We've had a little bit of snow, but not really enough to be disruptive. I have had a couple of work commitments that involved travelling cancelled, for which I'm quite grateful really.
@Peanut2017 if you google you can find tips for making yourself invisible on FB - you just need to dig through all the privacy bits in settings I think. Alternatively, set up a brand new profile just to join the group, and make sure it has tight privacy settings.
@Gem173 might be best to stay away from other people's stories! It's a bit like watching One Born Every Minute, probably the more dramatic ones get told more/more airtime. Might be worth thinking about NCT/NHS classes which cover birth scenarios and options, as I think what does help is knowing what you can request and what your options are. Having confidence and some techniques - e.g. breathing, etc, from things like hypnobirthing or gentle birthing - might be good. They won't guarantee an easy birth, but they might give you a better chance of feeling calm when whatever happens happens. It's not very helpful to say this, but fear is probably the least helpful thing as it can make the experience worse!
FWIW my first birth was pretty good, in the scheme of things. I stood up for most of it, and felt okay about making choices in terms of pain relief, how I wanted to 'position' myself, etc. I was also lucky, of course, that baby was in the right place etc.
