hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
annobal · 19/04/2007 16:43

Hello everyone! Another really busy day - we went to the park after dropping DS1 to pre-school and Spooks was filming on location there and I saw YUMMY RUPERT (think that is his name - he plays Adam). I was about to send DS2 over with a pen and paper for an autograph but couldn't get him to say autograph

I used to love the Bananasplits. Have you ever looked on Yootube - that's fab as well.

marylou23 · 19/04/2007 17:17

Ooh, he is yummy. And liking the use of children to help you stalk celebrities...

Hot hot hot. Which is great but throws up big dilemma: I love the sun and want to be outside; the sun makes my ankles and feet really puffy and unattractive so I really don't want to be in the sun; but I love the sun and want to be outside.

Life's never easy, is it?

sputnik · 19/04/2007 17:18

Where is everyone today?
Just been lurking on the may thread, they're nothing like as frivolous as us. Should we be taking this more seriously?

sputnik · 19/04/2007 17:20

They can have their uses Marylou.

riabutterflew · 19/04/2007 17:22

Thanks everyone - not so much catching up today so I don't feel I've missed out!
I have bagpuss and the clangers, there's nothing like it. Am quite fond of double deckers too - can you still get them?

marylou what a horrible dream, they really take it out of you don't they. I have to be grateful mine seem to have calmed down a bit too (no more Clarkson passion and thankfully no murdering). I have a lot about my MIL and wake up feeling like I've been crying with a sore throat.

I have had a WONDERFUL DAY.DS2 started off this morning having a paddy about nursery (didn't take him yesterday as I couldn't cope with it) but I got a bit cross for a while, then by the time to go after lunch he was very chilled and rode there on his bike then RAN in from the door. I AM SO PLEASED WITH HIM (it is the first time without a screaming hair-pulling paddy). Have done a lot of walking so not much resting, but am feeling a bit better and have done a couple of little outstanding tidying jobs too. (Not enough for the thoughts of my mum having to come round to help out not to fill me with fear, but it's a start.)

Sorry, long post. Must go and save the boys sausages...

annobal · 19/04/2007 17:23

Ah - they are a whole month earlier than us Sputnik - we can afford to be frivolous.

sputnik · 19/04/2007 17:24

Bagpuss, yesssss!
Glad you had a good day Ria

sputnik · 19/04/2007 17:26

You may be right there Annobal, perhaps it's all part of the denial thing

Seansgirl · 19/04/2007 17:35

Yes, this time next month the mood will have changed somewhat I think

Have managed to stay relatively calm today and not to stroppy - only lost it when DD argued with me about her swimming lesson. She has 1:1s (she is too distuptive in a group ) and is she does well her teacher lets her do something she likes. This usually involves diving as this is her fav. She has had two diving games from my brother for her birthday . I told her she couls take one, but no she wanted to take two ended up me saying " well you cant take either" her " well I'm not going then" " you are mummy has already paid and its not cheap so you're going" Queue sulky tears and pouts (thats both of us)

Thanks Ria, sausages thats waht I'm supposed to be doing....... tea!

annobal · 19/04/2007 17:36

Absolutely. I still think I'm going to sneeze and the baby will come out, and I should know better!! How's your cervix?

Seansgirl · 19/04/2007 17:37

Excuse the typos!

Marylou - I am hoping that partying late at night isn't a sign of things to come............

Seansgirl · 19/04/2007 17:38

Try a peg annobal - on your nose that is

Seansgirl · 19/04/2007 17:39

oooooh!! 913 messages almost time for that fab thread title!! I almost can't wait for the backlash

Seansgirl · 19/04/2007 17:39

Right. sausages. Must be good mother.

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 17:42

God, you lot are hysterical...just spent 20 mins catching up, PMSL all the while. connection still very very dodgy, but I seem to have a small window of opportunity....who knows how long I'll be on for....Our telly was playing stupid buggers last night too, and we had a power cut....gremlins are us. but I did soend a lovely 20 mins complaining to the poor chap on the telly helpline and telling hima that Virgin were rubbish and that he should be ashamed to admit he works for them!!!Going to try that on customer services later....

Love the proposed new thread title....some people just make you laugh don't they....bet one of her kids is called Tarquin, LOL (oops, hope that isn't on anyones list).

Just noticed that the modem is flashing at me again (means not working)...I'll have to save this for sending later...just wish the farking modem was in the same room...mind you all this running back and forward is keeping me fit The most annoying thing about it all though is I've got no excuse for NOT doing the bloody housework now.....GRRRR

I've been dringking loads of diet coke...but the caffiene free one. I got really worried about the artificial sweetner though and googled it...apparently you'd have to drink more than 14 cans a day to exceed the recommended amount of aspartame. Even I couldn't get through that much, and we don't buy artificially sweetened juices or anythng so I reckon I'm safe.....and as someone said...surely it's better than a gin and tonic!!!

Got my pressie to send my secret showeree yesterday...it's so gorgeous I'm going to have to order fo myself too. Also got my designer nappy carrier...bit disappointing as its a bit flimsy andnot as big...can't see getting 4 nappies and travel wipes in, but the pattern is lovely...

Sorry long post, don't know when I'll be able to again....

annobal · 19/04/2007 17:42

Looking forward to the new title. Think we should try and hit 1000 first?? I think chicken will now be consistency of leather - supper...

annobal · 19/04/2007 17:45

Daisy - thanks for the info on diet coke - I feel I can now justify. Hope your connection gets better.

sputnik · 19/04/2007 17:45

Perhaps I should peg up my cervix.
Won't know really what it's up to until may 7, assuming events don't overtake us. Had a few mild BHs, don't know if I should worry seeing all the drugs I'm on that are meant to stop contractions. Maybe I'll call the gynae at some point.

annobal · 19/04/2007 17:46

I have peg on standby. Just a bugger that it's hayfever season...

sputnik · 19/04/2007 17:49

Can't wait for the new title either, looks like it won't be long now.

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 17:52

I bought a DVD of all the episodes of Rhubarb and Custard...for me and DS has hi-jacked it. He kills himself laughing at it, and Roadrunner....which he used to call Why Cyliote.....

Just been having an argument wiht DS over who gets the strawberry yoghurt....none of us really like it in this house, but there's always strawberry in multipacks....and I always seem to get landed with it as I sacrifice the nicer flavours to my loved ones....bah humbug...

auntymandy · 19/04/2007 17:52

cant believe how quickly the time is flying!
I am due end of june so some of you have only about 5 weeks to go!!! and babies do come early so we could see the first June Baby in about 3 or 4 weeks!!!

annobal · 19/04/2007 17:53

How are you auntymandy? How is pg going??

annobal · 19/04/2007 17:54

Daisy - I don't think the baby likes strawberry

Daisybump · 19/04/2007 17:55

Hi Auntymandy, not seen your name for a while and hope all is well with you......Can't believe you just said that....now going to worry hysterically as the house isn't nearly ready for babies.....

We should have a sweepstake on who will be first......
