Ha ha scootermum - my norks put Katie Price's in the shade!!!!

I reckon there will be some famous mums on Mumsnet - I know the writer Fiona Gibson used to post here and someone on another thread saif Caitlin Moran was a poster - not that they are zelebs or anything. I bet there are some celeb mums who need to use somewhere like Mumsnet for advice etc.

I didn't read Heat about Charlotte Church but she was in one of the others, she is having a lovely holiday in Thailand, they estimated it was costing £100,000 although how they worked that out I don't know, eating tons of amazing food. She is probably going to put on quite a lot as she has the propensity to put on weight - at least she's normal! Also Myleene Klass looks quite big for four months as well.

scootermum · 18/04/2007 15:57

I wish I was having a lovely holiday in Thailand..She has gone with Gavins sister which is nice I think-keeps it in the family..
Speaking of Gareth Gates, did anyone see that documentary about him on Sunday..That boy creeps me out entirely for some reason-was always a Will young girl all the way..

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 15:58

Pep talk for Scoot (with pom poms and flair): Come on lady, you can do it, only two days.

No dd won't have to deliver the baby I'm sure (you can't see my crossed fingers can you?). Can't imagine that at 16 months. "No DD over here, stop feeding things into the DVD, no you can't have a drink, look I'm having a baby here, I know you're hungry, please come over here and help". Nah, don't think she has the attention span!

Good news about the bp/protein etc ITS.

So, bets are that SkyTV will pop next. I think LG&T's next on the list. Then () Scoot and TYG on the same day!

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 15:59

GG makes my skin crawl and I don't know why. I have to admit although I'm a complete folkie I love Will Young's voice. Such a natural.

scootermum · 18/04/2007 16:03

Dont do the splits FGS SOH-that will do your plug no good at all!

Oh the horror of having only DD as a birthing partner..She would just pull my hair I think for a bit then get bored and chuck herself on the floor and scream bloody murder..Im going to tell him he cant go..

Right am going to work now solidly for at least 2 hours...I am!!!After ive eaten this last biscuit..

I think maybe SKYTV next, but the smart monies still on you SOH particularly if you carry on doing things with pom poms!

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 16:13

Give me an S, Give me a C, Give me an O

Give me a biscuit.

Share and share alike.

I'm going to 42 weeks.

InTheseShoes · 18/04/2007 16:19

If ScoobyDoo or The Land Before Time were on the TV I could give birth right in front of ds without him even noticing, never mind him wiping my brow or telling me to
"push Mummy".

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 16:27

I could do the same in front of DH if the triathlon was on.

MKG · 18/04/2007 16:41

Hey all

Glad to here that eveyone is doing well. I'm excited to have an ultrasound and appointment to go to tomorrow. I can't wait to see my little soccer player. Oops sorry "football"

SKYTVADDICT · 18/04/2007 16:48

I've decided I'm going to 42 weeks and having a 10lber - that way anything else is a bonus. LOL!!

Just remembered something from consultant appointment yesterday - a junior Dr tried to feel and said she didn't think it was engaged then consultant got hold of me and said "you have to move the extra padding (meaning the flappy bit!) and then you can feel it is engaged" - cheeky bleeder!)

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 16:49

Uh oh.

Period type pains coming in waves, back ache, pressure. Not good... I have to wait 1 bloody week for a homebirth.

Can you all just tell Mathilda in your best, stern motherly voices that IT IS NOT TIME!

scootermum · 18/04/2007 17:31

SOH I told you to stop jigging about doing the splits!!

Hang on in there Mathilda!!

(the triathalon isnt on now is it?!Tell him to keep half an eye on you just in case!)

Good luck tomorrow with your scan MKG..will be cool to see your little David Beckham-and if you dont know who that is now, then you soon will!

I managed an hour and a quarters solid work then went and lifted a fallen customer in the car park whom I spied from my office..(I used a hoist like a good pg lady should!)

Not allowing self to go home till have at least got the evidence for NVQ-that will only leave me office tidying tomorrow, handover email to write, 2 reports to finish and send and a not so secret goodbye party to attend!

scootermum · 18/04/2007 17:32

Really-you arent in labour for real are you?!

scootermum · 18/04/2007 17:33

I would have put in a formal complaint SKY.How rude!!

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 18:12

I don't know what's happening. Enormous pressure and waves of period pains- it's similar to what happened last week but without the show and less regular. Sorry for the far tmi but I feel like I need the loo and I know I don't. I can't spend 4 weeks like this.

I'm home now so I think paracetamol and warm bath and everything crossed.

I just know they're having a leaving party for me on Friday and I'm dreading it. They'll all get tipsy and expect me to make a speech. They do provide great cakes though and we can have the afternoon off but it's so embarrassing.

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 18:41

Interesting development: with every wave of pain, I leak colostrum.

WTF is happening?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 18/04/2007 18:43

LOL You lot crack me up, SOH you are on form today making me chuckle out loud.

Glad everyone is doing OK. Good news on the monitoring InTS.

Scoot anytime you want Petit Coeur biscuits I will happily send you a few packs, P&P is really not too bad from here and biscuits are very light. BUT, they do about 30 different types so e-mail me with the ones you like. cathalix2004 at hotmail dot co dot uk

SOH Well is it really labour??????????????????? wot do ya reckon, anything more? I bet it is, Oh but I would so like you to get your wanted home birth so I hope not until next week, stay put Mathilda.

Off for some tea now and then a rest, my back is going to explode, it is so sore.

OP posts:
Mrsjaffabiffa · 18/04/2007 18:44

SOH, are you really serious??????

Have you started timing these waves of pain?

OP posts:
cameroonmama · 18/04/2007 18:54

Just got back home from a 4 year olds birthday party to find SOH in labour! What excitement!

Have you taken some paracetamol now? How about a bath, that should help?

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 18:54

Sure it's nowt. Just a big aching, contracting, leaking water buffalo huffing and puffing round the room in a most unattractive fashion. I am not having a baby today. It's an even day, I'm giving birth on an odd day. I'll wait until tomorrow.

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 18:55

Don't go getting excited cameroonmama, I did this last week and managed to stop it. Might canoe up to the shops and buy some gingerbread, that'll help.

cameroonmama · 18/04/2007 18:57

Deffo sounds like the real thing, you could start tonight and finish tomorrow or you could even eek it out until the 21st if you are really unlucky

ShowOfHands · 18/04/2007 19:00

You are wrong. I ate a dodgy apricot earlier and it's caused a slight tummy ache. I'm due in MAY. I'm waiting until MAY. Do you hear me baby?

cameroonmama · 18/04/2007 19:06

Listen if Mathilda is destined to be an Aries , then she will never do what you want her to and will come before the 21st, whether you like it or not, whereas as a good Taurean, she will always do what anyone in authority says she should.. so what do you reckon Aries or Taurus?

Mrsjaffabiffa · 18/04/2007 19:09

The obvious choice is a Taurean, common, there are no arguments even worth giving on that one.

Noooooooooooo canoeing, with wet pants anyway, you wouldn't know if your waters went.
