Still can't sleep lol

Got it a week early af was due 30th

Alsooooo been feeling very sick and now have lots of heart burn

@badb I've also just been given more responsibilities and am being trained up for a new role. It's pretty difficult having to use your brain to learn new things when you're tired and feel sick and can barely remember the old things! You shouldn't feel bad though, you can rarely plan for timing with these things x

ha ha ~@DuchessofStBridget - can relate to the caffeine rations! I'm sure my one cup comes close to the 200mg too - I like it strong. Well done for saving yours! I'm quite enjoying one of the Yogi Teas as a substitute - it's really strong-tasting, spicy and gingery.

@badb I am also dreading telling my work. I only came back from maternity leave 3 months ago! I know they'll be nice about it but I feel guilty. I wasn't expecting us to conceive first time. It was not like that with our first!

I'm dreading telling work too - I only started 3 months ago taking on work from some people who are retiring so it'll probably leave them a bit short. I'm hoping no one works it out before I'm ready to tell them. I'm so hormonal at the moment and grumpy so need to work on that! So tired as I'm feeling almost pathologically exhausted anyway then up with toddler overnight and going out this evening. Just looking forward to bed time!

@SmashyCup I'm dreading telling work as I'm still on maternity leave and will prob end up doing back to back mat leave. Plus I only worked there for 8 months before going on mat leave. I'd arranged a meeting for tomorrow to discuss starting back next June so am keeping the meeting but just having a different discussion. 😳

So I don’t think you legally have to tell work until you’re 26 weeks? I don’t think I will be telling them for a while!

Anyone else having weight gain/bloating issues already?! I swear I can’t do up my jeans anymore! I’m 5 weeks :(

I'm glad I went back from mat leave early now, otherwise I'd be in a similar position. Wasn't happy about it at the time though!

@Babydreaming yep lots of bloating here too. Grim.

Work were aware of our IVF so luckily are very happy for us and know already (We are both same council employed but different sectors).

Anyone else got bright yellow wee from the folic acid and vitamin supplement? Or just me

@SpriteGirl how exciting! Have you got a early scan booked in? I'm hoping they don't tell me I'm 4 or 5 weeks pregnant next week. It's killing me getting to the 12 weeks I'm so impatient lol

How many weeks roughly does MS kick in? When I saw the Dr she asked if I was feeling ill but when I said my dates she said I was a little early. I'm 5 weeks.
I feel nauseous before it's time to eat, during and after. Breakfast is the worst I want to gag while eating. But not been sick.

This tiredness is a real killer for me.

@Hana327 mine started pretty much as I hit 6 weeks and I've had it for about a week so far. Everyone is different but what ha worked for me is making sure I have breakfast (I don't usually and it is a struggle, especially those first few bites!) and then I graze all day. I made a sandwich last 2 hours the other day lol! I still feel a bit nauseous but not as bad as I did.

Also have emergency ginger biccies in my handbag haha!! They help though :-)

Got my BFP today at 10dpo!

@Subo2018 it is exciting isn't it! I did think about having an early scan so I could be confident about telling family over Christmas (we're staying with family and they'll know from the not drinking) but I was worried it was just a bit too early to scan and it might cause me anxiety instead of reassurance so I've left it for now. But I'm sure yours will be great and very exciting and I'm looking forward to hearing about it. These first few weeks seem so long!

@RiverRose yeah I had bright yellow pee although only once or twice but obviously I take the vitamins all the time?!

@Hana327 my doctor told me about 6 weeks. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and today I have felt pretty sick.

Thanks @SpriteGirl and @amzq87. Just in time for Christmas for me then. I have a friend who is further on in her pregnancy and she hasn't had any sickness! So it shows how different people can be. Who knows what will happen. I will have to wait and see.

I'm just over 6 weeks now and feeling pretty nauseous today. Not terrible yet but definit nausea. The last 3 days the only things I've wanted to eat have been "beige" or junk foods as well - which is another sign I'm not feeling right!

My boss knows already as she will be doing my scan on wednesday..i asked if she can do it before 9am so i get spottes by as few colleages as poss.

In other news...my poor tum is in a terrible state. In my last pregI had progesterone pessaries and remember having my ibs flare up massively but a poorly digestion were a side effect of the pessaries so i blamed them. Not using them this time and still got bad stomach so must be how my body reacts to early preg.

Morning all. Last early get up this week for me. Looking forward to a relaxing weekend (of Christmas wrapping!!). DH is home tonight so that should allow me to rest a little.

How is everyone feeling? I’m still very much swinging from ‘everything is ok’ to ‘I’m going to start bleeding any minute’.

5 weeks today. Couldn’t hold off doing the last CB digi (and I know they’re inaccurate) but luckily, I got a 3+. No most testing for me and still just over two weeks before the scan. Mc rate drops significantly after seeing a hb but I’m not sure when to tell DC. Part of me thinks ‘miscarriage is part of life’ and they’re old enough to understand (junior school and high school) but DH still thinks they shouldn’t have to deal with it if it goes wrong. When will others tell their DC?

Hi can I join? Got my bfp last night! Number 2, feels different this time around, trying not to overthink or get too excited...before dd was born I had recurrent miscarriage so pregnancy was a really anxious time really hoping I can be more relaxed this time! I had to have progesterone pessaries last time but not sure what will happen this time around, I have an appointment with my consultant on 3rd Jan which I made so we could ask these questions as we were ttc...didn't expect it to happen so soon I may have to ring her Secretary. Feeling crampy and nauseous I had a big bleed about 10 days ago which I'm now assuming was implantation! Had a little bit of spotting last night after straining but that was before I got the bfp so thought nothing of it at the time. Fingers crossed!

@butterfly86 congratulations! Welcome to the thread. Hopefully this time round it’ll be a smooth journey. I’ve also had 2 miscarriages so understand the 1st trimester anxiety!

@whichoneisit congratulations!! I also got my 3+ this morning :) They take ages to decide and the wait was killing me! I think I’m 5w2d. I’m actually going to have an early scan next Friday week! They go by LMP so they said Ill then be 6w5d (I think Ill be 6w2d) so they said it should be fine to scan. There’s a chance that they won’t see HB yet though.

My little boy is 12 months so I don’t have to worry about telling him haha! He will just grow up with me having a bump and not really understand. I think it’s totally up to you though and when you feel comfortable. I think as long as you think they would be okay if things went wrong then you can tell them?

Congratulations butterfly. Plenty of us here who are feeling anxious after previous miscarriages so you’ll be well supported, I’m sure.

Welcome to all the newcomers and congratulations @Whichoneisit my DD asked me if I'm pregnant because I've been so ill so I just told her I was. I'm 7 weeks.

Has anybody else lost their appetite? I'm not feeling nauseous, just not particularly hungry!

How did she react sirius? How old is she?

She's 9 but will be 10 soon. She reacted okay, said she won't be babysitting when she is older . She's been an only child for so long, my DP and his DD have recently moved in with us so I think it's just a lot happening at once.
