Hi guys, I think I'm suffering with cystitis. My first dr appt not until Monday. Am I okay to take normal cystitis relief? Not sure what to do.

ArkadyRose · 26/10/2017 12:39

Hello, ladies. Can't believe I'm going through this all over again - I'm at 6 weeks with what will be number 4, though it's pregnancy number 10. It shouldn't even have been possible; I'm almost 45 and I'd actually started menopause! Shock Given that we'd given up trying for another over 3 years ago after 3 years of disappointments and m/c, I couldn't believe it. I think I must have gone through 6 tests, staring at the BFP in disbelief every time!

I'm not sure I can entirely let myself fully believe this is happening just yet though; my last m/c was at 12 weeks, so anything could happen between now and December. This one does feel different though.

Welcome new ladies!!

Congrats on the good scans, November 17th is feeling very far away right now!

RockinRobinTweets · 26/10/2017 13:12

Early scan today and good news! Measuring 8 weeks and due 7th June Grin So happy and relieved!

Mummyloves09 · 26/10/2017 13:18

@ xxmissbrightsidexx so glad everything has worked out.
Welcome all newcomers and lovely to see all this good news going on at the moment Smile

senzaparole03 · 26/10/2017 13:23

Desperate for a scan date!

I had my GP appointment last Friday and the referral was sent to the clinic.

Waiting for an appointment with the midwife, and then the scan date.

ARGH.

senzaparole03 · 26/10/2017 13:33

Within seconds of my last post, the postman arrived! And carried my appointment invitation to the clinic.

Hurrah.

xxmissbrightsidexx · 26/10/2017 13:38

Thankyou Mummyloves 🙂
Great news Rockinrobin x

xxmissbrightsidexx · 26/10/2017 13:40

Glad everything was okay Shutupanddance 🙂 Nausea is knocking me for 6 too xx

Rsian26 · 26/10/2017 14:58

Haven't posted in a while but I'm back. I've been busy with work and getting organised for my son's 4th birthday on Monday!

Had my early scan through this morning. It's Tuesday morning! So excited yet nervous. Hope it's all good.

Boobs are very sore, sharp shooting pains some times but no bleeding. The bloat makes me look about 6 months already!!!

According to my dates I'm 8 weeks today!

Bunnyears85 · 26/10/2017 17:57

Hi everyone and a huge welcome to all the newbies! 😀 I’m doing well thank you no spotting at all today. Dr not concerned as it was only such a small amount, I also have an early scan booked on Tuesday night (will be 8+6) so hoping and praying for a healthy scan then. Feel absolutely awful, so lightheaded, almost vertigo like, constipated constantly leading to a constant feeling of fullness and bloating. I also had the flu jab today so feeling under the weather now! Oh and DS has a fever! However, as always feeling very fortunate, happy and blessed regardless of the side effects!

Great news all round x

rhubarb86 · 26/10/2017 19:26

Hi please may I join? Had two faint positives on Tuesday after a late period. We were using natural family planning (but obviously not well as I appear to have gotten pregnant!) from my calculations I'm at 5 weeks today due 28th June. I also joined the July thread as I wasn't sure which would be best. I did my third and final boots cheapie test tonight and a BFP.. still doesn't feel real!! How do I join the fb please?

shortcake76 · 26/10/2017 19:55

@rhubarb86 on page 2 of this thread boofay put her email address for all requests to join the Facebook group.

Rsian26 · 26/10/2017 20:33

Unfortunately it won't let me join the fb group. It says link doesn't work!!

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 26/10/2017 20:58

@Rsian26, have you sent me an email using your fb affiliated email address? If so, don’t worry - a few have had the same problem for some unknown reason. Send me a fb message and we’ll work it out. My profile will be the one you got the (not working) invite from x

timeisnotaline · 26/10/2017 21:44

Hi sooz cystitis is a uti basically isn't it? Drink cranberry juice and the gp will give you some antibiotics, if you tell them you're pregnant it will be fine.

SoozC · 26/10/2017 22:05

Thanks for your reply, @timeisnotaline. It seems to have gone away now but I will mention it to the doc at my appt on Monday. Thanks for the cranberry juice tip; if it comes back I'll get some!

Cookie1831 · 27/10/2017 06:41

Sorry sooz I somehow missed your question, definitely get your urine checked if you get a high temp or pain around your kidneys get seen over he weekend as uti can be more serious in pregnancy
I just did another digital and got my 3+ so am feeling much better nerves wise hooray!!! (Still going for an early scan though!)x

ScienceGeekGirl · 27/10/2017 07:39

I just got 3+ too cookie. Was super nervous, not just cos it might not show 3+ but also really didn’t want to fork out for more digital tests lol. But all good yay!

CoffeeChocolateWine · 27/10/2017 10:31

Is anyone else suffering from really bad back pain? I've had it for a couple of weeks but it seems a little early seeing as I'm only 8 weeks pregnant! Doesn't give me much hope for the rest of the 7 months! I had been doing pilates but I've had to stop as my teacher thinks her class isn't suitable for pregnancy but I feel like I need to keep it going otherwise I'll be really suffering later on Sad

Shutupanddance1 · 27/10/2017 10:38

For cystitis I'd take lots of fluids, esp cranberrry juice. If you don't like the taste getting the watered down ones are better. I have quite a sore bladder most mornings and it feels really uncomfortable. However I remember having it with DD1 so I know its pretty normal.

Next doctor appointment isn't til Dec 2nd now Shock It's not that long I suppose! I'm abroad ATM so plan on going home on the 14th so we will probably let people know then. We told SIL last night as she's living in same area as us and is the only family person who will see us to Christmas.

HELLY0 · 27/10/2017 10:46

Yeah - a JUNE 2018 - club!!! This is my first at the ripe old age of 30; it was our first month trying, so wasn't expecting much and BAM I was pregnant just like that !

I will be due 18th June and have my first early scan appointment next week !

So far; the hardest thing has been not fitting into my size 10 jeans - serious bloat >> I am eating more to combat the slight sickness I have been getting __ plus making sure I have breakfast (this is new to me); and a good lunch - not just a snack ! So maybe its bloat and weight gain !

xxxxx

ElizabethLemon · 27/10/2017 11:47

Has anyone had to take time off of work for sickness etc?

I had to leave early last week as felt so awful and then told my line manager why later on. I just feel so drained and sick today, I'm meant to be working later on this afternoon but really can't face it. But then I feel really guilty and pathetic!

GottaBeStrong · 27/10/2017 11:53

Hi Ladies

I am new to the group. I had a few weakish BFPs a couple of weeks ago, took another a week ago and it was even stronger, so here I am. I saw the midwife yesterday for my booking-in appointment. I am apparently high risk due to multiple chronic health problems.

This is my first pregnancy at age 37 and I fell pregnant in the first month of trying after removal of the Mirena coil (placed during surgery for endometriosis) so we were super surprised. I am now 6+2. Due 20th June.

So far, I have had one craving, which was one of the things that suddenly made me think I was pregnant. I have also been incredibly exhausted, had insomnia, been quite bloated, had the wind (haha) and been peeing more than usual, plus I noticed the crazy sense of smell. Then a few days ago I started with the nausea. Last night it woke me at 4 a.m. and I could not go to sleep as I felt so sick. I thought I might escape this, but no such luck. I have also been having what seem like hot flashes and then sometimes feeling really cold, which is a bit weird.
