I know what you mean Bumper, tho besides MN is there anything else? There is shopping of course, um.... chocolate (or anything that takes your fancy for that matter) scoffing, and um, yes well um the telly I suppose?

Have you got anything nice planned while you are a lady of leisure? Maybe lunch out? A bit of pampering maybe?

Where is Foxy then?

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 20:45

Evening everyone!

Had a lovely day, went to B&Q and bought my slug pellets, but have to wait for my tomatoes plants as they are not in yet. Whilst we were in there dp asked if we needed anything else and I said I wasn't sure. So we wandered round aimlessly for a while and when we got to the paints dp said he wanted to get some paint for the living room!! I nearly fainted as he is a bit workshy ! He said he is going to paint it next weekend and then we can sand the floorboards in a couple of weeks [thud emoticon as I faint again]!! So we got the paint! I'm really excited about not having white walls! I fricking hate my white walls!

I need to keep off the internet. I have just placed another Vertbaudet order. Oops! Bumper I still haven't had my customer number from La Redoute yet. I'm assuming it's because of the holiday so hopefully it should come tomorrow or wed. As soon as I have it I'll email you.

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 20:45

Well, I've just managed to waste 2.5 hours on ebay! I have a spa day that I got from DH which I might do next week. The only thing is that with part of the spa day you can use the spa facilities like the hydrotherapy pool only I can't use any of it because I'm pg. I didn't realise the only pool was a hydrotherapy pool (it's heated to 36 degrees and has jets - I can't use it can I?) and they don't put any caveats in the brochure. The advertise this mothers-to-be day, you thing they'd say you can't use any of the other facilities. Am gutted as I was looking forward a bit of a swim, lounging by the pool - looks like I'll just be lounging! I actually cried when they told me - not coping with disappointment well at the moment!

fatcatkin · 09/04/2007 20:53

Bumper,

I'd double check with the spa place about the hydro pool. I go in our school pool which is heated to about 36 degrees and I'm sure this is about the cut off point for safe temperature. Anyway, I've been fine using ours. I think the main thing (once you've ascertained that it's 'allowed' so to speak!)is to make sure you're comfortable with the temperature and that there's always someone else around.

If you can't use it (or any of the other facilities)them speak to them about having extra things to make up for it or a partial refund of what has already been paid. I went to Center Parcs last year and because there was so much I couldn't use in the Aqua Sana, I just had to pay a fiver instead of about 35!!

derlor · 09/04/2007 20:57

Why can't you use it?
birthing pools are heated to 37 degrees ie body temp for the baby to be born into.
NOT that i'm suggesting you go to the hydro pool and deliver your baby but YKWIM!!!!!

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 21:05

I would use it bumper. It is only before 12 weeks I think you are not suppose to use hot tubs or saunas as raising your body temp can cause birth defects. Your bubs is fully formed now so it won't cause you any harm. I have boiling hot baths and didn't realise you weren't supposed to until I was over 12 weeks! 36 degrees isn't too hot, I just found an article about it and it says it's only a danger if the water is above 107 farenheit and you stay in the water for a prolonged period of time. 36 degrees is only 98 farenheit. The article also said that as long as the water isn't too hot then hot tubs can be benefical as the jets help circulation and prevent DVT!

derlor · 09/04/2007 21:07

go for it bumper, jump on in
God i'm bored!!!!!!!!!!!

OP posts:
bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 21:13

Really, you think so? That'll make my day! Just have to convince them that I won't be giving birth in their pool! They said on the phone that there was the risk of premature birth I must admit I am a bit of a terror for hot baths too H&A, I love baths!

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 21:17

I replied to your email btw seansgirl

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 21:18

Do some shopping derlor! Vertbaudet always cures my boredom!

I'm sure I have baths that are hotter than 36 degrees. That is the same temp as a hot summer day and my baths are hotter than that. I don't even put the cold tap on! I don't think I've gone into labour yet! Maybe you could ask your mw or gp for a letter saying you are ok to use the tub. I think you are just as likely to have your baby in the bath as in their pool.

derlor · 09/04/2007 21:29

are you planning a water birth Bumper?
if so just keep your voucher till nearer the time and kill 2 birds with one stone!!!!
that WOULD give them something to talk about!!
I am actually SO bored and hacked off that i don't even feel like shopping - only shoes and pj's really fit me at the mo anyway - not a good look!!

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:29

Thanks Bumper am happy now

Derlor, I am bored too - and DH has given me a 'pass' to be on MN as he wants to watch some saddo show about bodybuilding women! Why Why Why?

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 21:38

I am actually delor - and the spa looks like the perfect place to do it, all low lighting, candles and aromatherapy. Plus my yoga teacher works there (I don't see him there - I see him in a smelly college gym - and now in my living room ) and he is a qualified antenatal yoga teacher so I would be onto a winner!

Can't wait though, never done the spa thing before.

I'm pretty bored too, just watching relocation, relocation but the shine has gone of it since my friends recently went on it and told us all about it.

Hmm, think I'm going to have a chocolate ice lolly (one of those low fat ones !)

derlor · 09/04/2007 21:39

Yikes SG that's a bit scary!!??
does he have that expectation of you?
whenever i think of body building i think of that HORRENDOUS jason character from big brother a couple of years ago YEUGHKOEEUAKLJDFJJVLEEEWWWW

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:40

Do you think the DH/DPs must be getting the nesting thing?

I really can't believe DH is considering: a new table chairs for dinning room (+ painting it too) and changing some of our garden! [faint] He has agreed to painting the lounge too!!

So what colour are you having Holly? Are you going to see if you can get anything else thrown in while he is in the mood?

derlor · 09/04/2007 21:40

OOhh spill the beans what did your friends say about it?

OP posts:
derlor · 09/04/2007 21:42

waaaa getting chatty now my question was in reference to relocation relocation.

OP posts:
Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:44

I have asked him that Derlor and he says no, but he says he finds it revolting but in a fascinating yuky way!

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 21:46

Interesting choice of show for your dh seansgirl! Mine is watching football, well that makes a change!

I have not been shopping for me derlor, that would just be depressing! I have been using loads of discount codes and getting free stuff from Vertbaudet!! So far I have placed one order for this sleeping bag which is a special purchase at £7.99 (should be £30). I put an £8 discount code in and got it for free! I've also ordered this gorgeous rug for free, a readybed for £8.99 and some t-shirts for dd plus a free rabbit toy and a free cd player toy! I am spanking these codes, let's hope they don't tell me off!!

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:46

I've always thought Phil must be giving her one myself But I'm sure that wasn't it.

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 21:48

Woah x-post city!! The living room is going to be a warm beige colour. A bit boring, but it goes with the furniture. I can't believe my dp wants to do the floor too!! It must be some sort of male nesting instinct!

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:48

Have you used different customer numbers Holly? or just placed seperate orders?

I used a code off your website this afternoon BTW, 20% off ELC which was pretty cool as got free delivery too!

Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 21:49

Oh go for the kill Holly, if he is saying floor......... why stop there?

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 21:51

Just placed seperate orders. I can see from other MN posts that they only cancel your orders if you use the same code more than once. I have a long list of codes, so don't need to use them again. It is great and I love the stuff from Vertbaudet, it is lovely and bright without being tacky!
