I hope everyone is doing ok. If I'm anything to go by you will be wandering around queasy and exhausted - isn't this fun?!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
bambino1 · 13/05/2007 21:03

If you mean wee sample - yeah I did.

cazzybabs · 13/05/2007 21:10

Yes - oh no will have to find a suitable pot AGAIN!!!

And to ansser your question no I am not going to find out sex. It seems cheating and all that arguing over names. Thought dd1 would be a girl (I was right), thought dd2 was a boy - told person doing scan at 38 weeks - how they must have laughed, even when she was born I thought she was a boy! Mind you aged 2 she does look like a prop forward! Althoguh she loves her babies and pink, but does want to be a daddy like daddy!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 13/05/2007 21:16

hey girls, anyone around?

i suddenly started bleeding today, more than before. like a period.

my head is fit to burst, im so upset, i know it might be ok but it seems like such a lot and i told my kids on friday after the scan and my darling dd (she is 7) has just come down to kiss my belly.

bambino1 · 13/05/2007 21:30

Can you call out of hours service or are you going to wait till the morning?

{{hugs}}}

Lizzer · 13/05/2007 23:27

Pecka, it is such toughy Hopefully this little one will hang on in there, try to keep positive, though I know it must be so hard....

Imawurzel · 14/05/2007 07:10

Pecka, how are you this morning? Hope all is ok now.

Nbg · 14/05/2007 07:14

Oh hec Pecka

You know things could be fine. You might be one of these women who has periods or bleeds right throughout your pregnancy.

Try and rest today if you can. Is there someone who can sort the kids out for you?

peanutbutter · 14/05/2007 08:23

oh pecka, i've just been reading up from when I last posted on Thursday and was sitting here smiling for you but now having just read your latest news i'm so so sorry you're on this awful rollercoaster. As nbg says, you are very likely just one of these women who bleed a lot throughout, but i know that will be little consolation without having more evidence that all is well . So sorry again this is happening to you.

hello everyone else. i'm relieved to see i'm not the only one who's living off carbs at the moment - i seem to be eating nothing but cheese sandwiches

beckle - was it you who said your hair's falling out? Mine is too - it's gross, cloggin up the plug hole getting me in trouble with dh! My hair's gone coarse like a scarecrows again just as it did with ds, and my GHDs just make it look like straight, coarse, scarecrows hair!!

Well i'm 9+3 now and i think the sickness is abating very slightly but i'm still soooo tired every day. Looking forward to feeling well again

Nbg · 14/05/2007 09:11

Isnt it weird what we eat to get through the sickness.

I dread to think how much weight I have put on through all the crisp eating.

BeachBunni · 14/05/2007 09:37

My god, I've been away for a week and it feels like a year with all the posts.

Hope everythings ok Pecka. The only encouraging thing is that you were bleeding before and bubba was ok. Like Nbg and peanutbutter said maybe you will be one of those people who bleed throughout. It must be so worrying for you though, esp with past history. Are you working at the minute? If you are, can you not get doctor to sign you off? Maybe take a couple of days away somewhere.

Well Spain was blistering hot. Was so worried about overheating spent most of the time in the shade - not like me at all. DP and I had thought about taking our last summer holiday away together somewhere nice and warm but I've rethought that now. May just go camping round the lake district or France.

Am so throughly depressed with my wardrobe. I have virtually nothing that fits anymore. May hit Primark or something as I don't want to spend loadsa money that could be put to better use.

Talking of food has anyone gone off meat? I'm usually such a carnivore but all I want to eat is vegetarian food, altho forcing a piece of red meat in me a week to keep iron levels up.

Scan next friday - bricking it!!

fifisworld · 14/05/2007 09:43

pecka - Hows things today? I hope you are ok.

JARM what time is your scan? Let us know how it goes

JARM · 14/05/2007 09:45

bambino1 · 14/05/2007 10:10

My goodness Pecka! Hope all turns out to be fine. Positve thinking.

Did anyone see GMtv this morning with that girls parents? I was sobbing. My dd came and gave me a huge hug which made me worse!!!

I'm living off carbs aswell and I have gone completely off all meats. I just feel like i'm getting fatter by the minute!!

Beanstermummy · 14/05/2007 10:23

Blimey - how much chat since I last was on last Thursday.

Pecka - fingers, toes and anything else I can I'll cross for you. Just keep thinking positively - ESTD I know - {{hugs}}

Beckle - with you on the falling out hair bit - my ususal long shiny dark stuff is falling out in handfulls - assited by DD who has decided that the terrible twos have started a few weeks early!!!! How to I explain a love bite on my right boob to the midwife!!

Feeling really down today - seeing the MW at 3pm which should be exciting but have just gone into one of those - eveything will have gone wrong, I don't feel PG anymore, why have I lost weight in the last week or two etc etc etc - Since I'm now 11+3 do you thing think the MW will be able to check for a heartbeat??

Anyway - trying to summon up the energy to call my boss and blag it for a while about the amount of work I have (NOT) done in the last week or two but just can't face it.

AHH - need a cheese sarnie I think!

Urgent info needed - any ideas for a 2 yr old birthday party next Sunday - hoping the weather will be good but not sure what games etc to arrange - any hints??

Later peeps

cazzybabs · 14/05/2007 10:26

Beanstermummy - I am sure you will be fine! Try not to worry. I hope you rmw puts your mind at rest.

For the boirthday party I wouldn't bother with games- I think they are too young. Get toys out and let them play. could they also do some painting?

BeachBunni · 14/05/2007 10:55

Jarm and Beanstersmummy good luck with appts today. beanstermummy - even though my clothes are tight around waist, I've lost a bit of weight as well. Wouldn't worry about it.

bambino - I know it's a terrible thing to say and I'll prob be slated for it but what the hell were they doing leaving children as young as that alone? I feel so sorry for the child but have no sympathy for the parents, although obviously wouldn't wish something like that on my worst enemy. They have well paid jobs and could have easily paid for a babysitting service. My parents NEVER left me or brother and sister. In fact they used to take turns having dinner on holidays. Even taking away the dangers from the outside children are into everything - sticking things into plug sockets, turning on cookers etc. It wasn't like they took their eyes off them for a few minutes, they made a conscious decision to leave them unsupervised in a room. Very careless and damn selfish. Ok you can all slate me now..

becklespeckledfrog · 14/05/2007 11:08

Morning all, hope everyone fine today! The sun is trying (quite unsuccessfully) to shine here, very drizzly though.
Pecka, try and stay positive hun, you've had a lot of bleeding so far and babe is hanging on in there. I have my fingers tightly crossed for you. IKWYM about your DD, we told my DSs last year and my eldest (then 6) was so disappointed when I m/c - I didn't have the heart to tell him the truth so I told him I'd made a mistake and there was no baby , he said it wasn't fair that his friend was getting a new baby and we weren't even though friend was younger than him. We haven't told them this time and won't until I get past the first trimester (with any luck). Good luck with your client today too, hope it all goes smoothly!
Beanstermum good luck with your MW appt today! A heartbeat can sometimes be picked up at your stage but they don't always like to do it as it can cause unecessary worry. It depends where the baby is because if it is very low or at the back they may not be able to find it. I think losing weight is fairly common in the first bit as baby is taking a lot from you. Hope it all goes well! With regards to party I would perhaps do a pass the parcel or maybe a lucky dip with small prizes if the children are young. Other than that, at 2 they will be happy with playing with toys and things if they are stuck indoors, balloons of all shapes and sizes for them to play with is often fun (as long as none of them are scared of them). If weather is good and they can get outside then bubbles are always good fun!
JARM - good luck with scan today!
Am glad I'm not the only one losing hair! I had been worrying about that (along with everything else). Feeling less sick than I was which is a mixed blessing. Obviously am pleased to be feeling a little better (although food still tastes awful) but it makes me worry in case I am going to m/c again. I am sooooo looking forward to getting the next scan and this awful first trimester bit out of the way!

Nbg · 14/05/2007 11:10

Beanster, deffo ask to listen to the heartbeat! I heard ds's when I was just 10 weeks, loud and clear.
Your MW may refuse as they dont like to cause undue stress in case nothing can be found but some will do it.

bambino1 · 14/05/2007 11:25

I agree with you Beachbunni. I would never in my wildest dreams have left my children. I just found it very emotional and then started to think how I would feel.

Hormones are all over the place at the mo. I sat and watch extreme makeover: home edition the other night and sobbed through that. Driving DH mad!!

MamaMaiasaura · 14/05/2007 11:28

Morning. Just logged on to see how everyone is. Keeping fingers crossed Pecka., agree with others that you might well just be one of those women who bleed throughout pregnancy.

JARM good luck with the scan today.

I am feeling sooo sick still. Need to have a big poo and cant so bet that isnt helping

Scan tomorrow, feeling excited and hoping bean has grown as last time couldnt see much at all.

becklespeckledfrog · 14/05/2007 11:34

I totally agree Beachbunni, no idea why they left children that small alone, however close they were! I do feel for the parents, they must be going through hell and knowing that they left their children vulnerable must be eating them up inside.
