Just copping a feel of my bump...it feels like there are two bottoms in there....unless this bub has the widest ass known to man (well with the size of mine, she might just at that!!)

sneeple · 12/05/2007 11:08

yeah I just hope that I will one day be able to get into all my lovely collection of 36Gs again... sigh

daisybump · 12/05/2007 11:16

You can try something like this sneeple, but there are others out there too. I think it has a flap that lifts up. We're staying in the hotel where the reception is being held (which is handily just across the road from the church) so I plan to just nip up to our room to feed!

Or you could go for a nice outfit and get one of those cape things to hide it all away...onlt kidding they're horible.

Just found this dress which looks nice too!

Ooh, i'm all geared up for shopping now, but I must be off!

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 11:31

We are going to need a new thread this evening girlies! Get your thinking caps on!!

CSG hope you are feeling ok. No natural methods worked for me to get my dd out. Curry, pineapples, sex etc. (Although I didn't try oral prostaglandins, that was one step too far!). However medical induction worked very well for me. One dose of prostin and out popped a small person. It may work well for you as well, so don't worry if you do have to be induced, not all induction stories are horror stories!

Hi sneeple! Welcome! Maybe you could get a nice pashmina/shawl type thing to drape over your shoulders for the wedding. Then you can bf quite discretely!

Farking HB, I thought it had gone! I feel like I'm going to chuck up loads of hot water! I think it may have been the 3 pancakes I had for breakfast! Oops! I have run out of antacid as well! Bollocks!

riabutterflew · 12/05/2007 11:34

Morning all. Have collected two very happy boys from the grandparents - they were NO TROUBLE at all. I am shattered as my friend stayed until nearly 2am and then DH preoceeded to take up the whole of the bed and snore like a drunken pig. I only had two glasses of wine too (positively angelic...)

Am annoyed 'cos the postman came with a parecel while I was collecting the boys so I'll have to wait 'til Monday.

Am going to clean the extractor fan in the kitchen - wish me luck.

Have a good day.

BZ, thanks for the offer of cushions - the people I was thinking of are now not bothering.

daisybump · 12/05/2007 11:51

TWUNT TWUNT TWUNT TWUNT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Jus got my bank statement in and an £8K insurance policy I surrendered is not showing in the account and I'm farking overdrawn. Got out the letter from the insurance company and the farking bank account no. is wrong by one digit.

So, some lucky punter has got my £8K and hasn't bothered alerting the bank to this fact. The insurance company isn't open till monday so I can't do anything about it till then........Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck.

I've been spending the bloody money on baby things and new cameras and shit like that....and now have no idea how ling it will take to sort out. Think I'll sue them for emotional distress...arses!

hollyandalice · 12/05/2007 11:58

Don't worry daisy, no-one will have your money. The banks make their account nos and sort codes so that if you replace one digit the number doesn't make sense. The insurance company will still have your money. It may take them a while, but it will get sorted. Also if it is their fault they will have to refund your bank charges. Still what a bunch of twunts for not telling you the number was wrong!!

Ria, my dd is always a little angel for her grandparents! They just like to show us up!

bumperlicious · 12/05/2007 12:13

Pingu, so far I have had a bowl of coco pops and 2 yum yums from waitrose so I wouldn't feel too bad about the cream cake - it's almost like having milk with your cereal isn't it?

bumperlicious · 12/05/2007 12:19

DH and I just popped to waitrose to get papers and yummy goodies now have gone back to bed - much better than the baby show!

Daisy - thanks for the advice re: bag, I first saw it in person in boots, I actually already have a really nice bag, but just got a bit seduced by the red! I'm the same with red shoes! Thing I'm going to get it, after all a pink bag won't go with all my outfits! Need to get some other stuff from boots anyway, like arnica and lavender. We were going to pop into town but weather is so crap I'll just do my shopping online instead!

daisybump · 12/05/2007 12:40

That figures HandA....but its been over a month, surely the insurance company should have been in touch about it if the bank has sent the money back....or are they just holding onto it waiting for me to get in touch? They'll be refunding my bank charges and paying me the interest that would have accrued, plus a little something for the stress and inconvenience of it all if I have my way.....and they better just hope that I don't into labour this weekend!!

Damn.....it's curbed my internet shopping his weekend, that's for sure!

riabutterflew · 12/05/2007 12:55

That stinks daisy. I was going to tell you something that happened to DH, but reading it back I won't bother 0 not suitable for PG distress! Just hope you have better luck than us!

I am dead chuffed - have finished the extractor fan! Either it wasn't as dirty as last time I cleaned it (not likely) or I haven't been as obsessive as normal (more like it), but -JOB DONE AND CROSSED OFF! I'm sureit took nearly all day last time. Feel I can spend more time on here now...

daisybump · 12/05/2007 12:58

you can't say yhat and not tell.....me. I'm off thinking I won't get the money at all now...or it'll take months to sort out and I'll have to sell DS in order to live for the next 10.5mo, or go back to work when the bub is onl 2 weeks old. ....tell me!

sneeple · 12/05/2007 13:01

Daisy, my DP had his wages paid into an account with one digit wrong for months and the bank always transfered it to the right account until his work finally sorted out - it just took a couple of extra days.

I hope they sort it out PDQ!!!

jo

daisybump · 12/05/2007 13:09

I'm sure it'll all work out, it's just annoying that these sort of things come to light on a bloody Saturday and you can't do anything about it until Monday.

I'm not fretting about it that much. It's their mistake, so they can sort it out and reimburse me as required.

Off to take it out on the rest of the ironing....

Good for you on your chores Ria.....extractor fans are so far down my list I can't even see that far!!

notsolilKel · 12/05/2007 13:42

Holly try mint ice cream for the HB - so much more pleasant than the Gaviscon anyway

Ruddy banks. Don't get me started....

Unpacked my labour/hospital bag so I could repack it and discovered I'd not packed a hairbrush and all that trouble to get the straighteners in....

daisybump · 12/05/2007 13:50

LOL Lilkel....

Can I ask a question about your elective...how do they decide on which date? Is there a minimum period before your due date or is it basically whenever tehy can fit you in? After all my umming and aaahing, I'm considering an elective as an option....getting really scared about D-day an possbily needing to have a section anyway.

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 14:55

PMSL that you forgot your hairbrush lilkel!

Daisy, don't worry about that cock up, it will all be sorted on Monday. Carry on as normal.

Ria, doesn't it feel good crossing the jobs off your list? Not that I have crossed any off today, but I have just had a delicious custart donut.

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 14:57

Don't get the waitrose mint choc icecream. Tastes like Pollyfilla.

That's a tough decision about having a c-section. Did you have one last time Daisy?

Any news from SOH? I know she had the baby by emergency section. No birth announcement yet?

derlor · 12/05/2007 15:15

foxybrown · 12/05/2007 15:19

Glad you are feeling better Derlor!

Its lansinoh for me every time. Everything else is a waste of money. And it works beautifully on cracked heels.

derlor · 12/05/2007 15:22

yeah i thought so, some things are just not worth saving on huh!!!
cracked heels huh is that like using anusol for puffy eyes????!!!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 12/05/2007 15:24

better! and there's all that handwashing you have to do with newborns. Good for all chapped skin - including my fishermans hands!

Are you child-free at the mo?

derlor · 12/05/2007 15:26

no not child free - they came home at lunchtime currently have my own 2 + 2 of DS's friends in but they all playing happilly in conservatory so i'm just ignoring them
are yours entertaining themselves at the mo?

OP posts:
notsolilKel · 12/05/2007 15:33

hmm yes, meant to ask about the anusol on puffy eyes suggestion. is this for real?? or would it result in highly embarassing trip to A&E requiring the following statement upon entry "excuse me, I need help, I've got a problem from putting Anusol on my eye bags?"

Lansinoh, definitely. Also world's best lip balm.

Section dates: when there is no indication that an earlier delivery by section is needed (eg with very large baby, high blood pressure, meconium in the water etc) the idea is to wait as long as possible, to improve chances of having a fully-cooked sprog. I think 39 weeks is a typical time. If you go into labour before then you just get to hospital asap and they put you through to theatre. IMHO a planned section is the least stressful way to go, if a section is a possibility anyway. Emergency section following failed attempt at vag delivery being the most exhausting scenario imaginable...

notsolilKel · 12/05/2007 15:35

actually it's waitrose mint chip I've got in the freezer. Polyfilla you say? hmm. Still better than Gaviscon What brand do you recommend then? And where can I get it?
