Felling a bit blurghh today. Sick of feeling a weird mix of queasy but hungry. I have no energy at all and feel like I have constant pms. Bit fed up really.

Seem to be feeling all the negative things without being able to enjoy simply knowing that I'm pregnant because of baby anxiety!

Hopefully scan on Thursday will cheer me up a bit.

ATP1000 · 03/03/2018 12:18

Hi ladies, so I’ve had a bit of a rough ride the last 36 hours. Collapsed yesterday with a twisted ovary of all things. They thought it was ectopic at first but thankfully not. The pain was unbelievable. I was on low dose morphine, apparently this is ok for the baby. Had surgery last night and pain gone, ovary saved and saw a heartbeat this morning at 6+3, turns out baby is a fighter! And my ovary is quite the drama queen!
Was my corpus luteum twisting my ovary round.
Am recovering now due home today all being well. Very glad to see the heartbeat ☺️ And utterly exhausted now!

@ATP1000 that sounds like the most scary couple of days! I'm glad you are able to rest at home now and that you got to see the babies heartbeat. I hope everyone is running around after you?

twobambinos · 03/03/2018 15:21

@ATP1000 you poor thing. What an ordeal. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here on in.

@biscay the scan won't be long coming now that will be lovely.

I too feel horrible all the time. I'm surviving on cans of Coe well maybe one a day for any bit of energy seems like nothing wants to agree with me at the moment. Hoping it moves on at 12 weeks so only two weeks to go but not overly optimistic about that.

booandbumpp · 03/03/2018 16:35

Hello! I am jumping on this bus!
I'm currently 6w+3. I've had a previous MC at 9w+ so I'm very nervous this time round. I had a scan as suspected ectopic at 5w 6days and they saw the gestation sac but no yolk sac or fetal pole which has put me on edge a bit. I have another scan on Monday and I'm crossing my fingers it's progressed and we hopefully see everything is ok!
Cramps have gone, but nausea has started with a vengeance which is nerve wracking as previously had HG and ended up in hospital.
Who said pregnancy was a nice time because I want to have words!! I'm more anxious than ever!!
If all is ok my due date is 26th October!

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 03/03/2018 17:01

@ATP1000 goodness! Hope you're feeling better now. Glad you got to see a heartbeat. How lovely!

DwangelaForever · 03/03/2018 20:51

@ATP1000 glad your ok 💖 I had a twisted ovary as a teen it was horrendous x

lucindaanna · 03/03/2018 21:16

@ATP poor you! That must have been really scary, but sounds like you've been very lucky :) hope you're completely better soon

EmmaPea · 03/03/2018 21:40

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to join the October bandwagon. I'm 5 weeks 3 days, due on Halloween!
I'm very nervous & trying really hard not to get my hopes up as it's so early & I won't be able to relax until 20 week anomaly scan.
Last November I had a TFMR at 14 weeks (1st pregnancy) and now every horror story I come across I can't help thinking it will happen in this pregnancy.
I am trying so so hard to stay positive & take one day at a time.
I was meant to see the Dr on Fri but the snow had other ideas! Hoping to see them ASAP next week.
Anyway, looking forward to everyone's updates and joining in.
Emma

Thank you for all the lovely messages! I got home last night, woke up this morning feeling horrendous, morning sickness plus surgery is something! But I’ve stabilised quite quickly so that’s a good start!
It’s good to hear about the scans coming up, good luck @biscay! It’s really nice to see anything really, mine was just a little flicker but that was still good.
@peanut91 how are you getting on post surgery?

Peanut91 · 04/03/2018 09:34

ATP1000 - I am getting there. My ribs on the whole feel ok but get a bit sore in the evening. I managed to get a bra on for the first time this week (incision was right where the band sits) but after a couple of wears it has aggrivated my scar a bit. Only another 10 days before I can start driving again (thank god!) And back for a check up at the hospital in 2 weeks.

I had an early scan yesterday and all was well Grin. Baby has strong heartbeat so fingers crossed that it hasnt been affected by what I have gone through

@ATP1000 - what a terrifying experience that must have been. Glad to hear you are recovering ok.

@betsy2018, I have been wondering how you are since your last post?

My patience is so shot at the moment - snapping at everyone and everything and just want to sleep!

bearhuggy · 04/03/2018 13:51

Hi all, happy Sunday. Seems there has been lots going on since I was last on here and welcome to all the new joiners

@ATP100 gosh you poor poor thing, sounds like you've really been through it, hoping you feel better very soon and are on the road to recovery Flowers

I've been stuck in bed with a sickness bug since Wed...not the one on top of morning sickness and general 1st trimester fatigue, luckily am feeling better today and managed to make it out of the house for brunch, so hopefully onwards and upwards now!

Wanted to ask if any second time mums on here have thought about doing antenatal classes this time round? I did a lovely active birth and hyno group with my first and made some great friends who I am still close with now 18 months on, but wondering what you do second time around and if its a thing!? Obviously don't need to learn any of the birth stuff again so not sure!

betsy2018 · 04/03/2018 15:36

@2ndPGchimp ended up at urgent care first thing yesterday am, one plus was due to the weather was empty! saw the on call GP he did a pregnancy test....positive (I don't think this means anything though as if something bad was happening still would be high on hormones) and he seemed the think all was quite normal when explaining what had been going on. Still he booked me for a scan on Tuesday, I have already had early scan seen heart beat ect. I felt re assured at the time but now I can't help but think the worst, it's so unlike me but I can't shake something bad is happening.

Thank you for asking : )

HannahCM · 05/03/2018 09:45

Hello all I'm jumping on the October bus too. I'm currently 6w4d and really starting to feel nauseous and bloated.

I notice lots of you are having early scans. Is this because of previous problems or is it standard for most women to have an early scan? I still haven't heard anything from my hospital about booking the scan and I was referred 2 weeks ago.

booandbumpp · 05/03/2018 10:03

@HannahCM I had an early scan because they suspected it was ectopic (thankfully they were wrong). If you're in the UK usually your first scan is at 12 weeks which is your dating scan. If you want an early scan for no medical reason then you'd have to pay privately!
Congratulations x

twobambinos · 05/03/2018 12:28

Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations. Glad to see so many of us counting together.

Peanut god you had an awful tough start too hope the ribs are on the mend. Nice to see the baby in the scan.

Hannah i had an early scan because I'm just anxious. I paid private for it. No certainty on when the hospital will call me for my scan as I'm not in the UK so it could be 18 weeks or more as with dd2. I will probably book another scan for around the 13 weeks mark before we start telling people if I haven't heard from the hospital by then. 11 weeks Thursday so I suppose I'd want to be booking it wouldn't I.

HannahCM · 05/03/2018 13:31

@booandbumpp and @twobambinos that makes sense maybe I'll look into the private scan in a few weeks. Good luck with your upcoming scans!

Unicornchaser · 05/03/2018 15:54

Re @HannahCM question on the scan, do you not get some kind of heart beat trace at your booking app or has my doctor just confused me? I was relying on my booking app at 9 weeks to reassure me everything is as it should be?

Also, anyone else just want to eat EVERYTHING all the time at 5/6 weeks? I can't stop! Trying to be good with fruit and carrots but it's all I'm thinking about 😩

EffRam · 05/03/2018 16:16

@ATP1000 sorry to hear about your ordeal, glad the baby is ok and hope you're on the mend!

@Unicornchaser I am 6+3 and since 5 weeks, possibly before, my appetite has been ridiculous... I have two lunches and hoover up everything in front of me!

Unicornchaser · 05/03/2018 16:27

It's terrible! I have to laugh at myself for the 'only need around 200 cals extra and only in the last trimester'
