@Milknosugar1 I think I'm going to book the private scan, I'm doing my head in! No date for 12wk as yet, I'm 8+5 now.

Clothes are definitely snug but midwife weighed me yesterday (in front of DH Shock) and I haven't put on any weight so all bloating I think!

twobambinos · 23/03/2018 15:51

Hope all the scans went well.

Oh @rhibee29 I hate getting weighed.
I have lost a bit of weight but still dreading the first weigh in. Clothes are also a bit snug it bloating and redistribution of weight rather than weight gain I think.
I'll be digging out the maternity jeans soon.

daisychain07 · 23/03/2018 16:23

Scan went well but baby was being awkward and lying with its back to us, I had to do star jumps and go on a walk to try and get it to move and still nothing so ended up with an internal. Measuring exactly to the date I thought which has made me feel so much better as my private scan worried me (they put me back by 10 days). Due date still 2nd October.
It was a long process (3 hours) as I am classed as high risk due to thyroid and previous labour complications. So any first timers....prepare your partners to be patient!! X

twobambinos · 23/03/2018 17:12

Fantastic news daisychain lovely to hear the good news.

Latenightreader · 23/03/2018 17:33

I had part two of my booking in today and started bleeding and cramping just before. The wonderful midwife nipped over to the early pregnancy unit and managed to get the only scan appointment available. There is still a heartbeat and I saw tiny arms waving at me! The sonographer referred to me as 'Mum'. I cried... Full dating scan on the 13th of April.

wonderstar1216 · 23/03/2018 19:15

All went well today but it looks like he/she won't be an October born! They brought date forward nearly a week!

Peanut91 · 23/03/2018 19:32

I am now 11+1 and still feeling so pants 😔 I am feeling so nauseous all the time and I am exhausted beyond belief.

Luckily I am still on a phased return to work after my accident so I can rest in the afternoons but today I had an hour long nap and I am already in bed at 7.30pm!
I have my 12 week scan next thursday and I cant wait.

I already have a bump and I have started wearing maternity clothes already. They are so comfy and make a nice change from all my tight ordinary clothes.

Had the all clear from my surgeon this week after my op which I was really pleased about

Katievb · 23/03/2018 19:42

Scan went well, baby was jumping around everywhere! I drunk to much water so bladder was too big to see anything 😂 they made me have a little wee and hold the rest so they could get some pics. Was such a lovely experience... very emotional xx

Belles86 · 24/03/2018 07:53

Aw so nice that ppl are having good scans. Mine’s on Monday afternoon. Am hoping it will feel more real after that!
Is anyone suffering with back pain? I have a weird sharp nervy pain at base of back/right butt cheek 😬

RhiBee29 · 24/03/2018 08:05

Booked a private scan for Friday morning, I'm so nervous!

Belles86 · 24/03/2018 09:35

@RhiBee29 keep busy til then and positive vibes! Sure it will be great 👍

Mayah · 24/03/2018 10:53

@Katievb aww congratulations on your scan. @Rihbee29 so excited for you!!

I'm so gutted. Work can't give me days off for my appointments because too many people have already booked holidays. They don't know I'm pregnant yet. Every time I go to say it, it just won't come out. Hoping if I make another appointment it won't be a lifetime away Blush I'm considering a private scan for sure now, because I need something to tell me it's real (aside from the morning sickness, all day nausea and exhaustion) Grin

Is anyone from Manchester and used private scan clinics?

RhiBee29 · 24/03/2018 11:23

I think DS has slap cheek, he's been unwell for a few days and now has bright red cheeks. I've rung out of hours gp now waiting on a call back. So scary!

running3 · 24/03/2018 12:10

@Mayah you are legally entitled to take time off work to attend appointments- may be worth you telling them you're pregnant so you don't have to miss any/keep rearranging. Good luck!

twobambinos · 24/03/2018 15:48

@latenightreader sorry to hear about your bleed. Hope it has stopped now and you are feeling better.

Glad the rest of the scans went well.

@wonderstar1216 that was a nice surprise. One less week to countdown. I'm September too but joined the Oct thread based on my last two going overdue Grin

I can't wait for my scan this week equal parts nerves and excitement.

@rhibee29 hope your ds is on the mend now.

@mayah I think if you tell work they will have to accommodate the appointments although I know some people don't like to tell anyone too early. I would be a bit like that myself.

caoraich · 24/03/2018 18:10

Oh man
I have failed in my first stab at motherhood today - was feeling a little better and decided to check out the Toys R Us closing down sale. We know it's super early but thought it might be worth trying to get a pram etc. if the sales are that good.
I haven't been in one of those shops since I was a small child myself.
Of course I got totally overwhelmed by all these different kinds of pram, car seats, "travel systems" and whatnot, freaked out and ended up spending ninety quid on Star Wars lego instead. Now having a minor "I'm going to be a terrible parent" meltdown Shock

@running3 @twobambinos I know I'm entitled and if I say I'm pregnant they'd have to give me the time off, but I work at a private nursery, they're already understaffed and 4 people have already requested those days off and they can't possibly function without staff. I know none of it is my problem, I need to look after #1 but how do I do that to them Grin

@RhiBee29 aww no way. I hope your DS is ok and gets better soon.

RhiBee29 · 24/03/2018 18:33

So I have to have a blood test Monday to check if I'm immune to slap cheek (parvovirus) as small risk of mc if I'm not. DS is still out of sorts with a high temperature 🤒

Thank you @Milknosugar1
Good luck for your blood test @RhiBee29 and hope your DS is on the mend soon x

Ceebs85 · 24/03/2018 18:43

Ahh thought I'd lost the thread!

8 weeks now and the nausea has gone but in it's place I want ALL THE CARBS!

RhiBee29 · 24/03/2018 18:45

@Milknosugar1 I'm ok, another thing to add to my anxiety list Shock

choccybuttonshelpeverything · 24/03/2018 18:47

Hi hope you are all well?
Can I have the link to fb page please?
Ta

monkerina · 24/03/2018 19:04
