hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
marylou23 · 18/04/2007 21:19

That's fab news, Seansgirl.

Why do people disagree with Sarah Beeny? I mean, are they mad?! He was a total arse, yes. Felt very bad when I was grinning and saying 'yes' because his stupid development went wrong. Hah!! (Okay, didn't feel that bad... )

marylou23 · 18/04/2007 21:19

The fab news being re. the scan, not re. the fact that you also have no laptop...

hollyandalice · 18/04/2007 21:21

Luckily dp has a laptop with work, I love it! I can lie on the sofa, watch ugly betty and chat on mn!

Glad everything is ok seansgirl, sounds like lo is fattening up nicely! Hope you feel better and less worried now.

Am going to have some porridge now, it is cranberry and raspberry so there's 2 of my 5 a day! Hooray!

hollyandalice · 18/04/2007 21:24

I don't watch property ladder any more as ugly betty is on at the same time, but it always pisses me off when people don't listen to Sarah! In fact I often find myself shouting at the tv because it irritates me so much! She knows what she's talking about ffs just listen to her advice! Grrrr....

bumperlicious · 18/04/2007 21:25

Yay seansgirl! All good then!

DH and I had cinnamon and raisin english muffins for dinner - raisins definitely a fruit! Well, I'm going to settle down in bed and red my Active Birth book, it's actually really good, makes a lot of sense, plus am feeling less grossed out by the birthing pictures, in fact more distracted by the v 70s hair cuts on the men!

Back to work tomorrow Hope I have a better night, but on the plus side I have a new dress to wear which will make it more bearable!

foxybrown · 18/04/2007 21:32

good luck tomorrow bumperlicious - we'll miss you on here. You'd better tell DH to do dinner tomorrow night, you'll be catching up on the days events on this thread!

I'm off for a cup of horlicks and my bed.

Good night m'dears!

hollyandalice · 18/04/2007 21:45

Night foxy!

Hope you have a good day at work bumper...not long and you won't have to worry about it for a while!

Before my dd went to bed she came and gave my bump a kiss and said "goodnight baby will!" I did shead a tear, she's sooo cute! William is our name now and we can't change our minds as dd calls him that!

riabutterflew · 18/04/2007 22:06

your dd is cute holly. It's so nice when they're happy. DS2 won't clear out any of his toys because he's saving them for the baby (but I know this is just selfishness on his part! Bless).

Must get down to dealing with the naming issue soon. DH has chosen his favourites, but they are not mine. Am hoping it will look like something particular and we'll "just know". Made the mistake of taking DS1 to see "Joseph..." (the musical)so he's quite into Joseph or Jacob for a boy and he suggested Daphne for a girl - WTF? (I do have one of the brothers names picked out because of it's meaning} DH is convinced we're having a girl so we don't even seem to be discussing boys. DS2 thinks signpost or window are good names!!!

Tonight I am going to sign out early and assume "resting" position on the sofa before DH gets in from work (whats the betting I'll be there a long time before he gets back...). Have a restful sleep and a lovely day tomorrow everyone. Hopefully I will be awol as I will be fully rested and have a new lease of life and will be virtuously cleaning

Seansgirl · 18/04/2007 22:28

Night night girls and bumps hope all sleep well.

Ria cleaning - tsk tsk! will never do you're letting the side down!

Am going to try to be better Mother tomorrow and not so grumpy with DD!

doggus · 18/04/2007 22:34

On names - H&A, I love William, it was my dad's name but dh disagrees. And ria - I quite like Daphne (sorry) - it reminds me of Frasier.

Seangirl - well done on weight gain, excellent news. You have set me off, as Chiggley rings a bell with me too. What was it? Does anyone remember the Double-Deckers?

Foxy - brilliant idea on teacher gifts. No-one can argue with that!

Bumper - do lots of twirls in your new dress tomorrow.

Night all - I have recorded the Apprentice so am off to shout 'You twunts' at the screen.

Seansgirl · 19/04/2007 08:55

Morning!

No, sorry don't remember the double deckers, but one of my favs was Mr Ben!

Am so far not too grumpy. Which is surprising as it was my turn not to sleep, I just couldn't settle had restless legs and then (Marylou you're absolutely right on this!) Bean was having a complete house party! This is the first time he/she has thrashed around so vigourously, DD certainly never did! And like all house parties it went on.... for about 2 hours I think, at the end I was feeling a bit woozy Anyway, am not really complaining, I just wish it was more consistent and not really quite and then like Marylou says - Mania!!

Have a good day in sun girls

Seansgirl · 19/04/2007 08:57

Quite? I mean quiet dur!

hollyandalice · 19/04/2007 09:07

I remember double deckers chocolate bars, does that count?

Nasty wicked bh's, really painful today, usually just tightenings, but really ouchy this morning!

IKWYM about being grumpy seansgirl! I keep getting cross with my dd too. She is a very naughty girl, but I keep getting overly cranky with her and then I feel really bad.

More sunshine today , enjoy it everyone x

marylou23 · 19/04/2007 09:11

Blimey, am traumatised. Had the most horrible nightmare last night about the birth - was in hospital, couldn't get hold of DH but his PARENTS turned up and were very put out when I asked them to leave, the nurse in my room was smoking and looked really pissed off when I asked her to put it out... THen I decided to go for a walk and the next thing I knew I was several miles away from the hospital bent over double because of contractions... had to beg a shop owner to drive me back to hospital - then there were about fifteen people in my delivery suite all talking to each other as I was trying to have the baby, and once it was born, it was whipped away and I was screaming for them to give it back... Oh, and it was a girl. WHich was kind of strange (3 scans have said 'boy'). Had to take a few deep breaths this morning...

And there I was thinking I was pretty relaxed about the whole thing...

Funnily enough, the actual giving birth bit wasn't too troubling in my dream. So I guess that's something... All I have to do is make sure DH carries a walkie-talkie with him at all times, cigarettes are confiscated on the door and a bouncer is placed outside the delivery suite to keep intruders out!

marylou23 · 19/04/2007 09:12

Seansgirl, glad bean is partying again. You just have to have a word and explain that 5pm would be a more appropriate time...

sputnik · 19/04/2007 09:53

That sounds nasty Marylou. Hopefully none of it'll come true, but if your birth is anything like mine was you probably will find about 15 people (or so it seems) in the room at the most exciting part of the birth. But at that point you probably won't care.

Seansgirl, glad your bump has put on a growth spurt. I also have a huge fondness for Mr Ben, I just got DD the complete Mr Ben off Amazon. Was shocked to find "complete" was a mere 14 episodes! Resisted Trumpton for the moment but did get her The Clangers too. It's DVDs all the way for DD as TV here is crap, so I use it as a flagrant excuse for nostalgia.

sputnik · 19/04/2007 09:54

Oh and H&A, take it easy fgs

hollyandalice · 19/04/2007 10:00

It's ok they've stopped now! It felt as if someone had punched me in the tummy for a while there!

Horrible dream marylou, I can sympathise! Mine seem to have eased off for now, but for a while I was getting some shockers. It's really horrible because even though you know they're not real you can't help thinking about them.

sputnik · 19/04/2007 11:00

I mean in general, you don't want to end up like me.

Now that I think about it I haven't had any dreams for ages

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/04/2007 11:01

Oh - used to love the Double Deckers ...sings 'Come and join, come and join, come and join the Double Deckers'. Can you get it on DVD? And whatever happened to the Red Hand Gang?

My last day on the sick today so am going to go for a swim and tidy the house. Am to go back to work - more to do with getting up @ 7am when I've been in my scratcher till 10 these last 4 weeks. Still, only 3 weeks till go on Mat leave - yay

sputnik · 19/04/2007 11:52

Can't find either on Amazon

sputnik · 19/04/2007 11:54

Or the banana splits

hollyandalice · 19/04/2007 12:07

This is the best website ever! All the best shows from the 70's and 80's! If you click on sound files at the side you can listen to all the theme tunes! I'm listening to Dogtanian atm!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/04/2007 14:17

Na na na, na na na na, na na na na na na na. OMG I'll be doing that all day now.

TALLULAHBELLE · 19/04/2007 14:26

Great website H&A. But my computer won't play the tunes or clips .
