I think my mum was a bit hacked off with me, crying was a tad melodramatic I suppose.

I have just been to the hosp for my pre cs assessment, very interesting, got a good tour around, talked about pain relief, shown the infamous patient-line and then got hooked up to a blinkin monitor as the baby's heartrate (and my pulse) was very fast. Not that I'm nervous at all . Anyway it was all very clean and very quiet and very small and very country. In the cs ward of 4 beds there were only 2 girls. And the single rooms were empty, she said I can go in one of them if I want to. They all seem to be very friendly and laid back and for me it was quite reassuring that my registrar is a Nigerian bloke!

Forgot to say lol at Maddie MrsJB, she sounds like a lively one

I'm not going to watch that Panorama programme, a lot of it will be sensationalised for sure and besides I have 10 lovely ladies coming round for copious glasses of wine and nibbles tonight

We don't need scaring surely so no Panorama for me

hello all. congrats to those who have given birth and best of luck to those still waiting.

I am very pleased to announce the arrival of our little girl - Carys Faith who was born 3wks and 2 days early yesterday afternoon.

After all the worry about her being breach, she wasn't after all and was born yesterday normally after a long labour (whoever said that labours are supposedly easier by no. 3 was a liar ).

I was admitted to hospital on Tuesday night after a bleed. DH stayed the night as I was having niggling but painful contractions - got examined at 6am yesterday morning which showed absolutely zilch progress. I was gutted after 12 hours of fairly uncomfortable contractions. I decided to get into the bath after the exam at 6am and this kickstarted things - she was born at 2pm and it hurt like hell. Carys is a good weight 7lbs10 and 51 cms and is feeding well, we'll be going home tomorrow to her delighted daddy and brothers.

Congrats Deejags and well done.

I was hanging on to the thought number 3 would be easier too! Maybe not then.

Well just got back from my visit to the consultant got booked in for my cs then went to have another scan after the consultant having a quick look and saying placenta defo not moved then seeing the proper scan person and being told placenta defo moved and exit all clear!!!!

So there you go one minute knowing the date my baby is coming and then the next being told am doing it the natural way - WTF I am now in two minds about everything as have been told from 20wk's that am having a cs so have totally in my head ruled out pain, tearing etc I now have to think about all that and get my head round it.

Sorry needed to rant a little think I am in shock as was also told that my baby at 36wks is nearly 7lb and has a very large belly, new the creme egg addiction was going to have some sort of repercussions!!

Just been for my midwife appt, I'm sure she is judging me as she looked me up and down, thinking 'fat cow'. Although I am eating a big tub of ice cream now. I figure I'll be straight back to Slimming World in a few weeks so may as well fill my face now.

Baby still breech, yawn... And a 'good size' apparently, 'definitely not a 5lb'er'. Its all bloody reassuring stuff.
