Thought I'd start up a new thread as the old one has run out of space.

@peterpanwendy Our NHS Trust has a breast feeding support group with drop in sessions at different places each day. You could ask your midwife about any support locally so you're ready for after giving birth. Also, try not to stress too much about it - I had a midwife come and help me with every feed at the beginning whilst I was in hospital (feel free to press the call buzzer at any time if you need their help).
I agree with @somersetsinger - if it's making you unhappy / too stressed, don't worry about using formula instead. I tried bf for 3.5mths with DS but I just didn't make enough milk and he eventually self weaned onto formula. He's now a perfectly happy and thriving 10mth old and I look back wishing I'd switched sooner rather than have all the stress about feeding/lack of weight gain etc.

Welcome to team blue @dancingunicorns123 !

I had my 20wk scan today and it's defo a boy.

@SpriteGirl - Being ill on top of pregnancy is a horrible. It really annoys me that all you can do is take is paracetamol and bed rest. I'm not one for sitting and doing nothing. Normally I'd dose myself up to the eyeballs with cocodamol and ibuprofen and try to get on with it. Really hope you're feeling better soon!

Congrats @dancingunicorns123! Glad everything was ok at your scan and you're team blue!! And same to Gizzymum :)

Re all the breastfeeding. I know they say "breast is best" all the time but I think its really important to remember that actually, "FED is best". If you want to try breastfeeding and its not happening for you or you hate it (was both in my case with DD) then there is totally no harm whatsoever in switching to formula. I'm yet to see a study that gives quantifiable evidence for how much exactly breast is best, so don't worry and don't fall into the guilt trap that a lot of the midwives and health visitors will try to have you in.

Thanks ladies. Temperature feels more normal this morning so far although I woke up drenched in sweat at some point during the night (sorry TMI). It’s just the added stress of being pregnant and worrying about the baby. And I am an accountant, it’s financial year end I need to be at work so it’s awful timing but I can’t really risk it.

All the best to everyone having their scans this week.

Hi all, I've had a dodgy FB message from Vicky M so posting here in an attempt to let her know her account has been hacked! Not sure of the Mumsnet username!!
