These just arrived, got them on amazon. So far they’re good, my nausea reduces in the evening so tomorrow will be the true test.

My oh is also possibly more anxious than me. He said this evening that he's worried I dont have that many symptoms Angryi told him to try living in my body.

I constantly smell bad things urgh it's driving me crazy. There was a sick kid at work today and I nearly vommed myself.

OH also said 'do you think we can do this?' And that was a real hit home moment of ack!!! This is freaking happening!

I do feel small waves of nausea, but its mostly a fullness, bloaty sensation (with much gas and constipation). But I am not generally a sick person. I haven't actually been sick since I was 15 (14 years!) so I don't know if my lack of severe morning sickness is normal for me. Bah. I just wish I knew if little squishy was growing right in there!

Peanut91 · 01/03/2018 22:36

@Tappitytaptap I have also had a wierd taste in my mouth now for weeks. It is horrid and I am hoping it will go when the morning sickness stops

midgetjen · 02/03/2018 10:10

@anban I have the other problem here - despite 2 previous miscarriages, I feel like my OH is just too chilled for words about this pregnancy - he's driving me mad!

Despite saying I have few symptoms, I think I am going to have to ditch my underwired bras soon - they're getting a bit painful at the sides! Has anyone found anything comfy that they would recommend?

Also, did i read there was a fb group, or have I imagined it?

9 weeks today for me... Got my booking in appointment with midwife on Monday. Anyone got any remedies for trapped wind 😩 had the worst belly ache because of it last night xx

BridgeFarmKefir · 02/03/2018 11:32

Jumping on the wagon! 8+2. First appointment on Monday - one of those group sessions, which just sounds like an info dump. Bit odd, but I'm sure I'll learn something useful, and I guess it's not very efficient to meet women individually to say 'take folic acid, and here's a load of leaflets'.

Bit anxious as it doesn't feel very real, and like many am imagining going to my 12-week scan to get bad news. However, symptoms are there. A new one is a wave of nausea at 11am exactly every day (to accompany constant low-level nausea). Fun!

Hope everyone is feeling good Smile

justtowarm · 02/03/2018 12:14

I Was supposed to have my booking appointment today 8 weeks and a day or two. I can't get there because of the snow (I'm very rural) so it's rearranged for next week. I feel a bit disappointed I want the appointment to happen so it all feels a bit more real and so I get the date for my scan so I can work it around work 🙈

justtowarm · 02/03/2018 12:16

@BridgeFarmKefir I also get waves of nausea at the same times each day. Helps to plan my day 😂

BridgeFarmKefir · 02/03/2018 12:28

@justtowarm Yeah - at least I can plan to be in the loo when it happens now!

swoophigh · 02/03/2018 12:37

Hi All,
Wondered if I could join you all!
I'm pregnant (9wks) for the first time....totally unplanned and not great timing. New partner/ just moved out of London for work in a new job which is in a really rural location. So I'm away from my friends and trying to figure out a new stressful job whilst figuring out being pregnant with a terrified man (one minute he seems genuinely happy and is so so sweet/ the other he looks petrified). Also I discovered that the new job doesn't nothing in the way of maternity pay so things are going to be very tight come October!
My head is all over but for now things seem to be going okay. The midwives out here seem to be really stretched and so can't one of them for another few weeks, just a few days before my first scan.....which seems crazy!
x

I have an early scan tomorrow morning which i am starting to get nervous about. I just want everything to be ok

2ndPGchimp · 02/03/2018 16:19

Hello all, hope you are all surviving the snow! I have been working from home since Tuesday afternoon due to my son's nursery shorter opening hours and bad trains - it has been something of a relief not to have to pretend to feel fine or squeeze into uncomfortable clothes! I work with loads of women who would definitely notice if I cracked out the maternity trousers! I am finding eating small bland things often is helping - and orange and lime tictacs are helping too when I can't stuff in another rich tea.
I had my booking in appointment today which makes it feel more real, but scan still a whole month away!
They have changed it all since I was last PG 4 years ago - also learnt something new today that having polycystic ovaries makes diabetes risk higher so they do glucose test at booking in bloods.

I. Can't. Stop. Eating.

betsy2018 · 02/03/2018 16:47

Had my booking in too this morning definitely feels more real now scan should be in three weeks however this afternoon had the usual period type pains and then went to the loo and discharge had a brown tinge to it (sorry tmi) I haven't had any spotting at all so far which I know can be normal, there wasn't much and was only when wiped been to toilet twice since and back to normal. Can't really get to the hospital as the snow is just awful here.... I don't even know if it would be worth me going? May see how I am tomorrow. I'm 9+2 according to LMP and 8 according to early scan.

Ah also I mentioned the early scan as discussed as as a few people said she didn't want to know, still going off LMP date

I’m really struggling. Constant nausea and just exhausted. I’ve got to go away with work tomorrow for 4 days and I just can’t find the energy to pack. I don’t know how I’m going to get through it!

Kitty610 · 02/03/2018 17:41

My sickness has been awful this time round - all day nausea and throwing up a few times a day. I ended up going to the doctors because I felt like I couldn’t get through a working day and I got prescribed some motion sickness pills which have changed my life!! Haven’t thrown up since and barely any nausea at all. Go speak to them if you’re struggling.

Oh I wish I’d gone to the docs today, now I’m away I’m going to have to struggle through until Wednesday. I just keep breaking down in tears a thinking I can’t do this :(

Kitty610 · 02/03/2018 19:02

It’s called Cyclizine Hydrochloride, think it’s quite a common one to take as a couple of my NCT friends took it last time round and recommended it to me so seems very low risk.

Ah thanks @milknosugar that brought a tear to my eye. I guess no one else can sympathise because they don’t know! So thanks for your kind words. I’m leaving on a train at 7.30am so no chance to go to a pharmacy. I’ll see if I can find one once I’m there....I doubt it though.
Don’t want to give much away in case it’s using but I’m in a place where you can’t really leave during the day and not near any shops in the evening. This is going to be brutal!

lucindaanna · 02/03/2018 23:36

@milknosugar1 thank you - good to know! I used to eat chia seeds years ago but had forgotten about them - will get some today :)

lucindaanna · 02/03/2018 23:40

@swoophigh all sounds a bit stressful for you but I'm sure things will work out and you will be just fine! It's good to talk on here anyway. I'm also expecting to move to a new area over summer so will have to make new friends!
