Hi!!!!!!

derlor · 08/04/2007 21:36

my hobbies and interests all centre round my family too - i don't think this is sad just the way it should be anyway Holly/Seansgirl you have us

I suppose all sahms feel the same way. It's my own fault, I can't bear toddler groups and neither can my dd, so we don't really socialise with other mums and children!

foxybrown · 08/04/2007 21:41

found you! Same for me, don't have hobbies as such - but I do put alot of effort into my children, my home, I'm putting a lot more into myself (I defuzzed my legs yesterday!!), and I will but more effort into my DP and relationship. That, with this, is all of my time taken up!!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 08/04/2007 21:45

Same here foxy (well except the house, it's a bit of a mess). My dd and my dp are my life and I love them to bits and love looking after them. I do look after myself sometimes, I painted my toenails today! Thought I'd better do them before I can no longer reach!

catkin555 · 08/04/2007 21:46

Hello!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 08/04/2007 21:47

Hi catkin!!

My dp has just seen the pics of my dd on my profile and is all offended coz there is not one of him on there! Bless him! I'm going to put one on now to make him feel better!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 08/04/2007 21:48

Or our dd, she's not just mine !

catkin555 · 08/04/2007 21:49

I love family and home stuff!! DH sometimes tries to encourage me to do more outside of home but I really prefer it here!

I'm hoping i'll still feel the same once this LO arrives!

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 08/04/2007 21:53

Home is the best! Where else can you wear trackies bottoms or pjs all day and no-one cares! My dp loves that I'm at home all the time. He works from home and is always popping in and out and I'm always here to make him food and give him kisses when he gets home!

foxybrown · 08/04/2007 21:55

Hello Catkin, I'm sure you will - if not moreso! I've always been a homebody, but now I work really hard at it for my family. I get so much out of being a SAHM, most of all fulfillment (sp?).

Anyway, I'm off to my bed. Apparently DD is already there sleeping, which was a surprise to us! No biting the bullet tonight then!

Nite nite all you lovely ladies.

Thanks for this. xx

catkin555 · 08/04/2007 21:59

Oooh yes, I love my trackie bottoms and PJs! And i really love my home too! (even if it is in need of a bit of a clean at the moment!)

Just been out for Tapas and feeling very full and uncomfortable. Think I may go and lie on floor for a while....

'night Foxy...xx

derlor · 08/04/2007 22:01

hollyandtheeasterbunny · 08/04/2007 22:06

Well if everyone else is off then I am too!! Sleep well, goodnight xx

hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 09:48

Good morning everyone!

I have been up since 5.45 as my dd had a nightmare I think. She was screaming and sobbing even when I picked her up, poor little lamb! She was saying "bose" over and over again. I don't know what bose is, but it's clearly scary!

We are going to b&q in a bit to buy grow bags and tomato plants. Dp is moaning that he has to get dressed and go out! He's so bloody lazy!

Hope everyone has a lovely day in the sunshine x

derlor · 09/04/2007 09:51

morning holly and everyone else - it's raining here in Scotland so i think i'll just stay in and eat chocolate today!!!

OP posts:
hollyandalice · 09/04/2007 09:53

Oh no! Poor Scotland! Shall I try and waft the clouds away for you?

derlor · 09/04/2007 09:59

to be honest Holly, i'm not that bothered at the fact that it is raining. I'm feling really fat and bloated and the baby has discovered how to do somersaults, so i've not slept too well. So, a day lazing about the house sounds not too bad!!!!
I can't remember feeling this immoblie this early in my previous pg's not cut out for this any more i think!!!

OP posts:
catkin555 · 09/04/2007 10:52

Bless you Derlor,
I think a day lazing about the house sounds fab. I've just spent the past couple of hours sitting in an armchair watching DH do garden jobs. I feel as though i've really accomplished something even though he did all the work!

Hope your DD has got over her nightmare now Holly! Enjoy B&Q!

I'm off to find something useful to do....

catkin555 · 09/04/2007 10:53

...or eat chocolate and lie on sofa!!

TALLULAHBELLE · 09/04/2007 11:06

Shit, shit, shit - new thread and I haven't finished reading the last one. Can't keep up with you guys. Every time I check in there's a thousand new posts.

derlor · 09/04/2007 17:42

evening all, how was your sunny day in England? still raining here!!!!

OP posts:
Seansgirl · 09/04/2007 17:54

Hiya, You're right home is best, and I do love my home comforts. And I have great virtual mates on here that!

How are you Derlor? Just a quick check in for me as DH is on prowl..... was sunny here (Birmingham way) until early afternoon, it looks very dodgy now...... DD keeps saying "I think its going to rain mum"

Have not done a lot today really, unfortunately have not scoffed chocolate as am still managing just to keep heart burn at bay.

derlor · 09/04/2007 17:58

hi SG nightmare about heartburn - get yourself some 'lovehearts' - works a treat.
to be honest i've not eaten much chocolate today either - just a wee nibble of DD's egg when she wasn't looking
i'll make up for it later......

bumperlicious · 09/04/2007 18:19

Evening all, been quiet over the last few days hasn't it. Still doesn't keep me off though! I'm thoroughly addicted! DH has gone to his mum's for the night and don't quite know what to do with myself! Feel I should make the most of it as he rarely goes away. But a bit spoilt for time with my 2 weeks off anyway. I really should make the most of it as this is probably literally the last night I will spend on my own for a long time. But you know when it comes down to actually relaxing and doing nothing you always have that nagging feeling that you should be doing something...
