Thought I'd start up a new thread as the old one has run out of space.

@milney25 I think I'm more anxious about stopping them this time around, they're like my safety net. I might just see if I can get a few extra and hang on until I see the consultant, who will probably say you could have stopped them now Grin

milney25 · 13/02/2018 08:19

@butterfly86 the nurse at EPU did suggest that to me if I was feeling nervous too. It can't hurt!

Emmasmum2013 · 13/02/2018 08:47

Welcome newcomers!!
@peterpanwendy - I've been miserable with the sickness and tiredness. I think the tiredness makes me more emotional than anything. I broke down and cried in front of DH the other day who went "why are you crying?!" out of genuine shock. I very rarely cry and I must have been putting a good show of a brave face for a long time haha. I don't want to jinx it, but I actually feel slightly better. I even ate shepherds pie for tea last night and felt fine afterwards!

Scan today!! Told my 4yo DD that a special machine is going to see inside mummy's tummy and we'll hopefully get a picture of the baby. She said "Wow that's cool!!" haha.

@Gem173 Thank you!!

butterfly86 · 13/02/2018 10:22

@milney25 I think I did alternate last time but can't be sure, I juse want someone to tell me what to do so I don't have to make the decision!

Stephiewoo · 13/02/2018 10:26

Good luck for your scan today @Gem173 xx

Hello everyone. I haven't been on for a while as work has been mental. I'm 13+3 today. I had my booking in visit last week, and got the results of my NIPT just before - all low risk, thank goodness, and a boy! That was a surprise, as I'm not sure why but I had convinced myself it was another girl.

I've been feeling generally shit, but not all pregnancy related. I seem to have taken a bad reaction to the Pregnacare - awful digestive issues, and ended up losing a bit of weight as a result. I've switched back to ordinary folic acid plus vit d, so that seems to have resolved. And for the last week, I've had an awful, hacking cough that's been making me sick and keeping me awake all night (just when badblet has decided, after two years of sleepless nights, that she might try sleeping through for a while). Anyway.

I told work last week, after the booking in. It's going to land them in a tight spot as I'm head of a new project that's starting in September, so I wanted to give them ample notice. My boss was fine, but I still feel a bit bad about it.

Gem173 · 13/02/2018 12:59

Hey ladies! Meet twinkle!!

Everything went fine :) baby did wobble about but was lazy and didn’t want to be measured so had to walk around for 20 mins run up and down stairs and use the toilet 3 times! Been told I have an unusually large bladder for a girl!! Was there for 1 hour and a half. Have had bloods taken for screening too :) feels so unreal!! Xx

@Gem173 I am so pleased for you! I know how worried you've been!

Gem173 · 13/02/2018 13:21

Thanks @milney25 the worry subsided as soon as I saw my baby I’m so excited now and so happy this baby has given me quite an easy time compared to others xx

Emmasmum2013 · 13/02/2018 13:32

Here’s my camera shy baby!! Such a relief to see him/her wriggling around in the screen. And I could definitely feel the movements too!! I’m totally in love now 😍

Gem173 · 13/02/2018 14:04

@Emmasmums looks so cute! I understand your feelings! I got them too!

YouCantBeSirius · 13/02/2018 14:05

It's my birthday today and DP has taken me and our girls out for lunch and I can barely eat anything Sad

misshannah · 13/02/2018 14:38

Aww yay! Feeling so relieved the scan is over today. Glad to hear others went well too.
My dates changed by 1 day so now due 27/08.

SpriteGirl · 13/02/2018 15:55

Have just had the phone call with my Harmony test results. All ok all risks less than 1:10,000. Relief doesn't really cover it I've been to hell and back these last 9 days.

I think the whole experience has just made me more anxious about the pregnancy. Need to decompress and digest.

Congratulations to those of you who've had your scan results today.

E2017 · 13/02/2018 16:08

Congratulations on those with good results today.
I've been back to drs this am as not held anything down at all since yesterday. Scales this am showed I've lost another 1.1kg since Sunday. Doctor said Ketones just below the limit for requiring a drip. Different anti sickness meds now. Been signed off work for a week though as dr doesn't think I'm fit to work and wants me to rest. Fingers crossed that this anti sickness stuff will work.
For the first time I'm considering a private scan just to make sure everything is ok as I've been feeling so rough.
Has anyone been through this if so how did they get on.

Emmasmum2013 · 13/02/2018 16:35

Congrats @Gem173, @misshannah and @spritegirl
My due date also changed by one day, so 22nd August now. But the dr said that they’ve done studies and apparently they found only 5% of women give birth on their due date!
Also, baby’s NT measurement was nice and low, but he did say that doesn’t meant an awful lot without the blood tests so just waiting for those results now.

milney25 · 13/02/2018 16:39

@spritegirl I am so so happy for you. I can't imagine the stress you've been under these last few weeks. Hopefully you can move on and start to feel less anxious and enjoy your pregnancy.

Gem173 · 13/02/2018 17:24

My due date has also gone back one day, 29th August now instead of 28th so I am 11 weeks 6 days! Replaying what I thought I was yesterday haha

CabbagePatch91 · 13/02/2018 17:39

Hello all,

I had my twelve week scan yesterday and am due 28th August 2018. This is my first so I'm nervous but very excited!

I'm looking to meet up with other expectant mums to share experiences with and I'm also keen to try out some pregnancy classes. If there's anyone who'd like a pal, give me a shout! Smile

SpriteGirl · 13/02/2018 17:52

Thank you ladies.

@CabbagePatch91 congratulations and welcome. Where about are you based?

CabbagePatch91 · 13/02/2018 18:43

I've just moved to Clydebank but work in the city centre and am happy to meet pretty much anywhere as I drive and there's good public transport links here :)

CumbrianExile · 13/02/2018 18:48

Welcome to all the newbies.

And congrats to all the good news/scans today! It's hard to keep up Grin

peterpanwendy · 13/02/2018 18:50

@dancingunicorns123 will do! I'm expecting all to be ok as only had a scan 2 weeks ago and also still feeling super poorly!

@Emmasmum2013 glad you're feeling a bit better today! Unfortunately today has been probably my worst day yet. I've not kept any food down and generally felt awful all day! :(

Thank you @Gem173 and so glad your scan went well, what a lovely photo! Does it feel more real now?

@YouCantBeSirius happy birthday! Sorry you're feeling rough, I was the exact same on my birthday 2 weeks ago. You will have to have cake and sweets when you're feeling a bit better :)

We're going to need to update the thread with all our new due dates! Hoping mine doesn't change again tomorrow (for the 3rd time!)
