I hope this works! Here is a new thread as the old one was getting v long.
I hope everyone is doing ok. If I'm anything to go by you will be wandering around queasy and exhausted - isn't this fun?!

OP posts:

Updated my due date and (sadly) made sure everyone is in due date order! Hair is still falling out in handfulls but thankfully I have quite a lot of hair (although it is fine) - roll on the glossy haired healthy glow bit of pg, even my GHD's are not giving me shine at the mo! Have been feeling very rough, slightly so in the morning but gradually getting worse through the day and evenings are awful. Not as crushingly tired as I was but hoping that's just because I am getting used to it!

MamaMaiasaura · 13/05/2007 12:56

aww Pecka - I am not very toned and i think u are a bit further along than me. Give it a few weeks and the pounds wil come back

Was sick again today - just bile really but dp bought me some mint imperials and they seem to be helping at the moment. Still feel ick but not like I am goingt o throw.

Aww beckle - sure the hair stage will stop soon and you will be positively radiently beautiful (still so chuffed for your pregnancy after seeing you on all the ttc x)

becklespeckledfrog · 13/05/2007 13:13

Not sure I'll ever quite manage radiantly beautiful Awen! Slightly less green would do me at the moment! Saw a friend of mine at the shops and was not a bit surprised she was buying pg tests, she looks just like I feel! She said the same about me too! Clothes all getting tight but in an 'how many packets of crisps have you eaten today?' kind of way!
ps thanks for being cuffed for me, I was really pleased when you got your BFP too!

Nbg · 13/05/2007 14:11

What a bummer about some of you getting the sickness But I guess its all good in a weird way lol.

Pecka, your xmas name can be

"PeckarolledoverforJoseph"

ROFL! How sad am I that I thought that up when I couldnt sleep the other night and I was physically moving from giggling that much. Dh thought I was fitting lol.

Anyhooooo
Good luck for your scan tomorrow JARM.
I have mine on tuesday and am dreading it again. I hate hospitals.

ConnieDescending · 13/05/2007 14:17

I'm about 10 weeks now and all my symptoms have gone totally. Is this ok? No scan for 3 weeks so feeling a bit weird. Nice to be able to eat properly though.

claraq · 13/05/2007 15:43

Am feeling a little hope from all the people who say their symptoms have gone/are going. I still generally feel like S**T but am now 10+3 so ever hopeful that things will start to get easier soon. My scan is a week on Tuesday - had originally been going to have a dating scan on the 24th but in the end decided to go for a private nuchal scan so was brought forward a couple of days - can only be a good thing. Anyone got any ideas how to amuse a 20 month old when it is constantly pouring with rain?

Hi all.
imawurzel 29th Dec. (i made it 27th but doc knows i guess. )
Daisyboohoo and caz10's are due on my birthday.
I am 7+3, am only feeling sick at the moment. only started last wednesday. Do have wind both ends though .

Imawurzel · 13/05/2007 16:35

Oh and this is my first.

mad4girls · 13/05/2007 16:55

hi ladies
havin a peacful afternoon just havin some cheees on toast, gettin excited as tellin his mum and dad tomrrow,

they have just bought a 7 seater last month, were really pleased as we wouldn have all been able to fit in her old one as we dont drive so we rely on his mum to take us up to hers teice a month for visits.

so was thinking of bringing the subject up like this "so got lots of space in your new car, what with it havin extra seats and that. coz we were thinking when we come up at christmas we could use another seat, if you dont mind that is" then obviuosly they will ask why or guess why and it will be revealed

what do you guys think ? does this sound ok

not sure what their reaction will be dont think they will be horrible, but maybe shocked as we both have 2 children each from previuos relationships, so maybe a little sceptical but pleased hopefully

god so nervous and excitrd at same time!!

thisisnotmyrealMNname · 13/05/2007 17:11

Like the idea of that mad4girls! I keep having imaginary conversations in my head, thinking of how I will drop it into conversation! Last time round, it seemed more of an announcement - I've said to DH that this time, once we've both agreed we're happy to tell, we should wait for a conversation when it feels right to add it in. (There have been soooo many times over the last couple of weeks when I would have loved to say that I am!)

Have our app't at the fertility clinic tomorrow for the results of the HSG x-ray (like a laparoscopy) tomorrow - I've kept the app't to get the results, but also hoping he'll use the ultrasound machine in the room to check out the little one! (Will be between 6 & 7 weeks so with luck he should see something)

Those of you who have had early scans - do you need a full bladder? Hate to sit wriggling if I don't need too!

BTW realised I'm not on the roll call as I flit between here and the New Year thread. Reckon the due date is between 31 Dec - 3 Jan

JARM · 13/05/2007 17:14

yes, i need to drink at LEAST a pint of water before mine tomorrow according to the stuff they sent me. A full bladder pushes the uterus up so the scan can pick up a clearer picture!

Nbg · 13/05/2007 17:14

lol mad4girls
i bet they'll be pleased.

thisisnotmyrealmnname, i didnt have a full bladder when i had my scan at 7 weeks but it doesnt hurt to do it. i was too nervous to drink lol.

mad4girls · 13/05/2007 17:22

thisisnotmyrealMNname-
well youl have to give us your real name before your can go on the list im afraid

yeah i would have full bladder although dont fill up till you get there if or youl be burstin, especially
if they overun as all hospital appointments do, and the woman that did mine really squashed the scanner piece in to my stomach nearly wet myself

Caz10 · 13/05/2007 18:04

I've got mine on 22nd May and the leaflet says "a comfortably full bladder" - is there such a thing?!!

Congrats to imawurzel and aaaw to being due on your birthday!! I've had 3 different due dates from doc/mw/books but that was the one I decided to stick to in my head! Guess the scan will tell more accurately?

10 weeks and still testing every week hee hee! Pleased to report today's still showed up as positive!

Hope all the sicky ladies are feeling ok. Cures I have discovered this week (the fish supper repeated on me too much later on to be a lasting success!) are: Starburst, crispbreads with cheddar, ice cubes are still brilliant, and dorrito type crispies. Oh so healthy!! Fruit is turning my stomach but still trying to force it down.

Mad4girls I think that sounds a great way to announce your news! Not a fan of formal lets all sit down announcements, they worry me!!

OP posts:
mad4girls · 13/05/2007 19:13

thanx ladie
i am a also keeping a packet of starburst in my hanndbag incase of sudden gagging urges and they seem to help it pass not strawberry though too sweet, think ill put some of my twilights in me bag instead, really craving curry tonight and dp working late so think ill order once kids get back from my mum and up to bed,

mmmmm mouth watering at the thought, i alsocraved curry for dd2, and starburst with dd1 so maybe a girl(i hope so) but here in one piece obviuosly comes first.

thisisnotmyrealMNname · 13/05/2007 19:31

Cadburys Twirls are my unhealthy stop-the-nausea food! But I feel better about eating them after something I read today - according to a Finnish study, 6 month old babies whose mums had eaten chocolate when pregnant were generally more smily and happy! (It's in the NCT Bumps and Babies magazine which you may get given by a midwife - I went to the NCTea party at Legoland today!)

thisisnotmyrealMNname · 13/05/2007 19:32

The proof you need!!!:

Eat Chocolate!!!!

MamaMaiasaura · 13/05/2007 20:06

i got my scan again on tuesday and wasnt planning on getting teh odl bladder full as thought it would be transvaginal at around 7 weeks? I remember dating scan with ds I was 8 weeks and the had to do transvaginal (I was a skinny moo then so wasnt the fat tummy in the way - I think my uterus goes the other way)

Eating loads of mint imperials now. DP making a cup of tea for me too (bless him).

DS got back from his dads very early and doesnt sound like he has had the best of weekends, poor thing. He was truely knackered and is already fast asleep.

mad4girls · 13/05/2007 20:09

glad you posted that dont feel so bad that i have eaten a whole box of twilight chocolates in 2 days, terrible isnt it going to hide away with embaressent now and become fatter as i wait for my curry tobe delivered.

Curlygirly · 13/05/2007 20:41

caz10 - starburst are great. Wouldn't normally eat them but they do get rid of the sicky feeling.

pecka -great news. I know it was few days ago but haven't been on her for a couple of days.

bambino1 · 13/05/2007 20:58

Hi all. It is so hard to keep up on this thread!!

Pecka - I'm so pleased for you! Enjoy your pregnancy!

Well my blood test came back that I don't have the slapped cheek virus in me which was a huge weight off my mind. It doesn't end there thiugh. As a child at the nursery has got it at the mo I will need to be tested again in a few weeks.

My collegue at work had her 21 wk scan on friday and she found out she is having a girl. She is over the moon!

Are you going to find out or leave it as a suprise?

cazzybabs · 13/05/2007 20:59

Don't feel sick today - he he he! Made it to church, cyled to supermarket and cooked tea (and watched some Barbie movie) [proud face].

JARM good luck tomorrow! Let us know how you get on.

I have my booking in appoitment on Wednesday - do I need to take a sample with me?
