Strike through fail. Sums up my day. Sad

RockinRobinTweets · 18/10/2017 21:12

Greggs I feel massive and have been carb loading too so I feel bloated but I’ve not actually gained weight.

Pregnancy with dc1 started like this, then I started actually vomiting until 16w so lost weight and then ended up 21lbs up by delivery... so don’t panic yet

ElizabethLemon · 18/10/2017 21:13

Greggs I'm not sure how much weight I've gained but I'm on strict instructions re diet this time 😖. I feel you though, yesterday I was going to have healthy soup for lunch but ended up eating about 15 slices of white toast and butter!

Caspiana · 18/10/2017 21:13

I am too scared to weigh myself but basically I can’t fit in any of my clothes anymore 🙈🙈🙈

hoopdeloop · 18/10/2017 21:49

Anybody as spotty as hell? My face looks like a dot to dot of spots Angry

TurtleEyes · 18/10/2017 22:04

I've put on about 2-3 pounds from pre preg weight but for first 4weeks I couldn't face much food - the smell and eating just made my nausea worse- and I lost about half a stone, but last week or two I'm pretty much back to eating normally apart from bread (the smell).
I've had a few spots but it's my hair that's doing my head in the most- greasy and hair dye just doesn't work properly Sad

blondie1001 · 18/10/2017 22:25

hoopdeloop I'm soooo spotty - in places I don't normally get them too like the middle of my cheek.

MrsWWright · 18/10/2017 22:29

Hi ladies. Just jumping in here. Got my BFP on Sunday so 4+5. Exciting.
Told my mum tonight who was unexpectedly overjoyed. GrinGrin

xxmissbrightsidexx · 18/10/2017 22:30

I dont know how much weight ive put on but my fav skinny jeans are getting a bit snug and its a relief for me to take them off at the end of the day and put my comfy pyjama bottoms on lol. And my skin is dreadful, i resemble a teenager right now with my spotty face & greasy hair, and my stroppyness too 😂
Hope everyones okay this evening x

Phryne · 18/10/2017 22:40

Hello!

Sorry to hear your news silver. So very sorry.

Been feeling pretty good about it all but just had a chat with DP about booking a private early scan and now I'm worried it'll be like last time when we go in and get bad news... Am on holiday with my mum and DD so nothing I can do for a couple weeks anyway. Pointless worrying really.

MrsWWright · 18/10/2017 23:19

@CrmbleBee can I ask who you have booked your early scan with?

Mummyloves09 · 19/10/2017 02:42

Hey ladies,

Yes this is an odd time but I can never sleep between 1am and 3am.
I have not put on weight but I am very bloated with all the carbs.

Yesterday I felt like 2 dinner so I cooked them both and they weren't light.

  1. Cheesy mash with steamed fish and sweet corn.
  2. Steak, mac n cheese with rice.
So I feel soon I will be the size of a house, however I'm considering going back to the gym and just doing thread mill.

My skin is awful, full of spots and grease.

ScienceGeekGirl · 19/10/2017 06:08

So glad not just me that’s spotty. So when does this glowing I hear of start cos definitely not yet lol.

I’m in the bathroom surrounded by tests. But the important one: I got pregnant 2-3weeks! Whoop!

17caterpillars1mouse · 19/10/2017 07:17

I'm also very spotty atm . Have managed to lose 4lb so far through sickness though. It was the same last time. I had just managed to get back to pre- pregnancy weight when I gave birth

Lulu298 · 19/10/2017 07:34

Morning ladies and welcome newbies!

7+2 here and have got my booking in appt tomorrow morning. Any questions I should ask? Have got implications of having endometriosis on my list and whether it has any influence on how I give birth. I had a 3rd degree tear last time and the docs said afterwards that I could have a natural birth again but am wondering whether a Caesarian might be safer...anyone else had a similar experience?

Am with you on the spots. And the nausea has ramped up this week. Even eating doesn't keep it away Sad

Hope everyone is doing ok x

Bunnyears85 · 19/10/2017 07:42

Old wives tales day that if you're having a girl you get spots but if you're having a boy you get 'the glow' Hmm

OP posts:
Mummyloves09 · 19/10/2017 07:52

@Bunnyears85 I hope that is the case. I'm rooting for a girl but truly, I just want the baby to be healthly.

RockinRobinTweets · 19/10/2017 08:05

Yes Bunny - a girl steals your looks apparently. I looked pretty whale like with a boy mind you so not especially convinced with the theory

RockinRobinTweets · 19/10/2017 08:07

Lulu I had a third degree tear and the midwife completely dismissed any option on an elcs. I also thought it’d be an option so will be raising it again much nearer the time

shortcake76 · 19/10/2017 08:15

Cold feet means a boy. Craving savoury also means a boy! I've also looked on the Chinese calendar too. Going on all of that we're expecting a boy. I really don't mind. All I care about is the baby is healthy.

17caterpillars1mouse · 19/10/2017 08:51

Chinese gender predictor last time said boy but I had a girl. Saying boy again this time so we'll see lol

lampert · 19/10/2017 08:58

I have been fighting a cold for about a week and a half but today it's finally kicked in and I'm feeling so rough!! Not being allowed any lemsip or sudafed sucks, and the catarrh is making me feel more sick! Wahhhhh! Thank god I can work from home!

On the plus side I'm finally 8 weeks today so I feel like I'm on the home straight go the 12 week marker. Fingers crossed it whizzes past.

Sorry for the moan, I just needed to complain to someone that I feel sorry for myself!! Blush

Mumof3cheeky · 19/10/2017 09:14

I have been craving savoury and did (at some stage have the glow) and had 3 boys so there might be something in it 😀
I’m feeling just the same again except the bloating.
2 hrs until my early scan and I could scream from fear!!!
Dp is away but maybe it’s a good thing as I’m not a good company when all tense and worried. Rather be by myself!!!
Wish me luck! 😬

ScienceGeekGirl · 19/10/2017 09:54

Good luck with the scan later. x

Bunnyears85 · 19/10/2017 10:02

Good luck @mumof3 Looking forward to seeing the photo later!!

I have nausea and am very lightheaded this time. When pregnant with DS I didn't have any. Secretly hoping for a girl but obviously all that matters is that baby is healthy and happy. We found out the gender of DS last time. This time round we're team yellow and will look forward to a surprise on the day!

Did anyone here gender sway? We didn't but interested anyway!
