There’s an actual (single!) baby in there. Happy its all healthy but come home to a over tired toddler and suddenly terrified. How am I gonna do it?? I know I will but goodness it feels real and it’s like my DD suspects something is going on.

Mintykins4 · 08/11/2017 22:51

@ScienceGeekGirl My DC is 1 on Friday. It’s going to be total carnage and also absolutely fine. Crossing everything for a good sleeper!

jenslater · 09/11/2017 10:17

Having a total paranoid day today. My boobs are less engorged and sore and as that’s the only symptom I’ve really had (besides some hormone-induced weeping and dizzyness), I’m scared that means that’s it! Trying to distract myself but with still 19 days til 12w scan, I’m just pacing around!

Bunnyears85 · 09/11/2017 10:23

Hi @jenslater I hope you’re okay. Easier said than done but please try not to worry too much. Symptoms should decrease towards the end of the first trimester. Completely normal, although if you’re really that worried get a private scan just for your own reassurance

Jen, I'm almost 11weeks and my boobs are nowhere near as painful/swollen. Nausea is also getting better. I totally empathise, I feel worried but as bunny says symptoms do decrease as time goes on, the placenta takes over etc.. My 12 week scan can't come quick enough though!

spacepoodle · 09/11/2017 11:52

Can I join please?

My EDD is 25th June. I have a very active son who is almost 14 months so quite nervous about what I'm potentially letting myself in for next year! Feeling very queasy and tired but better than I remember last time round.

My booking appointment isn't until 28th Nov when I will be 10 weeks. We are also in the process of selling our house and will be moving halfway across the country in the next few weeks (probably when I'm 12 weeks!). Has anyone successfully transferred their antenatal care to another trust before? Am I likely to be waiting ages for a scan date as I'm obviously not even registered with a GP at the new place yet?

It's an extra bit of anxiety that I don't need!

jenslater · 09/11/2017 13:47

Thanks for the reassurance @Bunnyears85 @ElizabethLemon! It’s good to know it’s normal for 9-ish weeks. I know the best thing to do is try and stay calm and be patient, so am trying to keep myself busy.

Alice0906 · 09/11/2017 16:01

@jenslater
A couple of weeks ago my poor dh got home from work to find me in tears because I'd managed to convince myself that my lack of symptoms must mean I'd had a missed miscarriage. Since then I've very occasionally felt a tiny bit nauseous, I get bloated after meals and my boobs have gotten a bit tender again. (One is also massively bigger than the other now, has anyone else found that?). If you don't have any pain or bleeding then the chances are that everything is ok!

It sounds like you're at a very similar stage to me. I'm 9+5, scan is in 18 days when I'll be 12+2. I suspect we should both be grateful we've avoided feeling too ill - and instead we're just getting anxious about it!

Cookie1831 · 09/11/2017 18:03

Had my booking today I am 7 weeks by ovulation and early scan but 9 by LMP but my legend of a midwife filled in the paperwork by the LMP so hopefully will get my dating scan at 10-11 weeks instead of 13 so can tell family before Christmas 😊

Sictransitgloria · 09/11/2017 19:23

I'm having a total nightmare with care here. Rang midwives, never received a referral from my gp. Rung gp surgery, receptionist said there's no record of me seeing the GP and no record of my pregnancy! I'm 9+3 and feeling cranky!!!

PLFDiDi · 09/11/2017 21:01

Hello everyone! So happy to join a group going through the same stuff at the same time! Especially as we haven't shared our news much yet- apart from a few mums from work who I told for practical reasons (and cause I was too excited) we are hoping to do a big Christmas reveal. So excited xx

jenslater · 10/11/2017 09:14

@Alice0906
It’s reassuring to know it’s not just me! I felt like I cried at everything yesterday, good or bad and DH found me in a mess! I guess it’s good to know the hormones are still there...? I’m trying to just stay calm and be patient, but it’s so hard when there are almost no signs!

I hope your scan comes soon, 18 days (mine’s the day after yours!) feels so far away!

jenslater · 10/11/2017 09:16

@Cookie1831 that’s great news! Christmas is such an amazing time to be able to spread good news.

Hanz88 · 10/11/2017 09:59

Morning ladies, i've been quiet on here so as not to jinx anything (silly I know but makes sense in my head!) but finding your posts really comforting. I'm 10+6 my symptoms seem to have disappeared so feeling pretty anxious and apart from DH and a gym friend no-one knows! My booking apt and first scan are both next week, decided against a private scan so nerves are kicking in big time! It's going to be a LONG 7 days...x

Hanz88 · 10/11/2017 09:59

oh god sorry for the essay!

Bunnyears85 · 10/11/2017 11:21

Waiting for the link to the FB group. Any chance that anyone else can add me?

@spacenoodle
Sounds like we’ll have a similar age gap then! My lo is coming up to 15 months. This was a surprise pregnancy - I have pcos and still breastfeeding so even though my period had just returned, I didn’t think of using contraception! So excited and also nervous about how I will cope with two under two.

Newbietwo · 10/11/2017 12:54

I’d love to join the Facebook group but still a bit nervous of jinxing things- ridiculous I know. Will wait until into the second trimester I think.

Hope all are doing okay, that symptoms are easing off and tiredness not too bad. I’ve had a better week with nausea and tiredness but my mood has been so up and down. Has anyone else had this?!!

Youzanne · 10/11/2017 13:35

Yes @Newbietwo I’m 8w+2 and my moods are really up and down. Im cranky to my DH but also feel a bit down generally, almost nothing is interesting me like it normally would. I told my dr and she said this is normal and unless I start to feel really down it’s normal and just my hormones. I’m normally quite a motivated person so struggling with my newfound blasé attitude! Hopefully come 2nd trimester the mood swings will settle :)

purplebiro · 10/11/2017 15:19

Hi all, littke update from me - went to the epu on Wednesday and they booked me in for a scan - very wriggly little 11+4 (today) bean and no visible bleeds so I am discharged back to midwife but still seeing occasional pink blood on wiping. I never had anything like this with dd so it’s making me pretty nervous - any reassurance? I have my nucal scan on Monday so will ask again then if they can see any issues.

RockinRobinTweets · 10/11/2017 16:09

It is common but no less nerve wrecking purple! Hopefully it stops happening soon for you

Mummyloves09 · 11/11/2017 09:41

Good morning Ladies,
Long time no speak, for some odd reason I no longer get notifaction emails.
I hope you are all well?

Symptoms are still the same really sore and enlarged breast. Nausea has died down a lot however dizziness and loss of balance has kicked in.

Since having my book in appointment and discovering my bmi was awful (despite not looking overweight the midwife stated) I have been on a keep fit journey however still eating 3 small meals a day (So not dieting) just gentle exercising a bit more and I have lost 1 kg so I feeling very happy with myself at the moment.

I still have basically age until 12 week scan which is 4th December,
Hopefully time flies by.

Have a great weekend ladiesSmile

Sictransitgloria · 11/11/2017 21:05

Hi @purplebiro
Nearly 10 weeks. I've been having pink when I wipe too. Also some light cramping. Hoping it's nothing, was told it could be the placenta forming or could be down to your body stretching a bit? Anyway just wanted to offer some solidarity and hope you're ok x
