds dense, i hadn't really thought about it till just now

SkyLucy · 21/03/2018 10:39

@theubercornmum Ha, the best laid plans eh? Sorry to hear about HG, poor thing.

@fluffybat I'll have a very similar age gap as you - my DD is 13 months today and I'm due end of October. This is very much a surprise (but wanted!) baby...the next few years should be, er, interesting!! I really don't think there's any such thing as a perfect age gap though...I just hope both bubbas get along, but I know that's not guaranteed! We'll be grand. Gin is great ;-)
