Ooh, a Facebook page! How do I join?

SoozC · 07/11/2017 15:47

I'd like to join the Facebook group but I'm worried it'll show up on my feed. We've only told close family and a couple of friends so don't want lots of questions!

lookingforthecorkscrew · 07/11/2017 16:49

Joining the party, 8+1 today. I’m 36. Have a DS, who’s 3, and live in NE London with him and DH (though moving to Kent in spring).

Had a scan yesterday at EGU and everything looked 👌, but I miscarried at 11 weeks in April, so I’m very anxious about it all.

RockinRobinTweets · 07/11/2017 17:23

Welcome newbies. We told our parents this weekend and it made it feel a bit more real.

I have constant nausea bunny - the gp prescribed some anti sickness meds’ but I’m too nervous to take them. Being well rested helps the most.

thumbelina03 · 07/11/2017 17:47

The FB group is secret - nobody will see it.

Maincat · 07/11/2017 18:08

@backformore Many thanks for the reassurance, I'm feeling overly anxious at the moment but I know I need to relax!

I'm also finding sleeping difficult. Waking up really early and difficulty getting comfy - my boobs hurt so much when I try to change position!

Bunnyears85 · 07/11/2017 18:21

Doctor has signed me off work for 2 weeks due to nausea and sickness. That’s a relief. I had my booking in appointment today too and my midwife is wonderful! I’m so pleased as I swapped gp surgeries specifically for her as my MW during my last pregnancy was AWFUL! So very pleased with new one! Smile

Hi guys, not been on cos I’ve been ill, but need a little hand hold/talked down. Just been to the toilet and noticed when I wiped a tiny bit of pale blood and my CM was tinged slightly brown. I’ve never had any bleeding before whilst pregnant with my DS so no idea what’s normal. I’m trying to talk myself round that it’s maybe leftovers from a uti I had at the weekend Sad

Fillybee · 07/11/2017 19:39

Hello! Tentatively joining... I’ve had 3 miscarriages this year so feeling pretty apprehensive but today had an early scan and embryo was measuring exactly right for dates (7+1) and heartbeat was strong so feeling slightly more reassured! (Scans for previous pregnancies were not as good).

I’m 30, in Shropshire and have one DS who will be 2 in December!

What is the email I need for the Facebook group? Thanks!

Bunnyears85 · 07/11/2017 20:36

Hi @hoop please don’t worry. I’ve had a few episodes of light bleeding now and as long as it’s only a bit there’s nothing to worry about but worth contacting your epu to get a reassurance scan for your own peace of mind more than anything!

Welcom @filly!

Thanks, @thumbelina03, I think I'll join then!

ScienceGeekGirl · 08/11/2017 07:46

Scan after work today. I’m feeling pretty numb. Not really anxious nor excited. Guess if everything is ok then I might be able to allow myself to believe it is real.

purplebiro · 08/11/2017 08:15

Hi everyone, is anyone experiencing round ligament pain yet? I’m 11+3 according to lmp but pretty sure I conceived late. Didn’t have anything like this with my daughter but this morning walking her to childminder I felt a sharp stabbing pain, like a muscle pull, in my right lower abdomen and now it hurts to move, like a pulled muscle. I think I “popped” last night, too - at least I could feel the bump a lot more this morning when I woke up. Any ideas?

Bunnyears85 · 08/11/2017 08:18

Good luck this evening @sciencegeek Hope all goes well!

@purplebiro - I could have written that myself! I have RLP too especially when turning over in bed or getting out of the car. I had it last pregnancy too, nothing to worry about

@Filybee : to request to join send an email to [email protected]

thumbelina03 · 08/11/2017 09:07

Good like for your scan @Sciencegeekgirl

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 08/11/2017 11:21

Fun little trip to the EPU today for a bleeding since Friday. Little pumpkin is all okay and completely unaware of the mental breakdown they're giving me.

I might re-join the fb group as I'm now past the 6 week point (pretty much) and that was basically my fear. Would I have to have another link sent? I have no idea what I'm doing

Mintykins4 · 08/11/2017 11:37

@hoopdeloop Spotting and light bleeding is usually nothing to worry about. I had a full ‘period’ a few weeks ago so didn’t realise I was pregnant. I had a bit of spotting last time round too and no problems at all.

Good luck for your scan @ScienceGeekGirl

My booking appointment will be when I’m at 11+2 I’m a couple of weeks, my midwife said she’ll refer me for the scan now but she said that last time (and it was really late) so thinking I might be forking out for a private nuchal scan again Hmm

purplebiro · 08/11/2017 15:10

Hiya, just to add to my post from earlier - pain disappeared more or less as soon as I got to work but I've just been to the loo and got some brown discharge, which I've never had before (with this pregnancy or previous) - do you think I should call epu?

momz · 08/11/2017 15:33

@BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer how to join the Facebook group?

RockinRobinTweets · 08/11/2017 16:16

My heartburn is terrible today! What can I take?

ScienceGeekGirl · 08/11/2017 16:40

Gaviscon. By the end of the last pregnancy I carried it wherever I went!

Wonky35 · 08/11/2017 17:28

I would be properly pissed off if I had to pay for a private scan mintykins. You should phone up the hospital where you will have your scan and ask if they have received the referral yet and if they could give you a date. If anyone is awkward you should quote the NICE guideline (CG62) that says that you should receive a scan by 13+6 unless your booking is very late.

RockinRobinTweets · 08/11/2017 19:10

science I think that’s what it is anyway. I have a sore throat from acids burps

Cookie1831 · 08/11/2017 19:18

I had to send my hubby to get me gaviscon late last night too never had it this early with my previous pregnancies!
