Thought I'd start up a new thread as the old one has run out of space.

Congratulations to everyone on the gorgeous photographs.

@LadesC, I hope it's nothing too serious. Did the GP suggest anything other than an infection? Please don't google it though.

Was anyone else slightly jealous of their partners during their scans? Mine got to see the whole show and I got a few glimpses of the screen when they decided to show me... less than a minutes worth, whereas he got about 20 minutes! I know it's irrational as I'll get to feel all the kicking, the flutters and nit being squeezed out the birth canal by myself..... Hmm. Actually, still think he might think he has the better end of the deal.

LadesC · 14/02/2018 18:19

No Kiki. Just said it mite ease up and to take it easy, no heavy lifting. Not that easy with a toddler! And if got heavier they would get me another scan.

Gem173 · 14/02/2018 18:26

@kiki didn’t really feel jealous because we had one screen on the wall which I could look up at and a screen the lady was using which oh could see. Either way the photos make everything better :) x can’t stop looking at them

TheSleeperandTheSpindle · 14/02/2018 18:39

Baby was so cooperative today! Very unlike their big brother during his scan! All measurements fine and everything progressing how it should.

Due date pushed to 27th Aug so I’m only 12+2 (again! Grin)

We have a screen suspended over the bed in our trust.

YouCantBeSirius · 14/02/2018 20:19

There was a large flat screen on the wall opposite at my scan so it was lovely being able to see everything.

Sugarskulllover · 14/02/2018 20:27

Wow to all the new scan pictures! Your babies all look amazing! Here's to the countdown for the next one! (5 weeks on Friday for me)

Heartburn is still getting to me but now have some gaviscon so hoping that'll help ease it.

BertieBotts · 14/02/2018 20:40

They haven't changed my due date even though I keep measuring ahead. I suppose it's better than measuring behind though!

Feeling lots and lots of wiggles now but it seems to be more when I'm sat in a scrunched up position with my legs on the chair.

In our doctor's office they tend to have two screens, one by the weird dentist-chair-for-foofs and one big one on the wall/ceiling by the bed where they do the external scans. DH usually goes and films the big screen whereas I get to see the one closer to me.

He's not sure he'll be able to make the Monday appointment when we have a really detailed scan because he's been off work all this week sick :( But I'm hopeful it will be okay and I've promised to get a picture for him.

I am having trouble finding a midwife because everyone seems to be on holiday either in August or in September which means my end of August due date is a problem as they're supposed to cover you before and after the birth. And hardly any of them answer their phones which is annoying!

peterpanwendy · 14/02/2018 20:59

@clementineclouds I have just messaged you about the Facebook group! Hope it's not too late for me to join x

badb · 15/02/2018 08:50

Gosh, all your scan pics are so clear. My consultant does a scan at every visit, but her machine takes really grainy images - she prints us out a roll, and honestly, it's just blobs most of the time. We got a nice pic at our Harmony scan at 10+4, as that was in the main hospital. Three weeks to our next visit.

My husband forced me to go to the GP yesterday with this infernal cough, and he said it was viral bronchitis. Which I already knew. But it's the worst cough I've ever had, I think. So painful. I wake at 4am every morning with crazy coughing fits and can't get back to sleep. I'm so sick of it now.

Good luck to everyone with their scans.

Emmasmum2013 · 15/02/2018 09:33

@badb Did the Dr give you anything for your cough? I feel like I've had one for about a month now that I can't seem to shift and its difficult as anything with a bit of effective ingredients says not to take during pregnancy!

dancingunicorns123 · 15/02/2018 09:40

This was my scan yesterday, now due 30th Aug so I'm now only 12 weeks today! How do I join the fb group?

Pereie · 15/02/2018 09:44

I am on another course of antibiotics... this time for an abscess in my gum, oh the joys of pregnancyHmm

I had a private scan last night at 15+2 and found out we are having a wee boy. Can't believe they were able to tell us so early!

peterpanwendy · 15/02/2018 10:08

@dancingunicorns123 I want to join the group too I think it's @clementineclouds who made it so PM her :)

Gem173 · 15/02/2018 10:13

Perie congratulations on the baby boy xx

peterpanwendy · 15/02/2018 10:14

So at 7:50am I went back to the hospital for another scan after baby was stubborn yesterday. So this was now my 3rd attempt at my 12 week scan! The lady doing the scan today was much more patient and over 2 hours gave it 3 attempts to try and get the measurements. We got to see all the organs and chord and baby is happy and healthy! Still moving like crazy but sat bolt upright then head down 🙈 I thought it was quite comical. Eventually got the measurements and decided to go ahead and have the 12 week screening so had bloods too. I've attached a couple of my fave pics of baby from this morning. One of the back of baby doing the Mexican wave and another of it lying down but covering its face with its hands and you can really see the fingers and toes 😍

I'm measuring 12+4 so official due date is 26/08 :)

@Pereie amazing 3D scan! And so cool you could tell it's a baby boy, bet you're over the moon! X

dancingunicorns123 · 15/02/2018 10:16

@peterpanwendy how do you pm?

badb · 15/02/2018 10:25

@Emmasmum, he said I could take Exputex (I don't know if you have that brand in the UK?). I don't know though, it does say that it's not advised on the leaflet. I guess you should trust a doctor, but...he also gave me a script for an antibiotic to keep 'just in case' it turned into a chest infection! Honestly, it's no wonder that bugs are getting resistant to antibiotics. How am I supposed to judge that myself?

Lovely scan pics everyone.

Emmasmum2013 · 15/02/2018 10:37

Cheers badb I'll have to go and see what the doc says. I must be driving everyone mad with coughing at work.

So good to see everyone's scan pics and so many healthy little babies!
Roll on the 20 week scans! :)

Pereie · 15/02/2018 10:38

@peterpanwendy lol, what a cheeky monkey! Glad you managed to get all the essentials measured, I bet I was fun going back to see baby again though! Grin

popcorndiva · 15/02/2018 11:18

Scan went well. Took 2 attempts as baby was hiding in a corner but due date confirmed as 30th august. So relieved

YouCantBeSirius · 15/02/2018 11:19

Had my appointment with my consultant this morning and my midwife. All is looking good so far, blood pressure perfect and urine was clear. I've been given the go ahead for a planned cesarean so I'll have an appointment at 36 weeks to book it.

Since I wasn't able to have the screening tests done at 12 weeks the midwife has taken bloods to do the screening now. Apparently it's not as accurate in the second trimester though. My bloods are being sent to England though so I won't hear back for a few weeks.

Next midwife appointment is not until the beginning of April now.

peterpanwendy · 15/02/2018 13:49

@Pereie I know! It was I've had 4 scans now I feel a bit cheeky but never mind at least it's put my mind at rest

peterpanwendy · 15/02/2018 13:51

@YouCantBeSirius glad to hear you're making progress and it's put your mind at rest now they've given you the csec go ahead. I was offered a late screening before baby moved it's butt earlier today and she said in some ways it's not as accurate but they can test for more things so could be a good thing! X
