I’m waiting for another appointment, 11 week scan, related to having an operation, not directly for the baby, that’s next week but will still see the baby today so am looking forward to it! Currently 1.5 hours delayed!!
Work review went well, thanks to everyone for the good luck wishes. I am very lucky to have a super supportive boss, more so than I realised. He only looked a bit worried when I nearly started crying! I managed to keep it together😅

These reviews are every 5 weeks so i need to work hard this month to make up for the last two months but I feel better about it all at the moment. Now just want to the baby on the ultrasound, some of the scan pictures I’ve seen online are so detailed at this stage, mine at 9 weeks was two blobs (head and body not twins!!).

Good luck @rhibee9 I hope you’re not kept waiting too long for your results today.

Thanks @loverunning. I called the midwife but didn't find it all that helpful. Hopefully it's just a case of me needing to chill out!! I am a runner yes, and guessing you are too? Smile How much harder is it now we're pregnant?! Every run I'm amazed and horrified all over again at how much slower I am!! Grin

Penguina · 04/04/2018 18:01

Hope everyone’s scans went well today.

I still have a bloody week to wait. But time is flying as I’m so busy with work and two other children!

We we t to toys r us at the weekend as they aren’t closing down - might be worth a look for people who need a lot of stuff. They us can car seats with 30% off and pushchairs etc. All we came out with was a football goal and a pack of breast pads but still!

monkerina · 04/04/2018 18:01

Had our scan today and sadly baby passed away a couple of days ago. Will bow out now, best of luck to everyone.

Penguina · 04/04/2018 18:06

I’m I can actually spell and use normal words!? Are closing down ..obviously

Penguina · 04/04/2018 18:08

OHim so sorry @monkerina. This is my worst fear. Look after yourself.

lovesrunning · 04/04/2018 18:24

Oh monkerina I’m so so sorry. What a terrible blow. I hope you’ve got lots of people you can talk things through with and be with if you need company. Xx

@running3 easier said than done with the chilling out - but if he/she didn’t seem concerned hopefully it’s nothing. Yes!! I feel ridiculously unfit. Are you finding your heart rate is much higher too even on easier jogs? I’ve cut all the speed work and just jog now. Some days I don’t have the energy. I’m down from about 70km a week to about 25km and feel like a beginner again. Still, would rather listen to my body and adjust than feel like I’ve overdone it.

Hayleyxmx · 04/04/2018 18:45

@monkerina my heart goes out to you 💕

RhiBee29 · 04/04/2018 18:53

Unfortunately not good news, tests show I'm not immune to Parvovirus. Need to be retested on 25th and if I am then immune it means I have been infected. Also having my scan on this date, I'll be 13+4. So this time I need you all to pray that I stay not immune! Need to stay away from potential infection risk so no kids parties, no swimming lessons and no football practice so DH is going to have to step up.

@monkerina I'm so sorry to hear your news, take care x

justtowarm · 04/04/2018 21:01

Oh @monkerina I'm so sorry, look after yourself

@RhiBee29 I'm hoping everything works out for you and sending you lots of best wishes

ATP1000 · 04/04/2018 23:06

I am so sorry @monkerina, there should be a local support group for you if you ask at the hospital/doctors, it might be helpful if you haven’t told family/friends or want to talk to people who understand a bit better xx

ladydolly · 05/04/2018 06:24

Oh @monkerina, I'm so sorry. I've been there and it's utterly shit. Please DM me if you'd like to talk. I felt ok at the time but a few weeks later it hit me. Give yourself time. xx

ladydolly · 05/04/2018 06:32

@bridgefarmkefir Another archers fan!! Excellent!!!

@Ianzlucy yes very much so. With my first I got so sick of talking about myself and pregnancy. It's even more of a focus when you're pregnant but I actually found I was less hung up on it when the baby arrived. I still hate it when people refer to me as 'mum' not 'a mum' but specifically 'mum', I have a name!! I found keeping my interests going helped and once the baby arrived I went to baby friendly cinema screenings and listened to current podcasts while feeding baby just so I could have things to talk about other than the baby! Whatever works, it's totally normal.

@unicornchaser can you get some nice long/big scarves? I am huge at 14 weeks but when I was still hiding it that got me through. People have commented that as soon as I announced I was pg I was suddenly sporting a huge baby bump but actually I had just kept it well hidden until then!

I've started pre natal pilates, I could probably stick with normal pilates but it's actually really nice being with other pregnant women and doing exercises that will help support my pregnant body, especially since dd1 was over 10lb so I need my core to prepare for that hard work again!

running3 · 05/04/2018 06:53

@monkerina that's terrible news, I'm so sorry. Having had an early miscarriage before I know it's devastating, try and be kind to yourself and make sure you let yourself grieve. Thinking of you.

@loverunning yes far better to ease off now and then suffer trying to build back up after baby is here! I couldn't do anymore even if I wanted to though, body says no!!

Melamine · 05/04/2018 08:23

So sorry @monkerina. Unfortunately I got the same news yesterday. Good luck everyone & hope to see you in future clubs 💔

Hayleyxmx · 05/04/2018 08:42

I’m so sorry @Melamine 😢

Our October bus was going so well and now we are having all these losses its so sad to hear, my heart goes out to all if you.

I’m currently waiting on my official 12 week scan which will be next Wednesday when I’m 13 weeks I’m getting really anxious now seeing all the posts I had a scan at 8 weeks and seen my babies heartbeat but it’s hit home now it’s still early days xx

justtowarm · 05/04/2018 10:20

@Melamine I'm so sorry for your loss , I hope you have someone looking after you

@Hayleyxmx I know what you mean, my 12 week scan a week ago was such a relief but worry is starting to creep back in!

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 05/04/2018 11:21

I'm so sorry @Melamine and @monkerinaFlowers

xXAnonXx · 05/04/2018 11:55

Hi all,

This is my first post as I was so worried about something going wrong in early pregnancy i didn't want to 'jinx' anything! Had our dating scan last week and everything was looking good with a strong heartbeat detected. I hope everyone's scans who are coming up soon go well!

justtowarm · 05/04/2018 13:32

@xXAnonXx it's good to hear your scan went well, fingers crossed for everyone else :)

ladydolly · 05/04/2018 15:06

lovesrunning · 05/04/2018 16:40
