Has anyone experienced any unusual CM?

SoozC · 05/11/2017 21:30

Thanks, @Phryne, I'll look into those. No bump yet (6+4) but waistbands are feeling restrictive already. Probably just in my head though!

Booked a private early scan for next Monday. This is my first pregnancy so I've no idea what it might feel like and as I am currently having very few symptoms, I thought getting a scan would put my mind at rest. I am paranoid there is a problem and just want to be able to relax and enjoy the pregnancy. I can't wait until my dating scan so private it is! DH spent the same amount (£89) on clamps for his woodworking hobby this weekend so he says if he can spend that on something fun I should spend the same on something reassuring. Got to love his reasoning! Grin

Any tips on how to cope/treat severe morning (constant) sickness? I’ve been up all night throwing up/wretching and I feel absolutely dreadful Sad

Hi Everyone
Jumping on to join in EDD is 26th June so just over 6 1/2 weeks and feeling pretty rubbish!
@bunnyears do you eat before bed? As I don't want to eat anything I find it does help a little

Mummyloves09 · 06/11/2017 07:45

Good morning ladies,

@Bunnyears85 I found snacking on carbs (crackers, toast, bagels etc) frequently helped. But everyone is different so it may not work but worth a try.

Sictransitgloria · 06/11/2017 08:32

Just checking in, been busy the last few weeks. Hope everyone is ok :)

9 weeks now. No midwife contact. Will chase that up today. No morning sickness but have been having vivid dreams/nightmares and waking up at 3am every day and then not sleeping!

Bunnyears85 · 06/11/2017 12:53

Thanks @mummloves and @shera I was okay on bread, crackers and biscuits but now I can only just keep down a cup of ginger tea. Off work again today, dr appointment tomorrow to see if I can get signed off (9+5 today) I didn’t have any nausea at all with DS. Hoping this passes v.soon

Newbietwo · 06/11/2017 13:43

bunnyears fingers crossed the doctor is helpful tomorrow. And the sickness goes away, don’t know how you’re doing it with another one too. I’ve had constant nausea but not to the point of sickness thank goodness. Finding it hard to keep up the energy levels to run around after my toddler though.

Sat in the early pregnancy unit as I’ve had some spotting. Forgot how scary this all was. Fingers crossed all okay.

Cookie1831 · 06/11/2017 14:46

Good luck newbie
bunny there shouldn't be any problem getting a sick note so don't worry just explain how I'll you are
I still have nausea but no vomiting had half a jar of salt n vinegar Pringles for lunch Grin

Maincat · 06/11/2017 15:29

I'm 7+5 and just had an early scan sue to previous mc. Baby looked fine but there's a bleed underneath the sac. Apparently small and unconcerning but I'm very worried! Haven't actually seen any bleeding yet myself. Fingers crossed its all OK at 12 weeks.

Bunnyears85 · 06/11/2017 15:40

@newbie - All okay? Any news. Hope you’re okay. I had quite a bit of red blood last weekend and all is fine (had an early scan a couples of days later) Let is know how you get on.

@Maincat - If they said it’s small and unconcerning please try and remember that and don’t worry! Stay away from Google too!! Do you have a date for your 12 w scan yet?

OP posts:
Maincat · 06/11/2017 15:48

@bunnyears85 No date yet, waiting on my booking appointment to come through too. I know I need to relax, it's just all worrying and I'm still haunted by my mc. Googling is definitely not happening...i'll terrify myself further!

SoozC · 06/11/2017 16:17

Good luck, @newbietwo, hopefully the spotting is nothing serious.

Fingers crossed for you @Maincat, I'm sure they'd have told you if it was serious. Hard not to worry but try not to.

I've been signed off with stress from work, finding it really hard to be there with a bunch of four-year-olds on my feet all day, it makes my lower abdomen ache. Now I feel guilty for being at home. I hope my boss isn't too annoyed. Sad

Lulu298 · 06/11/2017 16:55

Sorry to hear that soozc but think you have to do what feels right for you at this time. Your health is the most important thing.

Hope everything was all right newbie.

Hope the docs can help bunnyears.

What's unusual about it gaelach?

Bunnyears85 · 06/11/2017 18:37

@sooz - I completely get where you’re coming from I’m a HOD in a boys secondary school. Teenage boys all day everyday then coming home to a tired toddler and being really sick = lots of stress. As if teaching wasn’t hard enough! Try not to feel guilty, there’s absolutely no need, try and relax as much as you can x

@newbie - Hope you’re okay

This tiredness is brutal! My hip is quite sore as well. The nausea seems to be improving though, I'm 10+2 and aside from mild queasiness I'm mostly not that sick. Still eating nothing but crap though! Now that the sickness is subsiding I'm worrying much more about it all being in my head :p

Hope everyone is ok !

Newbietwo · 06/11/2017 19:00

Thank you so much, the scan went well and no cause for the bleed found. Such a relief. They checked my cervix too and I still have an ectropian from the last pregnancy, so told that may cause more bleeding like last time. Anyway, thank you. We haven’t told anyone apart from a couple of my Mum friends locally who have helped out and was nice to be able to share that.

Slightly panicking that the heart rate was 148 per minute and it should be more like 170 now I’m 10 weeks but the doctor scanning me didn’t say anything so trying not to get too hung up on that. I had been fairly relaxed so far but not anymore!

*@maincat Fingers crossed it’s all good. Like pp said, they would have said if it had been serious. Roll on the second trimester!!!

@sooz definitely the right thing to be off if you’re not well. I started working in nursery and reception (I work in schools but hadn’t worked in eyfs before) during my last pregnancy and I was constantly picking up bugs.

Hope all are well and I guess we are nearly at 12 week scans???!

SoozC · 06/11/2017 20:54

Thanks guys, think I'm stressing more about telling the head. I just feel so bad for having time off; I'm not generally ill and I've only been at this school since September. Hopefully I'll feel better once I've told him.

@Newbietwo, I'm only around 6+5! Die roughly June 27th so aaaaaages to go before my 12-week scan! Got a private one booked for next Monday though Wink

SoozC · 06/11/2017 20:54

*due

Cookie1831 · 06/11/2017 22:17

sooz I think I am about the same as you by my dates 6+5 today x

SoozC · 06/11/2017 22:24

Ooh, @Cookie1831, we'll have to compare after dating scans! Grin

Shera55 · 07/11/2017 05:51

@Bunnyears85 how did it go with the doc?
GLad the scan went well @Newbietwo

I saw that there was a Facebook page? Are many of you on it? I did send an email but didn't get a link yet - is there anyone else that can add people?

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 07/11/2017 07:30

@Shera55 If you’ve sent an email to me, I’ve invited everyone I’ve had an email from so maybe check your junk folder. Failing that, send me another email. If it was one of the other ladies, I’m sure they’ll get back to you.

There’s about 60+ of us in the fb group at the mo. It’s much easier to keep track of what people are doing, questions asked etc over there.

Lulu298 · 07/11/2017 07:39

Morning ladies, anyone bought any good bump-disguising outfits lately they can share links to?!

Have got a get together in a couple of weeks when I'll hopefully be 11.5 weeks and my tummy is already looking conspicuously round!

backformore · 07/11/2017 13:30

@Maincat, I was also told they saw a small bleed on my uterus at the early scan, but not to worry - they'll monitor it and chances are it will resolve on its own. So, hand holding available if you need it!

Anyone else finding sleeping is already starting to be uncomfortable? I'm much more aware of bloat/tightening/stretching/pulling feelings when I'm lying down, and as a stomach sleeper I'm tossing and turning most nights trying to find a sustainable position. Not even 10 weeks yet!
