Good luck mumof3! Smile

PrincessPunzie · 19/10/2017 11:18

Good morning everyone!

I hope it's okay to join. I'm 38 next month, have a 16 month old DS, and got my BFP this morning after nine cycles of trying.

I know that there are a couple of ladies on here from my previous antenatal groups - hello! I'm delighted to be joining you, it seems a bit silly now but I was starting to wonder whether a second pregnancy was ever going to happen for me. TTC is the worst!

I'm absolutely terrible at following Mumsnet threads, if there's a Facebook group I'd be ever so pleased to join it at some point.

Hoping everyone is well and happy, and I'll look forward to chatting soon!

I’m over the moon to introduce my little shrimp with a lovely heartbeat measuring a huge 7.2 mm😍

Yay Mumof3! It’s such a good pic too!

xxmissbrightsidexx · 19/10/2017 11:32

Lovely news mumof3, brill pic too 💜

Emz01 · 19/10/2017 11:33

@Mumof3cheeky that’s wonderful news! So pleased for you.

Mumof3cheeky · 19/10/2017 11:33

Thanks Science it is amazing they managed to take such a great shot! Looks like a proper baby at 6+4 😀

Mumof3cheeky · 19/10/2017 11:38

Thanks Ladies! I spent the last few days panicking that my stomach is ever so flat and not bloated at all then when I woke up this morning I could feel a little hard round bit at the bottom of my tummy as I was lying slightly on my side.
I remember feeling that later on with my previous pregnancies.
The weather is horrendous where I am but nothing will wipe this smile off 😀

Ca55andraMortmain · 19/10/2017 11:46

Hello everyone, hope it's ok to join. Feeling slightly in shock to have had a bfp this morning after the second month of trying. I have a DD who was 2 yesterday. I'm excited, but also freaking out a bit to be honest!

Hanz88 · 19/10/2017 11:52

@mumof3 that is a fab pic! I can't believe thats 6+4 - i'm a first timer! Still a while to go for my scan...can't get excited. Just a bag of nerves!

shortcake76 · 19/10/2017 11:56

@PrincessPunzie - there is a Facebook group. One page 1 or 2 of this thread Boofay put her email address up for requests to join. If you email her, she'll add you to the group. I think they're about 40 of us on there at the moment :-)

shortcake76 · 19/10/2017 11:57

Wow what a clear picture! No wonder you can't stop smiling :-D xx

Mummyloves09 · 19/10/2017 12:01

@Mumof3cheeky that picture is absolutely perfect. Was it private or nah?
Congratulations Smile

Mummyloves09 · 19/10/2017 12:01

I meant Nhs not nah

Mumof3cheeky · 19/10/2017 12:15

Thanks all from memory I didn’t expect the shape to be this formed. It was private but very impressive I also got a USB stick so when I go back for harmony or any other scan or tests it will all be put on there.

PrincessPunzie · 19/10/2017 13:00

Thank you shortcake (sorry I have no recollection of how to tag anyone at the moment!) That's brilliant, I will contact her later Smile

HolyShmoly · 19/10/2017 15:43

mumof3 that's amazing, it's so clear! Im only a couple days behind you and it's mad to think that's going on in my belly too.

All y trousers and skirts are getting too tight but I can't wear maternity clothes yet! I wonder if I can just wear pjs to work for the next few weeks...

CrmbleBee · 19/10/2017 16:55

@MrsWWright, booked with Ultrasound Direct, otherwise known as BabyBond. Other contenders were windowtothewomb.co.uk and heybaby4d. Went with Ultrasound Direct because it was closest and also heard lots of good things about them.

MrsWWright · 19/10/2017 17:37

@Mumof3cheeky amazing pic. Really makes me want to book an early scan now!

@CrmbleBee thanks Mrs! I'll have a wee look.

Where are you all from? I'm
In Scotland. Glasgow.

ladydolly · 19/10/2017 18:02

Great pic!!! Making me excited for mine tomorrrow!! With DD our 9 week early scan was a clearer/better pic than the 12 wk one.

I am full on into maternity clothes now, I can't even wear my 'fat' jeans. A lot of it is because of the nausea, I can't stand any pressure on my belly. Although I'm sure a lot of it is the food baby. I am carbloading like my life depends on it, it's the only way I can stop myself being sick. So lots of baggy jumpers and shirts with maternity jeans. Luckily my work are fairly relaxed dress code.

BoofayTheOompaLoompaSlayer · 19/10/2017 18:08

Hello all!

Just a quick one to say that there’s been a few fb group requests today and I’ve sent an invite to you all. If you haven’t received an email inviting you to the group, check your junk folder. If you’ve used an email address that isn’t associated with your fb account, resend me an email with your fb account email address. They’ll be more than 50 of us by the end of the evening! What a busy group we are (both on here and on Facebook!) 😄

Caspiana · 19/10/2017 18:27

Had my midwife appointment today - all fine but it’s made my mind go into overdrive. Wondering about trying to book another early scan as I don’t think I can wait a month Confused

@ladydolly glad it’s not just me who can’t wear my old clothes! Best of luck tomorrow!

@mummyof3cheeky great photo! Congratulations!

AnythingNotEverything · 19/10/2017 19:25

20% off maternity wear at ASOS with code MATERNITY20. Valid until tomorrow.

Bit early for me I think ... might have a quick look though. Rude not to really.

Impatientmummy36 · 19/10/2017 19:58

Great scan pic! My early ones with ds1 were Babybond and looked great too.

Feeling positive for the first time today like this might actually be happening...

Went for bloods and between last week and this week they've been more than doubling every 2 days so all looking on track. So relieved. Still feeling a bit superstitious and freaked out about chatting on Facebook!

Ladies who were talking about c sections- you have the right to choose if that's what you want. If your midwife is saying otherwise then get a second opinion or be prepared to be firm and insist. As far as I understand it since 2011 it's been your right and as long as they're sure you understand the opticians they can't refuse? xx

senzaparole03 · 19/10/2017 19:58

Conversely, my boobs are fine!

Maybe slightly sweollen, but not soreness whatsoever.
I have no nausea either.

Both make me doubt my pregnancy, but I keep looking at pics of the 2 tests..! And the uterine aches and cramps.

Won't relax until I get a scan... i assume early December?
