I hope this works! Here is a new thread as the old one was getting v long.
I hope everyone is doing ok. If I'm anything to go by you will be wandering around queasy and exhausted - isn't this fun?!

OP posts:

dundeemarmalade · 14/05/2007 11:37

fingers crossed for pecka.

awen- all i can say is... prunes.

i feel like that episode from the young ones where the rik mayall one starts panicking cos his belly is all swollen and he thinks he's having a baby, but it turns out to be the world's biggest fart. oh the joys.

BeachBunni · 14/05/2007 12:13

Or a good strong cup of coffee always works for me awen..it's the only reason I haven't given up my two cups in the morning, although that's all I have now and not my usual 5 after that.

BeachBunni · 14/05/2007 12:24

It's like my dad always says, 'act in haste, repent at leisure'. Everyone has done things in their life that they regret it's just awful that theirs has such big consequences.

MamaMaiasaura · 14/05/2007 12:48

no prunes needed .. I think it is cos i now have the house to myself lol.

fifisworld · 14/05/2007 13:03

bambino1 - I done exactly the same as you last night. We were watching extreme makeover and i was hysterical. Then just before i went to bed dp said something to me and that started me off again and i went to bed crying my eyes out.
My hair is also coming out in handfulls but it did the same with ds. Im just finding hair everywhere

JARM that is brilliant. Bet your so relieved.

I too am very as i've got to wait til 4th June! Seems like years away!

bambino1 · 14/05/2007 15:09

Fifisworld - so glad I'm not the only one who gets hysterical over silly things!

Sorry guys but my hair seems to be healthier than before pg although it fell out in huge clumps after birth of dd so that will prob happen again!

Housemum · 14/05/2007 15:10

Hi all - thisisnotmyrealMNname here! Have had a scan today - they did an internal scan so didn't need the full bladder (phew!) - it's really there!

fingers crossed that we all make it to the end

Bye for now!

PS can I go on your roll call for 31 Dec - 3 Jan now??!!

bambino1 · 14/05/2007 15:13

Congratulations housemum. Another end of year baby!

BeachBunni · 14/05/2007 15:43

Jarm and housemum fantastic news

Another jealous person here - roll on next friday!

becklespeckledfrog · 14/05/2007 15:54

Congrats JARM and Housemum! Glad your scans went well!

Ambi · 14/05/2007 17:37

Sounds fab JARM, now I can't wait for my scan - have to pay for the photies at our hospital, is that the same all over? £2 per photo, since I'll need loads(the relatives are expecting a copy), I'm gonna have to raid the piggy bank

, beachbunni, I totally agree with you re Maddie, feel awful for those parents but it seems crazy that they would leave the babies alone.

Housemum · 14/05/2007 18:29

JARM - that's great - mine being earlier was more of a broad bean to see than arms and legs! She pointed out a flickering bit though that was the heart so roll on the next 7.5 months!!

macdoodle · 14/05/2007 20:11

aaghh I feel so pathetic - I am soooo tired and sick remember being sick last time but didn't have boisterous 5 year old business finances etc and I was younger - but still feel like a real moaning lazy cow - only work 21/2-3 days week hard when I am there but had to come home early today - haven't washed up yet friend did daughters tea just about managed bathtime and dreading work tomorrow Should be happy but just dreading the next 7 months and then back to baby stuff sleepless nights this was totally unplanned with estranged DH so all those complications too just feeling bit overwhelmed at mo hellllp

macdoodle · 14/05/2007 20:13

oh and keep having recurring dream/nightmare it is twins

JARM · 14/05/2007 21:28

mac - i had that too, but deffo only 1 baby today!

Hope you feel better soon, its hard work, but so worth it in the end xxx

becklespeckledfrog · 15/05/2007 00:30

Bleugh. First night back at work tonight after 2 1/2 weeks off and I am knackered! Felt quite rough all evening - feel more like I am starving and have not eaten for days than actually sick though IYKWIM? But the thought of most foods turn my stomach. Not helped this evening by scanning people's shopping - especially the fresh bread! Got a bit of a shock when put my work trousers on though, can't really breathe out or sit down when they are done up! (resorted to safety pinning them up...)
Macdoodle, feel free to vent on here, am not surprised you feel a bit overwhelmed at the moment, such a lot going on for you. Any chance of you and DH patching things up? (sorry if that's a bit insensitive, you don't have to answer). I had a friend txt me today and said she dreamed I had twins - only one tiny tadpole there last week though!

Nbg · 15/05/2007 07:27

Morning all, dont know what the hell I'm doing here. I have an awful migrane and am waiting for PIL's to come and see to the kids today as I feel so ill.
Think I'm going to have to reschedule my scan as I really cant see myself sat there waiting feeling like this.

Am a bit disappointed as I was really hoping to get a date to beat JARM

JARM · 15/05/2007 07:28

awww babe, u sure you cant make it, i dont want you to miss out.

Get PIL over, go to bed for an hour and then see how you feel xxx

Nbg · 15/05/2007 07:36

am still waiting for them to call me back. They're 70 miles away!!! Told them I need to get dd to preschool for 9:15 and I called them at 6:30.

I think I've only ever had 1 migrane before in my whole life.

Its weird though, I cant have the lights on but looking at this isnt that bad.

bambino1 · 15/05/2007 08:24

Poor you Nbg! Is there not anyone else to pick your little one up as a favour?
I am prone to migraines. I get realy bad ones and can't do anything but lie in a pitch black room and try to sleep.
Hope your ok.

I did it again last night, I sobbed my way through extreme makeover: Home edition. I have said to DH not to let me watch it anymore. It honestly is soo sad. DH was almost crying last night so can't blame it on the pg this time!

My dd best friend has got chicken pox. I have had it so should i be concerned?

BeachBunni · 15/05/2007 08:57

Oh yuck Nbg. I've never had migranes myself but my sis gets them bad and it's horrible. Lying down in a dark room seems to be the only thing that helps. I think they're pretty common in pg. Make sure you're drinking loads of water incase you're dehydrated.

Hope you feel better soon
