I hope this works! Here is a new thread as the old one was getting v long.
I hope everyone is doing ok. If I'm anything to go by you will be wandering around queasy and exhausted - isn't this fun?!

OP posts:

skidaddle · 04/05/2007 12:24

oh good news pecka, and no I don't think that is naughty at all - i think it is all looking very promising

Connie - i read that thread too and will try not to be too fluffy for you! Congratulations

Beachbunni - I know what you mean - I think loads of people are like that but as you get more and more pg I think you just want that baby out and don't care how it's done - hence loss of squemishness

BeachBunni · 04/05/2007 13:18

Skiddale - yeah I've resigned myself that it's going to have to come out at some stage. No point worrying about it now though.

Good news Pecka. Hope the HCG levels are on the up!

Congratulations Connie. When are you due?

Nbg · 04/05/2007 13:40

Hey thats great news Pecka.
When will you get the results?

Beanstermummy · 04/05/2007 14:06

It's Friday and it's a bank holiday weekend - yeah ha!!!

Oh yes- My little Button babe is officially 10 weeks old today (well by my count anyway since I'm not getting a scan for weeks and weeks!). How quickly is all this going ?!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and relaxes in the sun and forgets all about stresses of being PG!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 04/05/2007 14:31

Not sure, presumably when DH can sneak on the HCG machine lol

Nbg · 04/05/2007 14:42

lol

What does he do?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 04/05/2007 15:38

He is a heamatologist, or biomedical scientist or something like that!!

Basically he tests blood

Nbg · 04/05/2007 15:40

Euhhhhh [shudder]

Well I hope you hear something soon!

JARM · 04/05/2007 15:47

oooooh pecka, hoping for good news!

Time is flying - 10 weeks tomorrow already, still feels like yesterday i found out DC3 was going to make an appearance.... and im still bricking it!

9 days til my scan (not counting honest!) am a bit worried as i keep "feeling" things in my tummy, just had one little "feeling" and it was honestly like baby was pushing the top of the womb. tis tres weird! (and no, its not wind unfortunately!)

PeckaRolloverAgain · 04/05/2007 16:05

42,300

Nbg · 04/05/2007 16:08

I really dont know what to say Pecka.
I have no idea what the norm is with levels.

What did your dh say?

skidaddle · 04/05/2007 16:14

pecka, what does it mean if they haven't doubled? Have you spoken to anyone about it?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 04/05/2007 16:24

well, i cant really becasue dh did the test on the side

stupid idea really

dont know what to do now

all i know that in healthy pregnancy it doubles every 48-72 hours

this blood was taken 46 hours after last one and only went up about 700 instead of the 40,000 it should have

Nbg · 04/05/2007 16:26

so theres still chance for it to go up again?

PeckaRolloverAgain · 04/05/2007 16:28

i think, if things were ok it would have gon up way more than this

becklespeckle · 04/05/2007 16:42

Pecka - massive massive hugs to you, its not over yet though hun - still going up is a good sign surely? What now? Will you speak to your MW???

PeckaRolloverAgain · 04/05/2007 16:56

dont think just going up is a good sign really, it always went up last time just not enough to indicate healthy pregnancy

i just want it out of me now, want my life back

sick of feeling so sick, tired and sad

Loucee · 04/05/2007 20:18

Hi everyone

I read the thread to catch up with you but often don't get chance to reply as either forgotten what I was going to say or am too tired!

Skidaddle, Incy and Peanut - another resuable over here, only just started with them though as like others have said always saw them as a faff and yet MORE washing! However, I think they're great so will pick brains on others as I only have two brands at the moment - bambeanoes and bumgenius (is there a nappy forum?)

Pecka, oh hunny I'm sorry the HCG levels haven't risen as much as you'd hoped. I really hope everything is ok for you.

I feel a bit unsure of posting this now after Pecka's bloods but we had our dating scan today and the wee bubba is measuring 7+4. Anyone know when that makes me due?

Hope everyone has a good bank holiday weekend,

Lucy

mad4girls · 04/05/2007 20:55

hi everyone

can i just ask everones opinion on this me dp and kids been looking at holidays for last couple of months was planning to book this month for may 08 this was all planned before we knew about "bubbles" but have a found a really good deal for a week in majorca sc next may, my query is would anyone here book a holiday this far in advance now you are pregnant even though its such earlydays, have pre warned the travel agent she says no extra cost except hiring of a cot, but would u think it would be too risky to book something so far away when in such early stages please help as if i want it i need to pay deposit tomrrow £100 please give advice

loucee-did they not they give you a due date at the scan ? go on to google type in due date predictor will give you loads of site which can work it out on longer cycles from lmp or from date of conception i got 7th dec for you from your dates but you might be able to get it more acurate if u no your cycle

pecka- (((hugs))) babe keep sending those positive vibes to you.

connie- congrats hun

cazzybabs · 04/05/2007 21:03

Hang on Pecka don't give up yet:

(1) About 85% of normal pregnancies will have the hCG level double every 48 - 72 hours. As you get further along into pregnancy and the hCG level gets higher, the time it takes to double can increase to about every 96 hours.

(2) I also found this

3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml

4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml

5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml

6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml

7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml

9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml

Loucee · 04/05/2007 21:15

Mad4girls, yes I would book the holiday. "Bubbles" will be a good age to travel with in May and if the saddest thing were to happen in these early days you as a family would be glad to get a holiday away together.

No the nurse/sonographer didn't give me a due date but perhaps that's my fault as I was late to the appointment and asked her about consultant appointments (where they would be held). It was all quite rushed but as I was late I just hurried in and hurried out!

Meant to say in my last post Congratulations Connie

babyox · 04/05/2007 21:40

hello there

I hope it's not too late to join this thread. DC2 is due the 21st Dec...i think! My dates are a bit vague having only had 2 periods since stopping BF DS who is 10 months. We just moved back to the UK (Edinburgh) last month so everything has been quite manic...and now this lovely little surprise!!!
Hadnt managed to loose all the babyweight from DS so feeling massive already..aswell as sick. hhhm
Dont know anything about HCG levels but hope everything is ok pecka. Take care
x

mad4girls · 04/05/2007 21:43

becklespeckle · 04/05/2007 21:44

Oh Pecka, I don't know what to say. Please call your midwife or EPU, make something up if you have to, just make sure you are seen by someone.

babyox · 04/05/2007 21:45

p.s. Madforgirls I would book that hol. We had to fly with DS at 10wks and he was an angel...hotels are also generally accomodating with wee ones. Good luck!
