@milknosugar1 thank you for your kind words. I'll be doing the school run today so I'll have to get out!

I bought a pair of maternity jeans they aren't the best fit maybe I'll grow into them.

Goodluck with the scans this week. Reminds me must buy a frame for the pic.

Filzma · 09/04/2018 09:40

Hi all, anyone's hands and arms itching like mine? Feel like I'm going to rip my skin off at this rate.🤪

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 09/04/2018 09:50

Out of curiosity has anyone in previous pregnancies had a scan in between their dating and anatomy scans? I feel like time is going to drag between those ones but not sure how pointless it will be. Maybe have a gender one in between?

Also I've been trying to read backwards and I'm pretty useless as I can't seem to find out how to join the fb group like the awkward turtle I am 😁 Send help!

ATP1000 · 09/04/2018 11:10

Good luck for your scan today @biscay x

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I’m booked in for a 16 week private gender scan costs £39 I don’t think I could wait until 20 weeks 🙂

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 09/04/2018 11:42

Thank you @ATP1000. Just had the scan and all great! Also had NT scan which was fine too. Such a relief Smile

Not long now to go for those with scans this week. You will feel much better soon x

Hi everyone, I had my scan this morning and pleased to say all ok :-) due date now 13th October. Hoping to be a lot more active on here now!

RhiBee29 · 09/04/2018 13:03

So glad all was ok @BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I'm 11+2 and getting "Period" cramps too. Think I had them with DS too so not too worried.

Considering another scan as my dating scan is so far away and I can't stop googling bloody Parvovirus Confused

Unicornchaser · 09/04/2018 13:28

How long until your results now @RhiBee29? Must be so nerve wracking for you!

Glad you have had some similar cramps before and everything has been ok. Been fighting the urge to book another scan but trying hard to wait to my scan in 2 weeks! Time just goes so slowly when it's you that's actually living the pregnancy I think Hmm

doesthisnamelookgoodonme · 09/04/2018 14:22

Hi ladies!

Haven't been on in a while as we have a Facebook group which is fab! If anyone would like to join please send me a friend request and I'll add you. The group is a secret group so a link to the group would t work!

Hope to see you there :)

Penguina · 09/04/2018 14:52

Yes @eyebaggage I was so excited for dds scan - a negative thought didn’t even enter my head. I think the more you have the worse it is! Especially as my dd suffered catastrophic brain damage when she was born and is now severely disabled. I now just expect the worst to happen all the time. Thankfully ds is fine though so fingers crossed for a repeat of that one and not the first!

Penguina · 09/04/2018 14:53

How do we join the fb group?

RhiBee29 · 09/04/2018 14:57

@Unicornchaser I'm having another blood test on 25th at same time as booking bloods so probably won't have results until beginning of May!!! I'm just praying all is ok on the dating scan.

doesthisnamelookgoodonme · 09/04/2018 14:58

@Penguina if you click on the link below you can add me, drop me a message saying who you are and I'll add you to the group x

I have just had the most stressful 24 hours!! I start bleeding yesterday evening after work (clots and all). I'm 13 and half weeks everything was fine at the scan and I did bleed heavily with my son but earlier and before 12 weeks. So I called the GP this morning thinking it was probably ok but just wanted to check (part of me assuming the worst).

GP said she would arrange a scan, then called back a couple of minutes later saying they had said because 12 weeks scan was good for her just to listen to heartbeat with the Doppler. So I went and the GP couldn't find a heart beat. I was internally freaking out at this point and the hospital then agreed to a scan. So I went there (about 40mjns away). They tried the Doppler and found the heartbeat almost instantly (so they didn't scan). I just have to rest now until the bleeding stops.

I am so blinking relieved it was so scary looking at the ceiling while the GP tried and tried to find the heartbeat but couldn't!
Fingers crossed no one else has to go through that!

Oh my god you poor thing going through all that worry! Were you on your own? So relieved to hear all is ok - can’t imagine your panic. Did you bleed for long last time? Hopefully it’ll go away soon.

Delighted for pumpkin and biscay with good scans today Smile amazing!

At the 12 week scan (mine is tomorrow eek!) they’ve told me they will do an NT scan and blood test. I’m assuming the blood test takes a while to get the results? Is the NT scan on its own reliable enough that if there’s nothing picked up I could probably start telling people at work? What is general opinion - better to wait until bloods? Or is seeing a baby shaped silhouette probably alright? Thanks.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 09/04/2018 17:08

@lovesrunning they said 10 days for blood test results. I feel confident enough from the scan to start telling my people now. She said NT was well within the normal range.

Good luck! It's nerve wracking but worth it after.

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 09/04/2018 17:09

Also the people are not mine. I don't have any people! Typo

lovesrunning · 09/04/2018 17:21

Ohh haha I was wondering if you lived in da hood or perhaps are a religious leader of some kind.

Thanks for the reassurance Smile I hadn’t been worried at all until today. I think we’ll tell people if all looks good tomorrow. It’s getting hard to hide anyway...!

justtowarm · 09/04/2018 17:38

@Milknosugar1 thank you meee toooo!

@lovesrunning At my scan they already had blood results as we see community midwife who takes them at 10 weeks in preparation for the scan at 12. The you get the results there and then at the scan.

With my son I bled most of the time from about 6-11 weeks. I was lucky today my partner came right back from work (which is local) so I was on my own but not for long :) and he came to the hospital with me. Fingers crossed things all seem to be getting back to normal!

twobambinos · 09/04/2018 18:02

Oh I'd love to go for another scan now to find out gender but have to wait until 20 weeks. 😂

Congrats on scan @biscay @pumpkimpieinmyeye

@justtowarm what a day for you. Glad everything is OK and try get plenty of rest now. I can imagine it was all so stressful.

@rhibee29 start of May won't be long coming. Fingers crossed for your results.

The bump is on the way here. Alot of my clothes are getting snug and I don't like things too fitted at the in between stage. I'll have to invest in some clothes or I'll be wearing the same two bits all the time. I hate trying to dress for the in between.

lovesrunning · 09/04/2018 18:23

@justtowarm ah brill, glad you didn’t have to wait for results! I’ll keep everything crossed for you...
