Oh my goodness @hearts22 huge congrats what an amazing weight for so early x

Northernbeachbum · 20/05/2018 13:50

Argh you have made me remember I need a nightgown and big pants! Thank you!!!

Watchingmasterchef · 20/05/2018 14:16

Sorry it’s ruined it for me a bit. Can’t help thinking hearts22 has had a bit of fun . Thought this was a nice supportive conversation but now have to remind myself this is the internet

Northernbeachbum · 20/05/2018 15:16

Unfortunately some people seem to have too much free time @watchingmasterchef (hopefully not in this case though!!)

SparklesandBubbles · 20/05/2018 16:47

@ElizabethLemon yes been bouncing on ball / drinking raspberry leaf tea. Eating pineapple. We had a curry last night! I also had a reflexology session on Wednesday which if nothing else made me feel super relaxed!

@jadeward89 I've found the nappies and maternity pads have taken up half my bag too!! I need to have another look at mine as I think I might have too much in there - packed it last week when I thought I might be staying for a couple of weeks.

@Watchingmasterchef and @Northernbeachbum I'm with you. Really hoping it is genuinely a mistake from MN deleting that post but then again we've not heard back from @Hearts22. Not quite sure what to believe. It is the Internet after all and there may well be some non genuine people on here.

Cookie1831 · 20/05/2018 17:27

Oh wow just checked the other thread feel a bit of a mug now!

Watchingmasterchef · 20/05/2018 19:16

@cookie1831 me too! In my emotional state I almost cried about the birth on the bathroom floor story now feel so pissed off ! But it doesnt really matter I guess.
I seem to have two very full bags of essentials to take to hospital .. pads and nappies mainly, plus some bottles of ready to feed milk if breastfeeding doesn’t work out , not sure how to cut down the amount of stuff ! Feel absolutely enormous . Baby was measuring 6lbs 5 at 32 weeks and also have excess amniotic fluid. GTT came back negative again which was a relief but struggling to move around and have another scan next week so wondering how much baby has grown and just how his he is .. and why?!

Watchingmasterchef · 20/05/2018 19:19

Correction! Last scan was at 34 not 32 weeks

Elpheba · 20/05/2018 19:30

If it helps lighten your load then I don't think you need to take in formula if you're aiming to breastfeed. At my hospital they only ask you to bring it if you're planning to formula feed from the beginning. If it's baby needing top ups or something then they generally provide it.

jadeward89 · 20/05/2018 19:36

I’m quite grateful that in my hospital they supply formula, or they did 6yrs ago I will be double checking on Tues when I see the mw.
This week there will apparently be a new mw at my surgery, as apprehensive as I am about it being a new one just over 3 weeks before my due date I really hope she is better than my other one. My mw hasn’t listened to my concerns about swelling fingers and trembling hands and is overall quite flippant (I saw her before one of my mc and when I told her I was bleeding and concerned and why she just told me it was normal, I miscarried three days later, confirmed by epu).
Feeling a bit upset by the whole story now too 😕

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 20/05/2018 19:49

I have a giant suitcase packed. It's ridiculous, I went backpacking for a year with a smaller bag but I can't lose anything from it just in case. Got 3 books plus colouring in book in case I have to wait for my elective or I go into labour early. Got towels because I'm fussy about the feel of towels. Got giant plastic shoes to wear in the shower. Got 6 different outfits in various sizes for the baby because I have no idea what size they will be and everything I took for ds was too big for him and wouldn't stay up. Then I have another smaller bag for dh to bring in later with snacks, water, a present for ds to give the baby & vice versa and formula.

SparklesandBubbles · 20/05/2018 20:15

I'm feeling a bit weird this evening. Hard to put my finger on it. Slightly sick / got a bit of a headache - and feeling like I just need to sleep. I also had some strong tightenings around 6pm but not had anything since. Could this be the start of things? I didn't go into natural labour/contractions with my first so I have no idea what to expect!! Any advice much appreciated xx

ClareB83 · 20/05/2018 20:32

Ooh I don't know @SparklesandBubbles maybe?! I've never gone into labour either!

OP posts:
RockinRobinTweets · 20/05/2018 21:04

Sparkles I’m driving myself mad with the am I/am I not in labour spotting. The unfortunate answer from google is that you could be but you’re also just heavily pregnant and early labour causes the same symptoms Sad

Soon though... soon!

RockinRobinTweets · 20/05/2018 21:06

& ive gone into labour before Grin in the end I knew because I had my bloody show Envy followed by my waters 6 hours later and then contractions 12 hours or so after that

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 20/05/2018 21:21

@SparklesandBubbles I've been feeling similar, had a series of tightening in the supermarket which had me really worried this afternoon. Plus so much pelvic pressure and I think my bump has dropped, at least the kicking seems to be around/just north of my belly button as opposed to in my ribs which was at the start of the week.

With ds, I had back ache which turned into back pain which came in waves so I'm at a total loss as to how to recognise non back to back labour. Got a scan and the consultant tomorrow so will hopefully get a better idea of where baby actually is. Laboured at 38+4 last time so getting scared I won't make the planned section at 39+1.

Watchingmasterchef · 21/05/2018 02:37

@dinosauratemydaffoldils I was the same, had DS at 38 weeks and now they are planning CS at 39 weeks- will we make it ?! Now that I’ve made decision to have section I feel much happier and really don’t want the unexpected to happen , especially since baby v large . My bump has also dropped - not so much as yours by the sound of it but has a slope at the top and looks less like I’ve swallowed a basketball.. don’t remember dropping last time (perhaps didn’t , hence emergency CS) does it mean anything. ? Weeks ? Days ? Google not very helpful !

SparklesandBubbles · 21/05/2018 06:53

Thanks ladies. Well if it was the start of labour it was possibly a false start! I had a nice bath and early night last night and DH slept in with DS so I had a toddler free night! I had a few more tightenings during the night but that was it. Still got a bit of backache so I'll keep an eye today. Luckily I've got a scan at lunchtime to check baby's position. My bump has definitely dropped loads though and my hips have suddenly got all clicks too - perhaps a sign that baby has moved down!

Northernbeachbum · 21/05/2018 07:05

I keep getting told when it's the real thing you just know......but what if you don't Confused

Cookie1831 · 21/05/2018 07:54

Was just thinking is hearts22 on the facebook group?x

Heregoeseverything · 21/05/2018 09:16

Really bizarre about hearts22. I keep checking in to see if she's back with some form of explanation, but would she have been banned by Mumsnet if they decided she was trolling?

I want to give the benefit of the doubt but Mumsnet does usually get these things right...The one thing that really doesn't add up is that it seems that on the other thread she said her mum arrived just as she was crowning and took a picture on her phone, and unless I'm misunderstanding, hearts22 then posted that picture on Mumsnet? That would be... odd.

SylvesterTheCat · 21/05/2018 09:31

I've just searched Hearts22 and seen a post where she says she didn't find out she was pregnant until 19+5. Did she (or he??Hmm) join this thread quite late then? If she is truthful it's weird she hasn't been back here to explain (though possibly busy with her newborn. If the baby arrived so early would they have gone straight to hospital after the birth for checks etc?)

Heregoeseverything · 21/05/2018 09:34

Fist bumps and solidarity to everyone on this thread who is actually pregnant (!) - feeling so large and tired, and still so much to organise, plus struggling through work for another 4 weeks...

Shutupanddance1 · 21/05/2018 09:37

@Heregoeseverything yes! I can’t imagine working for another 4 weeks Shock. I’m 37 weeks on Wednesday and I’m honestly knackered now. Didn’t sleep well last night, hoping for a better night tonight Blush

Heregoeseverything · 21/05/2018 09:39

@SylvestertheCat My cursory research suggests she (?) only joined Mumsnet 2 weeks ago, but was quite a contributor for those 2 weeks including plenty of mundane and realistic-sounding pregnancy-related contributions to various threads... all sounded/looked plausible to me apart from the Mum arriving to find daughter crowning on the bathroom floor only to whip out a phone to capture this Kodak moment, and the daughter then apparently (?) putting this photo on the internet...

If Mumsnet decided she was lying would they let her back to explain...?
