Thanks @riddles26! It's really nice to hear a positive outcome from this situation! Have heard a few similar stories from previous mn conception posts before & hoping I can manage the same! 🤞 Certainly feel more rough earlier this time!!
Is so nice to see some familiar names from conception boards! 😊 Had the same tentative hesitation about joining yet & whether is tempting fate but is a lovely board for support & sharing with people going through the same thing!
@JLamb89 that line is amazing!! Is almost as dark as the control! I've also been wondering who to tell recently especially since the mc last time (had to tell loads of people early previously due to the holidays) but to be honest was really nice having the support when all did go wrong so will probably tell the same close friends & family as before in a couple of weeks- if all is well still! 🤞

LimpLettice · 28/01/2018 20:10

Great line JLamb. I did a second CB digi yesterday and it has gone to 2-3 right on time, which is reassuring, but I have no more sticks to pee on for now and I think that's best!

I've told bf, parents and sis - the people who were so supportive through m/c. We won't tell DP's mum til we've had a reassurance scan I don't think, but that's up to him. I've decided positive thoughts are healthier, so I'm trying to assume all will be well and forget ideas of tempting fate. Smile

Bought a soft crop top bra today as my poor chest is too sore for bras at work, and the bloating / exhaustion is pretty heavy, which I'm hoping is another good sign things are progressing.

It's so great welcoming newbies to the group! I'm also still in touch with my first antenatal group although we're all so busy now it's a bit sporadic but in the early days I would have been lost without them! Nausea properly kicking in now, DD insisting I bounce on the bouncy castle with her this morning - urgh.

I've told my 2 bff's just for sanity, I'm excited but nervous after my miscarriage last year. Physically I felt the same all 3 pregnancies (ie. sick) but emotionally, with my first I felt all blissed out and happy, with my 2nd I felt depressed almost instantly and very anxious. I feel blissed out this time so hoping that's a good sign!

ToesAndFingersCrossed · 28/01/2018 20:51

afloat same, I’m really close with my group from when I had DD in 2016, we’ve been through all sorts together, from helping with small niggles, through to raising a bunch of money when one of the babies ended up with meningitis so they could get a bunch of takeaways and not have to worry about cooking at a stressful time! We’re also in a secret Facebook group, makes it easier!

limplettice molke bras are amazing - supportive but totally soft, and great for breastfeeding in if that’s what you choose to do.

I’ve told both of our parents, and my 2 best friends... and our architect - were planning an extension and he asked if we could delay some things by 2/3 months and I had to be like... no! I’m not having a baby on a building site!

monkerina · 28/01/2018 21:15

I haven't told my husband yet!!! As toddler DS has been having a tantrummy day, there wasn't a good point to turn to him 'guess what darling, if all goes well we'll have another little angel in October!' but have told two friends who've been really supportive throughout the year-long ttc effort... Oops. If I make it past my missed period on Tues-Sat I'll tell my Feb16 antenatal group, parents if I get through a reassurance scan at 6-7 weeks and others later. With DS I only told very close people, no one else knew until I was about 36 weeks as I was so anxious after 2 previous mcs!

Trying not to compare every little niggle to my 3 previous pregnancies... It's SO tough when it's literally all you can think about, fab to have you all here going through the same things!

Kah09 · 28/01/2018 21:23

I'm going mad with googling so I just thought I'd ask some of you more experienced mumma's on here if that's OK?

I'm 4w and a few days along, however I'm feeling scratching sensations on and off throughout the day mainly in the middle part where I'd usually get period pains and nothing up high or to a certain side in particular really. Is this just the little embryo doing its thang and has anyone else had twinges/scratchy pain/sensation? TIA!

LimpLettice · 28/01/2018 21:33

Thanks Toes will look. I bf for donkeys with DD but never bothered with nursing bras, just softish old ones I could yank down. That's years ago though and could do with something new.

Few little twangs Kah but I think it's wind for me Blush ha.

Birdie963 · 28/01/2018 21:37

@kah09 I've just been googling 'is cramps at 5 weeks normal?' Haha I'm just panicking at every little thing especially as I don't feel that nauseous either.

JLamb89 · 28/01/2018 21:49

Thank you for all the responses lovely ladies !
I’m so excited but just so terrified also !!

I think I won’t tell OH’s parents until we have maybe our 12week or reassurance scan so have something to show them.
I think I may just tell my Mum tomorrow with a pregnancy test maybe or wear a Mama t shirt or just casually drop hints in the conversation until she gets it ... I just don’t know ! She has some biopsies again tomorrow and I think either before or after that it may make her feel a bit better ! With a little good news to counteract the crappy news !
What do you guys think ?

Also I’m so glad lots of you are having similar symptoms, I just didn’t expect to feel so uncomfortable all the time I guess ! 😩

Kah09 · 28/01/2018 21:51

Haha thanks@LimpLettice

@Birdie963 same!! The feeling is quite nice I suppose because something is happening and it's not cramps.. everything I google scares the life out of me though ShockConfused. My friend nodded today and seemed to agree she'd had the same sensations - I suppose we have got big things happening at a fast pace.

Keep me updated anyway! Have you seen your GP yet? I'm going to try and book an appt tomorrow I think. I feel I'm tempting fate though in making it clinically official. Is that silly?!

ladydolly · 28/01/2018 21:54

I have a 'tugging' or 'pulling' sensation, occasionally it's a little sharp. I had this with DC1 so this is normal I guess!!

The cramps really surprised me first time around, I couldn't believe how painful they were though.

Kah09 · 28/01/2018 22:10

Ah thanks @ladydolly - feeling better. Smile

Katievb · 28/01/2018 22:16

So nice to hear others are having cramps etc.. I’ve never been pregnant before so this is all new to me. Don’t think I’ve been off bloody google today haha. Xxx

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 28/01/2018 22:52

I have lots of cramps Sad In my last pregnancy they got so bad I was scanned in the EPU at 6 weeks but it was all good and and the pregnancy was textbook. They said it can be normal. My normal response would be to use a hot water bottle but I'm not sure if that's such a good idea.

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 28/01/2018 22:54

Ooo @Oakcrescent4 we're nearly the same age and both pg with #2! How old is your first? My DD is 19 months Smile

HellaBella0 · 29/01/2018 08:34

So good to hear that I’m not the only one experiencing cramps. This is my first pregnancy so really don’t know what’s normal or not. They are fairly mild compared to period pains so am guessing from what everyone else is saying it’s totally normal.

Only DH and I know at the moment. We might tell our parents in couple of weeks but think we’re going to hold off telling everyone else until after the 12 week scan. I don’t know how I’m going to hold out that long though, saw friends at the weekend and was so desperate to tell them!

CRZ1988 · 29/01/2018 09:25

Hi all, can I join?

This is baby number 1, our second cycle trying.

I did a CB on Saturday as I didnt have my normal PMS symptoms and AF was due yesterday. It had a very faint + on it. I did another CB yesterday which had a clearer + and then a FRER this morning which has a clear double line on it!

I'm very excited, hubby and I have been together for 10 years and we didnt think we wanted children until he deployed last year and its all I could think about!

I'm absolutely panicked that something is going to happen and my nausea and forgetfulness are ridiculous.

I've had a little bit of spotting but its been light brown and only when I go to the bathroom, nothing in my clothes. My tummy has been tweaking and twinging this morning!

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 29/01/2018 09:59

Ah congrats CRZ1998, I saw your post on the coming off cerelle thread :)

Kkk87 · 29/01/2018 10:11

Hi can I please join,
I got my BFP on 20th January at 3+5, I am 5 weeks today and my due date is 1st October. I'm pretty sure I have my dates correct, there's a chance I could actually be 5+2 and due 29th September but likely the 1st October ☺️ this is my 2nd pregnancy but the 1st one ended in mc at 5+5 in September so feeling very nervous that this little bean doesn't stick either buy trying my best to stay positive . Congratulations to everyone else expecting an October baby x

anxiouswaiting · 29/01/2018 10:17

Hi, can I join?

2 living children
mc at 13 weeks last Oct and 4+3 last month
due 3rd October

Trying not to get my hopes up and feeling very anxious about this pregnancy. Fingers crossed for a rainbow.

When are you all booking with midwife? I have app 13th Feb and will be 6+6 then. Also have a private scan booked for 6+5.

Katievb · 29/01/2018 10:39

Just rung the GP, they asked if I’d go down this morning and fill out a form then the midwife will ring this afternoon with an appointment for me. I’m excited but seem like I’m tempting fate! Trying to stay positive but also not get to excited! Xx

justtowarm · 29/01/2018 10:55

Hello can I join, I have had faint lines on internet cheapies for the last couple of days, but all negatives before that. I used clear blue and got 1-2weeks pregnant this morning :)

I'm struggling to work out my due day I had my Mirena coil removed 18/12/17 and did bleed on 20/12/17 for a few days afterward.I'm guessing that was a period. I got a positive ovulation test on 17/01/18. For my estimated due date Going by my period I guess 4/10 as a due date but by the opk mid October :)

I have a 2yo little boy already and hope this little bean sicks so he can be a brother :)

Congratulations on all your positives

Birdie963 · 29/01/2018 10:56

@katievb I just went to the GP and the receptionist gave me a card with a link to fill out my details online to request a midwife. It's feels surreal cause it's so early! :)
