As I read through this thread I’m halfway through a bag of mini eggs that weren’t even open 10 minutes ago... I think the baby’s core is going to be largely made up of strawberry milk, Pringles and chocolate.

justtowarm · 14/04/2018 10:20

Haha I keep letting my toddler have a bit of his Easter eggs and then I finish the rest of the egg..... I keep telling myself it's for him as he is to little to have all that chocolate 🙈

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 14/04/2018 10:39

Having a mild panic. Just found out my moisturiser has vitamin A in it in the form of retinyl parmiate. Arghhh I had no idea. I'm thinking it's topical so not too bad? Any ideas?

lovesrunning · 14/04/2018 12:09

Try not to worry! I just did some quick googling (I try really hard not to do this when I’m worrying about something but have no problems doing it on someone’s behalf Grin) - unless you eat a tube of it a day you should be ok. It looks like you’d need to consume ‘excessive’ levels. I’m sure everything will be ok :) ...but maybe find a new one now, mainly because you’ll think about it every time you use it!

lovesrunning · 14/04/2018 12:09

@justtowarm that’s excellent parenting!!

@lovesrunning thank you! My mind is at ease now.

@Milknosugar1 who knows what I might do in this ravenous state. I've had 3 pieces of toast and a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

twobambinos · 14/04/2018 20:48

Ooooh lots of activity on here.

@rhibee29 rookie error always get rid of the evidence.

Glad to hear all the recent scans went well. We will be on the countdown to the 20 week scans soon.

I can't see who said about the car seat bargain but it sounded like a good bargain anyway.
Have bought nothing yet but dc3 so not as much to buy this time. Will make a list one of these days and start buying when we find out boy or girl. No neutrals for me this tine. Grin

Does anyone have any names picked yet?

Went out for dinner last night and I looked properly pregnant when we got home. It was gone again by this morning and haven't been able to eat much today at all as feeling sick again. I think my best bet for eating is lunch time and light for the rest of the day. How is everyone else feeling?

Unicornchaser · 15/04/2018 16:35

Hope all have had a good weekend!

Do we have any scans this week? Only a week (well a week and a day or 2) till mine and @RhiBee29 Grin are we the last 2 to get our 12 weekers (13 weeks). Or is anyone else still waiting it out with us?

RhiBee29 · 15/04/2018 17:45

@Unicornchaser mines a week Wednesday, think I'm last. Why is time going so slowly? All my "symptoms" have gone bar sore nipples, trying to stay positive

Just had a flap...made carrot cake with soft cheese frosting, used Aldi's version of Philadelphia, that's ok to eat isn't it?!

MamaL86 · 15/04/2018 18:54

@unicornchaser I feel you with the long wait! Mine is tomorrow when I think I'll be 12+4. Feeling very nervous about it as most of my symptoms vanished at week 9. Really hoping for good news so we can tell Dc1 who is growing increasingly suspicious!

Unicornchaser · 15/04/2018 21:24

I've had no symptoms for weeks either. And then my only symptoms was a bit of nausea for a couple weeks. Think if I was being sick or something I would believe it more!
Got a load of stress going on with work too at the moment, never was one who handled stress well as it was so I'm a bit of a wreck at the moment!

I'm the Tuesday Rhibee, will be 13 weeks but I agree time has virtually stood still! Think it's all the anticipation and trying to hide it from everyone still! Dh's gran isn't the most discreet on a weekly basis talking about it around 8 years old DSS.... trying to wait to 16 weeks to tell him if it's a brother or sister but will be a miracle if we get that far without him overhearing something! Old people are just not tactful 😂

EffRam · 15/04/2018 22:16

Mine is tomorrow too, I think I will be 12+4/5. My husband now has a hospital appt of his own at 9am at a different hospital so really hoping he can make it across to me for 12!! Good luck @mamal86! Will be thinking of you.

justtowarm · 15/04/2018 22:57

Good luck with the scans tomorrow, let us know how you get on :)

MamaL86 · 16/04/2018 07:34

@unicornchaser that's annoying about people not respecting your wishes. Part of me is tempted to do the same and not tell DS until 16 weeks but not sure if we'll manage to wait that long without him rumbling us!

@EffRam best of luck for today! Really hope your Dh manages to make the ultrasound. Feeling rather nervous this morning!

Thanks @justtowarm - will keep you updatedSmile

RhiBee29 · 16/04/2018 13:33

Anyone else getting sharp pains just above pubic bone? I think it's probably stretching or uterus moving into abdomen now but it's quite uncomfortable!

EffRam · 16/04/2018 13:55

All done, baby looked perfect, stretching and jumping around and brought me forward to 13 weeks today! Hope everyone else's going well X

Katievb · 16/04/2018 14:14

@rhibee29 was just coming in here to ask the same question! Had the same thing today! Hopefully it’s normal

ATP1000 · 16/04/2018 14:24

I’ve got the stretching pains too, at my groin into my thigh and up into my uterus area. Midwife and doctor said it’s completly normal :)

I’m still feeling sick at 13 weeks :( really rough today. Seems whenever I have a busy day the day before I feel nauseous the next day 😣

ATP1000 · 16/04/2018 14:25

Congrats on your scan @effram, that’s great news!

OP posts:
EffRam · 16/04/2018 14:32

Thanks @atp1000 ! I am also getting the stretching pains. I find them comforting somehow, a sign something's happening! sorry you're still feeling sick :( hopefully will pass soon. I have noticed I get completely wiped out now from busy days that I just used to take in my stride before... Have to make myself get early nights!

MamaL86 · 16/04/2018 15:19

Huge congratulations @EffRam. So glad you got good newsSmile. All was perfect here too and got moved to 13+3, almost a week ahead of what I'd thought!

Penny31 · 16/04/2018 15:26

Pleased to hear more good scan news! So exciting.

I’ve made my 16 week midwife appointment. Time seems to be going a bit quicker now....Smile

Latenightreader · 16/04/2018 15:36

I had my scan on Friday and all looks good (phew). When I asked about the test results the midwife (who I didn't like as much as the last one) said that I'd get a phone call if something was wrong and not hear if all was well. She was obsessing over the date I had my eggs extracted (I had IVF) despite telling her that this was a frozen transfer at five days and telling her the date of the transfer. In the end I phoned the clinic and got the date (July last year...).

They have revised my due date to a day later (22nd) but am a little bemused as I thought that with IVF dates were fairly clear cut. Anyone know anything about this?

EffRam · 16/04/2018 16:17

@mamal86 woohoo glad yours was good too! My dates are now 6 or 7 days ahead of what I actually think but I'm not complaining! Edd 22nd October.

@latenightreader I'm afraid I don't know much about IVF dating but if scan good I'd go by that and trust your gut and ask the midwife you prefer next time you see them...!
