Am glad the scans are both good. Must be a big relief. Is everyone having the heart rate measured during their early scans? I was told the latest advice was not to use Doppler ultrasound routinely.

Not yet had my flu jab but do plan to soon.

Mummyloves09 · 25/10/2017 16:36

@Wonky35 funny enough the consultant at epu today wouldn't let us hear the heartbeat as she said it's a much stronger ultrasound and that the embryo is so delicate and it sometimes heats them up too much.
But I don't know if the same theory applies to the doppler.

Emz01 · 25/10/2017 17:48

Wonderful news @Impatientmummy36 and @Mummyloves09 so pleased everything went well for you both!

Wonky35 · 25/10/2017 18:09

The Doppler is a type of ultrasound that they use to listen to the heartbeat. Glad it’s not just me.

Bunnyears85 · 25/10/2017 19:33

I’m spotting. What do I do? Who do I call? Please advise

@Bunnyears85 if it’s only a small amount there is usually no need to worry. However I think the only thing you can do is call 111 or wait until GP/EPU open in the morning.

Cookie1831 · 25/10/2017 19:45

Have you any pain? If you have very sharp pain to either side especially of radiates to shoulder tips, or very dizzy or faint then A&e tonight otherwise GP in the morning to get referral to your local early pregnancy assessment unit or if you can self refer then do that, sorry it is so stressful am sure will be fine xxx

PrincessPunzie · 25/10/2017 19:47

Bunnyears - if you call 111 they'll probably refer you to antenatal and get you into the EPU for the morning. But don't panic - I had a little bit of blood three times between weeks 6 and 9 when pregnant with #1 x

Bunnyears85 · 25/10/2017 19:53

Thanks all. I’ll wait until the morning and call EPU. There’s not much blood at all but there is some so would feel better getting it checked out. Thanks again x

@ Bunnyears85 bleeding is ok as long as it's not heavy and no sharp pain but epu should put all the worries to bed. I know and alot of us on here know how unsettling bleeding/spotting can be. Keep us posted

jenp256 · 25/10/2017 22:19

Hi everyone! I found out last week I am having number 3 😁. Don't see midwife until 14th November and to be honest have no idea how far along I am 🙄 I lost my job in June (have now got another) things have been really stressful so I can't for the life of me remember when my last period was either aug or Sept I think, I didn't even think I could be until I got horrendous heartburn which I only ever get when pregnant. Apart from that and the endless exhaustion hopefully things are good.
Hope everyone else is doing well xx

Mileymoocow · 26/10/2017 07:57

Hi ladies, hope it's ok to join!

I got my bfp last week at about 15dpo, though still quite faint so I'm tentative. I have a 13 month old DS and suffered with HG last pregnancy so am really hoping it doesn't strike me down again. Due 28th June if all goes well

Mumof3cheeky · 26/10/2017 08:28

@Mummyloves09 that’s fantastic news from last week. What a change!!! So happy for you xx

Welcome to our new ladies as well, good to see it getting so busy in here xx

Shutupanddance1 · 26/10/2017 12:26

I had my scan yesterday- all looks good but little thing measures nearly a week less than they should - going by my dates I'm 8 weeks, with them it's 7 weeks. But there is a good heartbeat there and OB said everything looks as it should.

Dealing with nausea is killing me, I'm not feeling well today but I've so much to do Confused Running around after a 16 month old doesn't help either
