@harrietm87 I'm 35+4 today, so sounds like on a par with yours. He was only just below the 50th percentile line so I'm not worried at all. Plus, as my mum says, if that's how big he is now, that's a lot bigger than I was when I was born!

MrsDishavingaB · 26/03/2018 14:33

Ah trigs that's not too bad, v similar weight to what my LO was at that week. At 38 week scan he'd had a growth spurt to 7lbs.

I'm currently in the pathology clinic waiting to get my bloods taken for Wednesday. Getting scarily close now!! Question for the ladies who've had sections before...am I allowed painted nails? I've just spent the morning/early afternoon chilling out giving myself a manicure and my sister said I might have to remove it ☹️ I just spent so long doing it lol I hope I don't have to remove it!

@rosegarden45 I'm glad your friends agree with you about midwife and shame you've got such a dud, unnecessarily adds to the stress. Hopefully you get a better one for your last few appointments! At least the odds of her being on duty at the hospital when you deliver are quite low 🙂

FairfaxAikman · 26/03/2018 14:44

I've developed a small subcutaneous lump on the upper left quadrant of bump. Its about quarter of an inch across. It's sore when bending over and occasionally to the touch. Is that normal?

boatrace30 · 26/03/2018 14:54

@MrsDishavingaB - I had painted toenails last time and that wasn't an issue. But I did read that some places don't allow nail varnish, can't quite understand why!
@FairfaxAikman - could it be a hernia? I had one in my last pregnancy near my belly button. It sorted itself out after the baby was born

rosegarden45 · 26/03/2018 16:02

@mrsD nail varnish can affect the oxygen saturation monitor. They might ask you to take it off one nail so they can get a proper reading. Although they might be fine with you keeping it on. Normally for planned surgery nail varnish and jewellery has to be removed.

DaisyLand · 26/03/2018 17:39

I was told that as long a one of my nails didn’t have any varnish it’d be fine as they’d put the monitor on that fingernail. Unluckily I always lose one varnish quite quickly as that’s the finger I used the most when typing at work so right now I’m ready for monitoring :)

I finally started nesting yesterday.. that included blitzing my dining room (to the point when MIL came over, we realised it echoed!)
Bleaching kitchen cupboards

I was on my hands and knees when cleaning the kitchen and dining room floor - that's what I'm regretting right now.

My sciatic nerve is very painful today and DH said I sounded like I was in pain when I was asleep last night. He actually woke me up at 4 to ask if I was okay!

My lovely MIL has taken over school runs so I don't need to worry about that today. I will be having a shower and then going back to bed for a little while!

pinkflamingo121318 · 27/03/2018 08:52

I text my midwife yesterday asking when they do a sweep.. she said not until 41 weeks with babies after the first!

Which means if he doesn't come by 12th April.. that's when I'll finally get a sweep! My children go back to school on 17th April and we have a photo shoot booked for 16th!

So badly hoping he comes before then!! Actual due date is 7th, but midwives have appointments on a Thursday so I assume I'd have to have it 2 days early.

boatrace30 · 27/03/2018 21:39
