@twobambinos fingers crossed we get an easier ride of the sickness this time round! I did no exercise in my first pregnancy as I had a long commute and was so tired. I go to classes 4 times a week so will just see how I go, will probably swap 2 of them for swimming and scale the intensity right back. I'll tell the instructor at 6 weeks I think.

junperoo · 24/01/2018 16:28

@ToesAndFingersCrossed congratulations!

junperoo · 24/01/2018 16:30

@ToesAndFingersCrossed posted too soon, sorry it seemed insensitive. I meant congratulations, great news and hope everything goes smoothly - reassurance scan in 3 weeks will hopefully put your mind at ease too x

SleepyBadger · 24/01/2018 19:33

Hi Ladies can I join please?

Got my BFP yesterday at 13dpo

EDD - 02/10/2018
Baby #3
Age 32

Only symptoms atm are mild nausea and slightly sore boobs, but nothing compared to other pregs. Lines are strong though so hoping it's a sticky bean!

afloat · 24/01/2018 20:24

Woah, got a BFP this evening.. Hard to believe! I have a 2 year old girl. No symptoms except 10 seconds of bad nausea over the weekend...

EDD 7/10/18
Baby number 2
Age 30

afloat · 24/01/2018 20:27

Krikey, I just realised that I will be going to Ethiopia this weekend and Bangkok next month for work. I really wasn't expecting our TTC efforts to work!!

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 24/01/2018 21:57

Nice to see the thread filling up! I got a bit cocky today and was looking at the baby things in Boots. AF would be due tomorrow and I'm going to do a clear blue digital because I think DP really needs it in black and white even though my lines have been strong. I've gone from naught to sixty to about twenty. Barely believing it, to taking it for granted, to sort of doubting it again.

HoneyCake86 · 25/01/2018 08:17

I have been exactly the same😂 i still keep testing 🙈

OP posts:
ladydolly · 25/01/2018 08:52

Me too honey! I've done one (or 2) every day. I just can't convince myself it's happening. I may have even ordered more yesterday. I do need to stop because i'm making myself anxious.

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 25/01/2018 08:57

Glad I'm not the only one! This is probably the most reassuring result I've seen. I think I'm going to stop now yeah right

Just a quick question...is anyone having a flu jab now they've discovered they are preg? I realise it's coming towards the end of flu season but nhs website suggests to get one. Just rung my surgery and they have run out so will have to pay for one at boots etc. Doh! 3 weeks till my booking in appt. it's horrible being out on your own for the first 12 weeks isn't it? Has anyone else booked a reassurance scan? I'm thinking of getting one as I have in other pregs X

junperoo · 25/01/2018 09:21

I've ordered more tests from Amazon because I also keep testing! 🙈

Flu jab, I did last year but that was around October time. I'm on mat leave just now so it's easier to avoid places where it's rife so I don't think I will - I'll ask midwife at booking in app I think.

HoneyCake86 · 25/01/2018 09:31

I have no money left til monday so i will have to wait til then.. i stupidly tested with another CB digi two days after the last one hoping it would have gone up to 2-3 (with my mc it was 1-2 weeks at 6 weeks so im particularly anxious about this), but obvs still 1-2. Im 4+1 today so i shouldnt really be surprised. Im my own worst enemy! I do have a reassurance scan booked in 2 1/2 weeks when ill be 6+5. EPU arent involved because they discharged me the day my new cycle began (the day my mc hcg dropped to 0) and as its a new pregnancy and no current problems they wont get involved. Ive put in my referral to antenatal though x

HoneyCake86 · 25/01/2018 09:34

Ill prob wait for the flu jab. Im supposed to have it anyway as my boys are disabled and my sister’s immune system is crap after chemo for breast cancer. But a cold/cough virus has already hit our household i dont want to overload my body with too much at once during this sensitive stage x

HoneyCake86 · 25/01/2018 09:43

Btw cos of this cold i have, i made my own ‘lemsip’ (phenylephrine has to be avoided in pregnancy which is one of lemsips primary ingredients) took a paracetamol with a hot lemon honey drink.
1 fresh lemons worth of squeezed juice + 2 generous teaspoons of clear honey stirred into boiling water. It really soothes my sore throat x

I've just booked an appointment with the midwife and the receptionist said I should book the flu vaccination after that. I'm being seen in 2 weeks which is pretty speedy!

junperoo · 25/01/2018 10:21

@SomebodysNotInBedYet that's really quick! Great news! Even though it was less than 18 months ago, I cannot remember the procedure at all. I think the date of my last period was 26th or 27th December - should I phone my GP surgery now or is it still too early? I'd only be something like 4+2, my cycle is 28 days.

LimpLettice · 25/01/2018 11:27

Hello ladies, can I jump on?

BFP Tuesday at 11dpo, puts me at 5th October. M/c plus chemical in the past year means I am so nervous.

Had terrible jetlag last week and thought it was that, until a vomiting epidode at 9dpo and nausea since. 2 strong ish lines on Frer. I then did a CB digi last night after a 2.5 hour hold which showed 1-2 weeks, so I think HCG is actually moving along nicely. AF was due today, so every single twinge is giving me the horrors, and the knicker checking is no fun. Will defo be doing a reassurance scan at 6/7 weeks.

It is 9 years since I did this (am 40) so when do I ring the midwife for booking in?

HoneyCake86 · 25/01/2018 14:16

Wow thats so quick! Where i am i had to download a self-referral form n send it by email to the antenatal clinic (the ‘earlybird’ service). It says i should get an appointment through the post within 2 weeks.

It might be different where you are though so maybe best to call your GP surgery and ask them where you need to go for it xx

HoneyCake86 · 25/01/2018 14:17

The antenatal clinic where i am takes referrals from 5 weeks

OP posts:
junperoo · 25/01/2018 14:53

Thanks @HoneyCake86 will wait for 5 weeks as ours is probably the same. Having a wee bit of light bleeding today but keeping everything crossed it's implantation bleeding. Was a bit shocked to fall first month and initially nervous about age gap but feeling very excited and hopeful now so fx!

SleepyBadger · 25/01/2018 15:30

@junperoo I'm also still on Mat leave at the minute! What will be the age gap between your little ones? If this little bean sticks and all is well 🤞there will be 17 months between my two youngest and I have an almost 4 year old too who will start school in September

I go back to work in 3 weeks...they are going to think I'm taking the piss when I tell them 🤣🙈

HoneyCake86 · 25/01/2018 16:48

I also have a 4 year old who goes full time in september. Hes more than ready though, hes so full of energy.
I had my 3 eldest close together, about 18 months apart. Then its been 5 year gap and now another 5 year gap.

I much prefer a bigger gap myself, my body has had time to regulate its cycles and recover, plus i get baby bonding and quiet time when the kids are at school. No awkward double buggies either x

OP posts:
junperoo · 25/01/2018 16:53

Fingers crossed for you too @SleepyBadger! Age gap would be 14 months I think! Oh god I know re work 🙈

twobambinos · 25/01/2018 16:57

Junpeeoo fingers crossed.

Honeycakes me too looking forward to nó double buggy this time. Actually looking forward to a nice new buggy.

I'm in Ireland so have a gp appointment whenever I book it and might not get called to the hospital until week 15/20 judging from past pregnancies. I'll def be having an early scan or two. No way could I wait that long.
