hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Daisybump · 19/04/2007 17:56

I never thought of that one Annobal.....will try that next time

Oooh, my connection seems to better today, might get some serious internet shopping done tonight!!

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 17:57

Apparently 10% of babies come early....so that's at least two of us I reckon.

sputnik · 19/04/2007 18:02

Oh god I'd forgotten Rhubarb and Custard, I loved that. They just don't make them like that any more do they?
Actually maybe they do, we had satellite for a while and I ended up spending my evenings watching Cow and Chicken and Sheep in the Big City on Cartoon Network.

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 18:11

Just checking on threads I've been on, and I asked a valid question (I thought) on one of the BF threads about a woman who is wnating ways to help her get re-established as her 9mo old won't BF anymore and screams if put near her boobs, and I've been completely blanked . I only asked why she couldn't take the lead from her LO...you'd think I suggested she poke hot needles in her child's eye FFS... Oh well....at least you guys talk to me.

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 18:18

God, not you lot as well......

annobal · 19/04/2007 18:23

Hi Daisy, sorry - just winning a 'victorian ebonised nursing chair' on ebay... I also got blanked when I suggested a person suffering from indigestion should cut out wheat and sugar from diet (and def not drink milk to calm it) - I think she's going with the gaviscon...

auntymandy · 19/04/2007 18:24

well I had 3 late one on due date and one early so just waiting to see what happens this time!!
It did very strange movements last night..,.I thought I might be exceptionally early..but thankfully not!!!

annobal · 19/04/2007 18:29

Do you need a peg too?

bumperlicious · 19/04/2007 18:37

Er... I'm sorry Daisy, and you are? Do we know you?

!

Had a pretty good first day back at work, catching up on 250 emails! Though my team were fairly underwhelmed to see me! Well in 3 weeks they'll realise what an asset I've been and will start to miss me (else, nothing will seem any different and they will think I do no work! Fortunately we don't have the external internet at work or I wouldn't get anything done!)

Think I'm going to have to call it a day on my ashtanga yoga class and stick to my antenatal class. Feel a bit sick after this evening's class. Off to make some cheesy pasta now!

Bagsy I'm one of the early two!

sputnik · 19/04/2007 18:37

Happens to me all the time! Why do we bother?
BTW Annobal, with you all the way on the wheat, where's this thread, I'll go and back you up

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 18:45

I had to give up wheat cos of coeliac disease, and although I don't suffer from indigestion since, it's made bugger all difference to the farking pregnancy heartburn. Made beautiful home made hot (but not very) and sour prawn noodle soup yesterday and was crippled all evening...or maybe that was because I was scrunched up on the sofa instead of upright on my computer chair

Just inhaled a bar of galaxy....boy I needed that

Can't believe I'm still connected.....can't last

riabutterflew · 19/04/2007 19:19

If at least two of us are going to be early I'd better stop looking at the mess and DEAL WITH IT!

Am just looking at claiming maternity allowance as didn't work enough for SMP, but it's looking like my initial thoughts were right and I haven't worked enough for MA either. Bugger. Would help if I could find the dates I actually worked. Why oh why did I have to take all of last summer off with sciatica? Should maybe stop the "free" shopping!!!

foxybrown · 19/04/2007 19:23

Hello ladies!

H&A - you are overdoing it! Tomorrow I expect to see you on here all day so we know you are putting your feet up. You know how we worry!

Auntymandy, how are you going? All well withyou? You have scared me! 3 or 4 weeks? Oh well, I'm pretty confident it won't be me. Look out for my birth announcement mid-July!

Bumper, glad to hear you had an ok day.

Have to go back through the thread as I have now forgotten everything that has happened to you all!

I saw Rupert with Dervla and kids in a cafe, he is indeed breathtakingly handsome. Also had his new baby strapped to him to double his unfeasibly huge amount of gorgeousness. Dervla looked completely spaced out, so completely normal with a newborn(still very pretty). And slim.

Got my secret shower pressie sorted out today. I've loved getting it together, its just knowing when to stop! There's so much I want to add to it, had to really restrict myself (ended up buying two of everything anyway - one for you, one for me).

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 19:34

Foxy...surely with No. 4 you must have a pretty good idea of how you will labour, or habe they all been totally different?? Or have they all been overdue?

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 19:36

and how exciting seeing real live celebs....the closest thing I've had here in Leeds was following Eric Pollard for Emmerdale around ASDA...that sounds bad, I wasn't stalking him or anything, we were just in the smae aisles as him, honest

foxybrown · 19/04/2007 19:42

Ah, both my boys, bless them we on the due date. (Well, no 2 was 1 hour 42 mins over, but can't hold that against him). Missy DD Number 3, being a girl and a tempermental one at that put me through the mill by being 10 days late. Taught me not to be all smarty-pants! I have no idea what this one will do!

foxybrown · 19/04/2007 19:44

ohh, we get our fair share of celebs in SW18. Mark Thingy from Take That has apparently put his name on the waiting list for our playgroup ooo, get me, rubbing shoulders with the stars! I may sit on a seat he sat on the day before!

derlor · 19/04/2007 19:47

Evening all, i'm in a major good mood tonight as i've just worked my last FULL day prior to maternity leave only tomorrow morning followed by lunch out with everyone to go - yippee!!!!!!
must have been a lovely day with you all today as i see it's been quieter than usual - only took me about 15 mins to catch up!!
i can't believe Annobal saw that yummy man from spooks today - i want to move near you... you should have pretended to go into labour just to see if he came to your rescue!!! - he is a highly trained secret agent after all, surely he could deliver a baby!!!!!!!
i've got my shower pressie all organised and feel a bit smug now - i'm not usually so on time with stuff like this.
i've brought the list of EDDs up from the bottom of the thread so we can start that sweep more easilly - oh look i'm one of the 1st (lots more smugness - watch me go 2 weeks over now!!!!!!!)

How exciting Derlor! Have a great day tomorrow. Hope you get lots of lovely pressies for you (and the baby too, of course!).

derlor · 19/04/2007 19:51

Foxy, i know mark from Take That is the small one but surely he is a bit big for playgroup

OP posts:
foxybrown · 19/04/2007 19:52

lol derlor!!

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 19:53

My friend goes to the same playgroup as the girl who plays Emily in Emmerdale....but Emmerdale is as exciting as it gets around here...not really young enough or hip enough to know where the Kaiser Chiefs or Corrinne Bailey Rae hang out....

Am I being unreasonable to think my boss is out of order? I spoke to him earlier today and gave him my mobile number and contact e-mail address. He's only gone and sent them to everyone in the bloody office.....but nice of him to copy me in on the e-mail..the bloody cheek of the man

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 19:55

Isn't he the gay one?

Not that that would necessarily preclude him from having children she adds hastily before the homphobic backlash begins...can I say that, or am I going to have to sit back and wait for the backlash anyway?

derlor · 19/04/2007 19:56

time for an mobile upgrade and a new email address i'd say!!!

OP posts:
foxybrown · 19/04/2007 19:56
