If you type @ a load of suggested usernames appear just above the keyboard, usually most recent poster first.

If you want a user whose name isn't showing yet, you keep typing the rest of their name until it appears.

Then just click on the name. It'll bold it for you.

@Mummyloves09 so glad Amayah is doing well with the weight gain and full feeds - well done her. How are you coping going into NICU every day? Must be quite tough on you but she sounds like she's doing well which is great news.

@ClareB83 glad you managed to get some stuff sorted at home and that's amazing news you can take the babies home - congratulations!! x

@ElizabethLemon I'm the same - have had a bad cold for 3 weeks now and it goes up and down. My throat has been so sore at times and I'm fed up of the copious amounts of green snot!! I'm now trying fresh ginger / lemon / honey and thyme infusions to try and knock it on the head!! Hope you feel better soon and it's just a reaction to the jab rather than a cold like I've got.

Welcome @Hearts22. You are due on my granny's birthday!

Shutupanddance1 · 03/05/2018 18:24

@Hearts22 welcome as well to the group Smile

@honeybee03 - I hope you few better, some days my hormones are all over the place.

So no gestational diabetes for me - yay!! Delighted with myself - now I can have some cake Cake.

I’m not sure if I’ve had any braxton hicks Confused. With DD1 I wasn’t in labor when I went for my Csec, I’ll hope I’ll cope this time Shock

SparklesandBubbles · 03/05/2018 19:01

@jadeward89 I have that all the time with baby - it's such an odd feeling!!

@HoneyBee03 sorry to hear you're feeling a bit rubbish. Moving house must be pretty stressful at this time. I think it's quite a worrying time in general let alone adding on the stress of a house move.

@Cookie1831 I always just put the @ sign and start typing name. I'm on the mobile app most the time.

My whole family seem to be sick at the moment. My son has had a temperature of 38 on and off for 30hours now but doesn't seem too bad with it. He goes up and down but I don't know what the cause is. He looks like he's got swollen glands on his neck. I just hope it isn't serious or something that will affect baby.

Hearts22 · 03/05/2018 20:16

Aww that’s lovely that we’re due date twins @Cookie1831 Do you know what you’re having?
Thank you for the welcomes everyone, I shall try to aim for your granny’s birthday @SparklesandBubbles 😁

Cookie1831 · 04/05/2018 12:02

@hearts22 nope but am thinking more boy as I look and feel the same as did with previous 2 pregnancies and both boys
Yay it worked thanks girls!!!

jadeward89 · 04/05/2018 16:53

@ClareB83 hope you had a good first night at home with the boys and have had a good day with them.
@Cookie1831 have you had people look at your bump and give their suggestions as to what you are having? All day yesterday that’s what I had whilst shopping, though actually they all said girl (which I think too most of the time)

Cookie1831 · 04/05/2018 17:03

@jadeward89 yep on a daily basis! I am so far out in front I think I have had about 50 people say boy and 2 day girl, I work with the public so lots of different people comment all the time in a nice way just making conversation, between that and how huge I am Blushits all the Cake

Northernbeachbum · 04/05/2018 17:53

@jadeward89 and @cookie1831 I'm glad other people are experiencing the guessing from bump shape. We've only told close friends and family so listening to people justify their guess is hilarious when you actually know

Hearts22 · 04/05/2018 18:01

@Cookie1831 I’m thinking I might be having a boy as well. That’s what most people in the streets are telling me, although they were saying girl until about 28 weeks.

Shutupanddance1 · 04/05/2018 19:21

Oh god, my MIL (as amazing as she is) kept telling us ‘oh it’s definitely a boy, I can feel it’ Hmm. It’s a girl. Even said ‘sure they make mistakes all the time’ - I understand this does happen, I was a bit shocked by her reaction tho.

She’s even said to my husband that we will have to go again for a boy. I don’t think so Angry..

Northernbeachbum · 04/05/2018 20:19

@shutupanddance1 what will be even worse if she turns out to be right Grin

ElizabethLemon · 04/05/2018 20:52

@Shutupanddance1 a have a colleague who did this! She asked me early on what we were having and I told her a boy. Then for weeks after she kept saying to me “it’s a girl”...”no a boy!”....”it’s a girl” 😳. She stopped eventually and seemed to come to terms with the fact that it is a boy, she is lovey but bonkers!

I have had a lot of “oooh you’ll be trying for a girl next time!” What next time??!

jadeward89 · 04/05/2018 21:00

In a way I’m hoping it’s a girl to even our numbers but at the same time I won’t be disappointed if it’s a boy. My step dad has good form for predicting babies and has nearly always gotten them right (has so far with our three and my brothers and sister) he’s predicting a girl so it’s on him now haha

Shutupanddance1 · 05/05/2018 07:13

@Northernbeachbum - I’m sure I’d never hear the end of it.

@ElizabethLemon - Exactly - what next time? This is it for our little family and I think it’s disappointing her as both me and DH come from big families (both of us have over 5 siblings each). It’s just not for us - plus I’ve not enjoyed this pregnancy and have no interest in doing it again.

ClareB83 · 05/05/2018 09:22

People keep warning me about my next pregnancy and right now I think never ever again, especially knowing I'm at increased risk of getting PE again and all the other joys of this pregnancy (bleeding, swelling, tinnitus etc).

DH is more open minded, but I just can't imagine doing this to my body again. And we have two now = job done.

OP posts:
ElizabethLemon · 05/05/2018 09:58

My husband is seriously considering getting the snip!

I don’t think I felt the “never again!” thing with my 1st pregnancy (even though I ended up not doingit again for 7 years) but this time round has definitely taken its toll on me. Also 2 children feels like a lot of responsibility!

How are the boys getting on at home Clare?

ElizabethLemon · 05/05/2018 10:12

Keep meaning to ask, who do I contact to join the FB group?

I would like to share a photo and the baby’s name when he’s here but don’t want to do that on MN.

ClareB83 · 05/05/2018 10:44

Email Nena [email protected] about the FB group.

Boys are sleeping and eating well during the day, but not settling well at night esp Joe. Not sure if there's anything we can do to help them or if this is just newborns and we have to just keep going.

My Mums up today though so we might get a nap in.

ElizabethLemon · 05/05/2018 12:04

Thanks Clare, just joined and saw some gorgeous pictures of your boys!

I’m no expert but that sounds pretty normal, hope you manage to get some rest today.

Northernbeachbum · 05/05/2018 13:30

I didn't realise there was a FB group! @clareb83 I believe it takes a bit of time for them to work out day and night unfortunately. Have a lovely day with your mum

Hearts22 · 05/05/2018 17:49

Hope you’re having a good day Claire xx

I’ve just noticed I’m now trustworthy enough to be able to post pictures so just wondering what your thoughts are on what I’m having going by the bump. Pointing left is at 28 weeks when strangers told me it was a girl, pointing right was from Tuesday when I hit 32 weeks and I’m now being told it’s s boy 😂 What do you guys think?

ClareB83 · 05/05/2018 17:55

Yes I think the first thread led to a FB group as well. It's easier to share photos on there as it's a private group.

Thanks @ElizabethLemon!

Cookie1831 · 05/05/2018 19:24

Have finally just emailed to join the Facebook group hopefully see you all soon! I can see why people are saying boy from the second as more out in front but could just be an old wives tail @hearts22 x

SparklesandBubbles · 05/05/2018 19:47

@Hearts22 bit of a guess but I'm going to go girl!!

@ClareB83 I've just requested to join the FB group too - I agree it's easier to share photos etc. I'm now on it - Yey!

I'm 37 weeks today so on countdown. Have brought clary sage oil and lavender oil and raspberry leaf tea so I'm going to start trying all those to get this baby going.
