Elpheba · 19/05/2018 06:39

Congratulations! Followed your other thread with much excitement and so incredible that you delivered him yourself. Hope you've managed to get some rest since. Well done you!

Shutupanddance1 · 19/05/2018 06:45

@Hearts22 - congratulations on your beautiful baby! Enjoy the newborn snuggles

Hearts22 · 19/05/2018 06:51

Hi everyone, thank you for your lovely messages 🙂
Sorry if I’m repeating myself to anyone who has read the other thread. Turns out the braxton hicks I’d had all day were actually labour! Pretty much as soon as I started the thread things got real and I just went on automatic. My mum arrived to take me to the hospital and found me in the bathroom crowning, which she got a picture of! We are both doing really well. DP didn’t get to see the birth but my mum did send him the photo and he’s cancelled his plans for a royal wedding/cup final booze up with his brother and their friends and is on his way to see us both now 😊

SparklesandBubbles · 19/05/2018 06:52

Oh wow @Hearts22. So clearly those BH weren't BH's at all!! Welcome to the world baby Dylan and well done you Hearts. Hope you are both doing ok after your eventful evening!! Thanks

Flyingfruit · 19/05/2018 07:05

Wow @Hearts22 you did so well and you must have been pretty scared. I think you’re a pro at childbirth!

I had a look at the photo your mum took, amazing! I’m glad she was there even for the last bit. Enjoy your snuggles xx

@hearts22 he's so adorable and well done!!! You must have an amazing pain threshold to not even realise you were in labour!! Enjoy your day with your new arrival

HoneyBee03 · 19/05/2018 10:12

Wow @Hearts22 I can't believe it! How amazing? Congratulations! And such a gorgeous name.

I'm 34+2 and you've just given me the kick I needed to finalise my hospital bag!!

jadeward89 · 19/05/2018 17:39

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather today! My husband and I have spent the day putting up a trampoline for the kids (and started tidying up our jungle of a back garden).
My bump seems to have dropped somewhat but doubt that means anything.

SylvesterTheCat · 19/05/2018 22:17

Wow @Hearts22 truly amazing. I would love to read your other thread- can anyone post a link please?
Many congrats.

Elpheba · 19/05/2018 22:26

Just tried but it's been deleted by mumsnet??

ElizabethLemon · 20/05/2018 08:17

How strange 😕.

@jadeward89 well done for getting the trampoline up. I’ve had no energy to do much this weekend even though there’s loads to do. I keep packing and repacking my hospital bag and adding things to it. I’m going to end up taking a full sized suitcase I know it.

SparklesandBubbles · 20/05/2018 08:46

I saw the thread had been deleted too. Very odd. @Hearts22 how are you doing?

@ElizabethLemon I keep doing that too. With my first we did take a massive suitcase but hardly used anything in it so I'm trying to not take as much this time and just have spare stuff for Dh to bring if we need it.

Hows everyone doing? I'm 39+1 now so definitely playing the waiting game. Trying everything to get baby to come. Only thing I can't seem to do is have sex. Dh was up for it last night and I just didn't want it. Felt bad as we've not DTD since conceiving. I just don't feel very desirable at the moment which stops me getting in the mood! Wish I could snap out of it as I know after birth it's going to be big No for a while!

Northernbeachbum · 20/05/2018 08:49

@jadeward89 I have a bag packed but keep thinking of other things that could be handy. I'm thinking I might put an extra shopping bag in the car with other bits that may be needed just in case

@sparklesandbubbles I've had enough at 37 weeks so I don't envy you at all

ElizabethLemon · 20/05/2018 09:25

I think everything I’ve got packed is pretty essential but there just seems to be a lot of it. And I haven’t packed drinks or snacks yet!

Sparkles, I know it’s hard not to feel bad but please don’t. It’s part of being pregnant and having young children. I’m so big and uncomfortable, my tummy is tender to touch and it is literally the last thing I can imagine enjoying at the moment. Luckily the stress of the last couple of weeks seems to have put my H off too.

What have you been trying? Pineapple? Bouncing on balls?

Watchingmasterchef · 20/05/2018 09:35

Hasn’t anyone else seen what mumsnet has written on hearts22 thread about the birth? If that’s the case then wow. Slow clap 👏 it’s been entertaining

jadeward89 · 20/05/2018 11:18

I’m wondering if it’s because hearts put the same posts in here too? Otherwise it’s very odd @Hearts22 hope you are doing ok.
@ElizabethLemon I had to put it up this weekend as it was taking up space in my living room and driving me mad (though the kids nagging every 5mins didn’t help much).
I have my bag packed, I added the last few things the other day (Excluding phone charger) but thankfully I don’t live too far from the hosp and neither does my mum so if I forget anything someone can grab things for me and bring them to me, or at least that’s the theory haha. I haven’t got a huge bag but the one I am taking is pretty full but also includes a full pack of nappies and maternity pads seeing as I have no idea how long I’ll be in for.
36+3 today and counting down and hoping sooner than later.

Shutupanddance1 · 20/05/2018 11:35

I’ve packed 2 bags - small rucksack for labour - literally has 2 baby outfits in it (first size and then 0-3 size Incase), fresh nightgown and pants for me, one baby blanket and small bag of toiletries. I’ve to buy some snacks to put into it and pop my phone charger in. Can’t see me needing anything other than that immediately so that will go into our car this week.

Then I have a roll suitcase for stay, I didn’t use a pile of stuff I took the last time so its very minimal.

We’ve also already wrapped and popped our daughters gift from baby in the boot of the car so we don’t forget it - we got her a baby doll Smile
