Hope all is ok jade.

Prince William and Kate have had a baby boy. Anyone worried about their name choices? I know it doesn’t really matter but I would be a bit grumpy if they chose the same name we had. Very very unlikely though I have to say!

jadeward89 · 23/04/2018 13:40

Thank you all, this is the third time I’ll have been seen. Think my placenta is anterior so I’m not sure if it’s because of that I’m not feeling proper movement.
I doubt that they have chosen to use our choice of name for a boy (well maybe excluding the middle name but that’s neither here nor there) don’t think they’d have used our girls choice either had it been a girl. My family really don’t like either name that we have chosen (though we have a few names in mind) 😊

SparklesandBubbles · 23/04/2018 13:49

@jadeward89 hope everything's ok this afternoon.

ElizabethLemon · 23/04/2018 14:32

@jadeward89 we had a few raised eyebrows when naming our 1st so we’re not telling anyone until he’s born this time as I woukd be annoyed if someone said something negative!

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 23/04/2018 15:24

@jadeward89 Hope everything is okay.

Just signed my consent forms for my elective, felt like I was signing my death warrant. On the positive side, at least I have an end date.

Shutupanddance1 · 23/04/2018 15:25

@ElizabethLemon I’m the same - not telling anyone our baby name, mainly as I’ve no interest in people’s opinions on it. I’m Irish and we gave our DD1 a traditional Irish name and think we will go the same this time round.

jadeward89 · 23/04/2018 20:55

Hi everyone! Just to let you know baby is ok 😊 Sod’s law that as soon as I went on the monitor it was dancing, Was lovely to hear the heartbeat again though. I’m booked in for my 32 week ap with the mw tomorrow so I’ll see her and go from there.
I’ve told my mum and one of my nans two of the names we like for a girl and both of them turned their noses up (I was actually told by one of them that one name sounds like a dogs name, typically that’s the name we like the most) however I haven’t actually said which name we will use for definite, we will see what he or she looks like when they are here

ElizabethLemon · 23/04/2018 21:22

Glad to hear all is well @jadeward89!

Midwife told me today that the baby is head down but back to back so she advised me to sit up straight on the edge of my chair/sofa and to get a birthing ball to sit on. It’s not the comfiest way to sit down in all honesty but the midwife was threatening a long and painful labour if he stays like this!

Northernbeachbum · 23/04/2018 21:45

Mines gone a bit quiet this evening, still moving but a lot slower and more chilled. Not sure whether to worry or not!!

Great news jade

We are also keeping names quiet so people don't give us unwanted opinions, although we still don't actually have one. We have one negotiation one but I have 2 I prefer to that and need to get over it

ClareB83 · 23/04/2018 23:51

Went to my routine midwife appointment this morning and ended up being taken by ambulance to the delivery ward with suspected pre eclampsia.

Been in all day and looks like I'll be here til Wednesday at least as they are struggling to get my blood pressure down.

Although it looks like it's not quite pre eclampsia yet as my other organs are behaving. The lab keeps losing my urine samples though. Probably pregnancy hypertension atm.

The drugs they've given me have given me a horrific headache and made me throw up everything I've tried to eat. So I'm now on more drugs for all the side effects.

They've also given me steroids just in case the babies need to come out a bit early.

Sent DH Home to sleep about half an hour ago.

Shutupanddance1 · 24/04/2018 04:39

@ClareB83 - hope you and babies are ok! I had pre eclampsia with my first, I was totally fine after baby got here. I was put on bed rest for 2 weeks and she appeared early.

ClareB83 · 24/04/2018 06:44

Thanks @Shutupanddance1, they think they've found a combo of drugs to control the BP which is good.

But they think my liver might be joining in now, so it's looking more likely the boys will come out a little early. At least they are a good weight.

Northernbeachbum · 24/04/2018 07:54

@clareb83 hope they manage to get the drugs balance right, either way you're in the best place

ClareB83 · 24/04/2018 08:14

I'm getting the vibe I might have my babies in April!!

I had plans for mat leave! No haircuts, pedicure or dentist for me I suppose. I guess that last bit of weeding isn't getting done either. Oh well the stuff for the actual babies is sorted.

Wondering if/when I should start my pre-c-section plan of nipple cream and lactulose?!

OP posts:
Flyingfruit · 24/04/2018 08:18

Hope they get everything settled @ClareB83. Thinking of you and the boys.

RockinRobinTweets · 24/04/2018 08:57

Oh wow Clare - hope you're feeling better today and they get your drug cocktail right. You'll have done so well getting twins to this stage and a pedicure can be a post delivery escape/treat

ElizabethLemon · 24/04/2018 09:33

Oh wow Clare, hope all is ok and you managed some rest last night.

Did you feel unwell at all or was the 1st sign the BP?

jadeward89 · 24/04/2018 09:43

@ClareB83 hope you and the babies are ok xx

ClareB83 · 24/04/2018 10:56

I felt tired but fine @ElizabethLemon, nothing that would have made me phone the ward. Although my midwives were pretty irate that twin clinic the Wednesday before hadn't made more of a fuss about my urine result.

Turns out that's just the first sample of mine they lost though!

OP posts:
Northernbeachbum · 24/04/2018 12:30

Have they given you any updates @clareb83?

ClareB83 · 24/04/2018 13:39

Yes! I might have these babies today!!

There's a lot of emcs today though - all twins. So waiting to see.

@Clareb83 Thinking of you and the twins.

HoneyBee03 · 24/04/2018 15:43

Just popped back on here after a while to catch up, and wow @ClareB83! Thinking of you and your boys! I hope you're feeling as well as you can be x
