@Milknosugar1 it's funny - I got rotated to a new department at the start of Feb so either no one has really noticed or I don't know anyone at work well enough for them to comment! I haven't seen much of friends and family lately but I did bump into a friend last week who asked if I'd been back on slimming world!! OH only has eyes for the increased boob size Hmm

Thank you ladies for your booking appt reassurance- it was totally fine, really nice friendly midwife and will have shared care with them and obstetrics. Can't believe the volume of stuff you get away with you! All the books and little bottles of supplements etc. Regretting buying the pregnacare now! Also got a little booklet about our baby box which I found stupidly exciting Blush

@Anban I have been sooo tempted to do that too.... just to check, you didn't hear anything did you?

@Milknosugar1 oh the weird dreams 😂 I have them also. It's horrible! I had them when I was pregnant with my son and again now. They are so so vivid! I think they went after the first trimester but came back towards the end so maybe it's connected to not sleeping so well.

twobambinos · 21/03/2018 17:06

I have been Mia. The last week has been absolutely horrible. Today hasn't been too bad thankfully. I actually managed to catch up on some household chores. The place is actually chaotic. Start of the 2nd trimester tomorrow so hopefully this is the start of the glo.

@caoireach people you don't know well probably wouldn't notice weight loss or gain. 17lbs is alot though hope you are feeling a bit better now.

I think I'm down about 8 or 10 pounds my bmi is just 25 now so its no great loss. I was lighter on my last two pregnancies starring out and didn't put on too much so hoping I won't pile on too much this time. My activity levels have been so bad the past 6 weeks so hoping to get back to some level of fitness soon.

@milk you must be exhausted after that dream.

Hope everyone else is well can't see the other posts on my phone. Welcome to all the newbies

Hello melamine. I'm another one not having very many symptoms. Exactly as you describe actually - a little bit of nausea if I've not eaten for a while. Although I'm near enough 12 weeks now and that's worn off too really. I have had to have the odd afternoon nap (which have been very satisfying!), but I've not even been that tired overall. Feel slightly guilty to be posting this... but have been thanking my lucky stars as I've had quite an intense period at work and really needed to be on half decent form.

So sorry so many of your are suffering :(

I have been having the crazy dreams though! Some of them deeply inappropriate so I've chosen to spare DH a few details... milknosugar1 I really enjoyed your dream description!

ATP1000 · 21/03/2018 19:56

@milknosugar I’ve had nightmares since about 8dpo! They have all involved spiders in my bed! I wake up screaming and have twice ran out of my bedroom in the middle of the night! I am very scared of spiders so this is not fun 😣

I’ve been back to work this week after the operation and am absolutely shattered, back to 11 hour working days is quite a shock!

I’m 9 weeks today, got my private scan tomorrow which I booked a few weeks ago, was not expecting to have had so many scans on the nhs at this stage. I’m looking forward to tomorrow though as I’ll have a bit more time to look at the baby rather than my ovaries and fibroid!!

Nausea is ongoing, I’ve decided to keep eating, it’s the only thing that works. @twobambinos I need to try to improve my fitness too, I’m starting prenatal Pilates but not until 12 weeks, they won’t let me do it before then, probably cos of operation.

It’s nice to read all your updates ladies 👋

@atp1000 I think they don't like people starting pilates during the first trimester for some reason. I go to a regular class but as I've been there for years they didn't mind me staying on but I haven't been there anyway Grin enjoy your scan that will be lovely. We had one at 9 weeks too. It was nice to get a little pic.

Don't feel bad about the lack of symptoms everyone is so different

Had my early scan tonight! Was absolutely speechless seeing the wee heartbreak flickering away 💓 i am 8 weeks 1 today but measuring 8+5 so at least it's over and not under I guess! Probably balance out though for my nhs one at 13 weeks?
'Booking app' next Wednesday too, the scan is starting to make it sink in a little more now!

Congrats Unicornchaser and enjoy your scan ATP!

I've felt rougher this time around, don't know if it's because having my 2yr old around means no naps (😒) which then makes everything feel worse? The insomnia has kicked in too- OK getting to sleep, but as soon as I get up for a wee it's game over. SO TIRED.

11+2 today and still almost 2 weeks to wait til my scan... Waiting is the worst! Found the heartbeat quickly with my doppler yesterday though which was lovely.

Milknosugar NCT classes were a great way to meet local (naice) people and it was lovely to have friends with babies all at about the same stage! Planning yoga or aqua this time if I ever have enough energy to leave the house again 😴

Latenightreader · 22/03/2018 08:46

Huge relief to see others without lots of symptoms here! My main problem is exhaustion - I'm shattered all the time and just want to sleep. Sore boobs too, but nausea only faintly if I'm thirsty (definitely drinking more than usual).

I have the second part of my booking in appt tomorrow and will get my scan appointment then. I had IVF and am on various medications which the clinic won't wean me off until after my scan. They make me uneasy because I worry they are masking a problem, but fingers crossed all will be well...

MamaL86 · 22/03/2018 09:06

Anyone else's boobs suddenly no longer sore? I'm 9 weeks today and trying (not totally successfully) not to freak out about it!

twobambinos · 22/03/2018 09:07

@milknosugar1 it's great having people to talk to on here because we can be more honest than in real life too, and also nice having people to talk to because no one in real life knows yet.

@unicornchaser congrats on your scan it makes it all more real doesn't it.
I think alot of us have probably thought there's actually no baby in there despite some pretty obvious symptoms so it's always nice to have it confirmed.

@monkerina the two weeks will fly by. Great about the doppler I didn't know they could pick up the heartbeat so early that must be a lovely comfort. I think I would be addicted and using it every night.

@latenightreader it sounds to me like you have plenty of the symptoms! It will be nice to get the appointment for the scan then the countdown will begin.

I've my booking in appointment and scan at the same time next week. I'll be 14 weeks it's a bit different over here in Ireland. I would never have lasted this long without an early scan. Patience is in short supply.

twobambinos · 22/03/2018 09:08

@mamal86 mine weren't that sore at all definitely for me it's a symptom that comes and goes. X

MamaL86 · 22/03/2018 09:13

Thanks @twobambinos. This time mine have been sore pretty much from week 4 but I don't remember it in my last pregnancy. They said, it was 9 years ago so my memory is probably a bit hazy!

Katievb · 22/03/2018 10:35

12 weeks today and have my first scan tomorrow... haven’t had any earlier scans so feeling very nervous!!! Wish time would go quicker!

ladydolly · 22/03/2018 10:56

I don't feel better or worse than last time, but the nausea has started later and I think it will finish later. My boobs didn't hurt at all last time and this time they're very sensitive, it feels like when i was breastfeeding and overdue a feed.

I start ante natal pilates next week, really looking forward to hanging out with some mums. We didn't do NCT last time, I did daisy birthing but we didn't keep in touch.

Hope everyone feeling rough feels better soon!!

RhiBee29 · 22/03/2018 18:08

First part of booking appt today and second part Tuesday. Midwife left me the notes and asked me to fill in as much as I can before she comes back, mainly family medical history etc. Midwife was lovely but a bit dismissive about my anxiety as I mc last summer. I have to decide if I want a Home birth or chose my hospital on Tuesday although I can change my mind later if I want to.

Symptoms are a bit hit and miss, sore boobs when bra is off and nausea comes and goes.

Debating a private scan on good Friday Confused

elizastarbeth · 22/03/2018 18:50

I've not posted in ages - I've been trying to avoid the forums because, like other people have mention, it makes me worry about stuff that I'd never considered before!

I'm 10 days today, and my symptoms have tailed off a little in the last week or so. I was told not to worry, and that my hormones were settling down - so I'm trying to take that advice, with varying success.

I'm glad that everyone's getting on well.

I've had my booking in appointment and am waiting to get my letter with the dates for my first scan - I rang the women's health unit yesterday and she said it 'was being processed', so hopefully I'll get it soon! Am also debating a private scan as we're desperate to tell people (I had to tell someone at work today as I thought that I would get outed otherwise, he kept on asking questions). But I'm sure 2 or 3 weeks will fly by!

daisychain07 · 23/03/2018 06:59

12 week scan today, feeling nervous!

wonderstar1216 · 23/03/2018 07:28

Ive got mine too today Daisy! Feeling nervous, hope all goes ok

@milknosugar I had to stop wearing my skinny jeans 3 weeks ago, and now pretty much live in my elasticated lazy trousers when not in public. My 'fat' work trousers are now super snug! At this stage, it's probably just bloating - I'm hoping it'll go away soon. The boob growth seems to have abated a little, but will probably need to start looking for new bras soon...

ATP1000 · 23/03/2018 09:22

I’m in my jeans from a few years ago, before I got fitter! They’re tight already around the waist, I’ve got a hairband on the button today as it’s otherwise too tight!
Boobs have definitely grown and I’m finding my skin is seriously sensitive.
Last night I noticed a whole patch of stretch marks starting on my side, I’ve only put on 2lbs and I’ve been bigger than this before without any stretching at all. I wanted to ask if any of you know if it’s hormones causing my skin to mark this time? I’m taking a high dose of progesterone to support the baby and I think it might be that.
It seems that any part of my skin which gets rubbed or if I scratch it then the stretch mark show up. I’m only 9w2d!
