September 2018.... still trying to believe it's a BFP

Starting a thread with cautious optimism, BFP on Christmas Eve and again today (on ic, first response and CB digital Blush) If all goes well EDD 3 Sept. this will be DC2 for us, DS is 13 months and completely shocked as this was first month TTC when last time took 6 months. Hope to have some company here soon Grin

Who would have thought that vomit could bring so much joy?! 😂

I didn't really suffer with sickness with DD (other than around 34 weeks where she used to like kicking me in the stomach and making me puke instantly) so am hoping for a morning sickness free pregnancy this time around too!

SantaBaby1 · 09/01/2018 07:10

I wish I hadnt found out so early because it’s just overanalysing, I’d quite like to be one of those people who finds out when they’re 12 weeks+ haha (obviously I’d still take all the vitamins etc). I’m so paranoid I’m going to lose this wee one. I was really emotional last night and have woken up this morning and my boobs are a bit less sore so obviously I’m assuming the worst (yes I know I’m an idiot!). I’ve ditched my Fitbit for the time being because I couldn’t hack the RHR anxiety any more and I think I’m just going to need to try and stay positive until the private scan I booked... on 21 January which seems so far away still!

CuppaSarah · 09/01/2018 07:14

I like your dds sense of humour Shutthefridgeup Grin

santababy the anxiety can be crushing, especially as pregnancy is so all encompassing. Once you can feel kicks you'll feel so much better I promise. Bonfire night was about 8 weeks ago, but it doesn't feel that long ago. We just have to get through the same amount of time again and we're in the safe zone!

Paranormalbouquet · 09/01/2018 07:21

Cuppa I’ve woken up very nauseous and gagged brushing my teeth. How I’m going to cope with tube I don’t know. Had only a few days of nausea with DD- very intermittently. Santa I’ve got the RHR anxiety too. My symptoms come and go over hours. I think it’s normal!

Anyone else in London?

Fia256 · 09/01/2018 07:23

That's great about the sickness @CuppaSarah! I felt like I was going to throw up briefly while eating my breakfast this morning, and that's always how my morning sickness starts off so I'm also feeling pretty pleased today!

Congrats and welcome @BaliBound

needahugbug · 09/01/2018 07:52

@Paranormalbouquet hiya and congrats I’m south West London xx

Paranormalbouquet · 09/01/2018 08:15

Waves at needsahug! I’m the opposite side of London. Do you commute? I’m on northern line and it’s always packed. When the nausea kicks in it’s awful but think it’s too early for a baby on board badge at 6 weeks (would probably leave it on for work accidentally!).

kirinm · 09/01/2018 09:44

I had my follow up scan today. One little embryo and the flickers of a heartbeat. Measuring bang on for my dates.

Paranormalbouquet · 09/01/2018 09:45

Oh that’s fantastic news Kirin, I’ve been thinking about you. How far along are you? I’m 6+4 by LMP but think I’m actually 2-3 days less than that.

kirinm · 09/01/2018 09:45

I went in already believing I had miscarried. I'm in shock.

kirinm · 09/01/2018 09:46

@Paranormalbouquet only 5w4d and she told me before the scan that she wasn't expecting to see much and certainly not the beginnings of a heartbeat

Flybynight1 · 09/01/2018 09:53

kirinm that is absolutely fantastic news! Hang in there little bean, she's a sticky one Grin are you still bleeding?

MonaTheMoaner · 09/01/2018 09:56

Oh kirinm I am so so over the moon for you! That is amazing news!!

twiggy123 · 09/01/2018 09:57

Fab news Kirinm

kirinm · 09/01/2018 09:58

@Flybynight1 not at the moment. The spotting stopped on Sunday night. Fingers crossed it stays away. I have been having horrible backache and cramps though which I thought was a sure sign of a miscarriage but they must be normal!

I think you can all ignore your fitbits. My RHR has been dropping everyday and I was sure that was another sign.

CuppaSarah · 09/01/2018 10:04

Oh my god Kirin I am so so so thrilled for you!!! I wish I could reach through my phone and hug you. Fx that spotting stays away for you!!

kirinm · 09/01/2018 10:29

Thank you @CuppaSarah I'm now looking forward to morning sickness!

LostMyBaubles · 09/01/2018 10:32

Kirin so happy for you!!!!

Fia256 · 09/01/2018 10:37

Aww @kirinm that's fantastic news!

Paranormalbouquet · 09/01/2018 10:41

@kirin I’ve realised my RHR fluctuates depending on how much sleep I’ve had and how nauseous I’ve been. I’ve had a lot of cramping this time, more than with DD.

Nausea has been coming and going all morning. Nibbling on salted sesame seeds and drinking flat ginger lemonade. Was very bad on tube so was thankfully given a seat. In late today for a meeting so planning to check out m+s treggings this afternoon and a few floaty tops. Is anyone else really bloated? I could do with losing some weight but haven’t put on any since Xmas so it’s proper bloat!

blondie1001 · 09/01/2018 10:42

@kirinm that's amazing news - so happy for you xxx

kirinm · 09/01/2018 10:44

@Paranormalbouquet I used to travel in on the northern line from Brixton to the city and it was horrific without being pregnant. It must be awful with sickness.

muffyduffster · 09/01/2018 11:08

Ahh you've a tenacious one there hopefully kirin!
Great news.

SantaBaby1 · 09/01/2018 11:17

Kirin that’s amazing news, so pleased to hear it!

littlepooch · 09/01/2018 11:22

Great news kirin!

Oh god the tube when feeling sick- not good
Thankfully I'm still on maternity leave so not commuting into the city but I remember it well from my elder two- I used to have to get off the tube to be sick and then get back on again. The joy.
