Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AbbyLou · 09/04/2007 14:05

Our sun has disappeared! It's still warm and fairly bright though so baby clothes washing continues.
Congrats to your friend Cameroon - what a whopper. I had ds one at 37+4 and he was only 6lb 7 so she would have had a real biggie!
Some friends who we don't see very oftenhave just texted and said they're passing through later on and would we be in. Yes I said, be lovely to see you, and then I came downstaris and was reminded about the state of the house. Lord alone nkows why I'm now sitting here wiling away the hours but it seems easier than getting started on housework!
Ooh, sun's coming out, I'm off!

cameroonmama · 09/04/2007 14:16

She is certain her dates were right, imagine how enormous he would be had she gone to term

Our sun is coming out too Abbey, enjoy your guests, noone will notice the house The dc are driving me mad (whoever said chocolate doesn't make them go bonkers?) and so I have settled them down to the Sound of Music, while I creosote a door. Don't you just love those old classics? We are big fans of Chitty too..

MrsJB, how lovely to be in shorts, my ankles and in fact my whole legs are soooooo hairy I have had to book in for a leg wax, which like SOH, comes into my never have done before category, it's not really painful is it? Is it? By the way, Jorja Mai is lovely and there are certainly none around here, not that you are either

AbbyLou · 09/04/2007 14:25

Well lounge and dining room are done - after a fashion.
I have suddenly realised that if this weather continues for the next 5 weeks I will need to buy more maternity clothes. I've got nothing short sleeved and no cropped trousers or anything like that. It seems such a waste of money to buy more now.
Mrsjb I am a teacher and have only come across one Jorja but don't know what her middle name was. I know her parents did always have to explain how it was spelt all the time as people just assumed it was the usual way.

LupinsBigLump · 09/04/2007 14:54

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/04/2007 15:16

Lupins are you still there.......

It's not major tricky to post a pic but takes a bit of practice. You can do it on your profile, go to my registration and set it up in there, you can also select the mummies you want to see it then, ie, enter all the may mummies and only we will be able to view your profile.

Or you can go to the topic, member profiles, you have to write what you want to, name the conversation and click create conversation it then gives you an option to insert a picture, click on the link and then it asks you to browse your pics from you pc and select the file/pic you want. It takes a few minutes usually to up load the pic.

Oh please try when you have chance......

IF it won't work, then I'd be happy to try to post it for you, you could e-mail it to me at cath dot cox at neuf dot fr thats not my usuall Mn e-mail but it's easier to receive a photo on there than on my hotmail account.

LupinsBigLump · 09/04/2007 15:51

MJB have emailed you and attached pics, sorry brain being dumb - let me know if you need any more info to set up pics

They were taken this morning, lisa xx

MKG · 09/04/2007 15:54

TYG I love 28 days later, I watched over and over while pg with ds. I was very into horror movies with him for some reason. This one I can't seem to stomach them.

Well Easter Ham was delish, and I made a pumpkin cake with a pumpkin cream cheese frosting that was even better. I ate two slices for breakfast.

I know that this baby is head down because last night I felt his hiccups and I swear he was trying to bust out of my fanjo. Every time I felt a hiccup he would bump my nether regions as his pounding his way out.

Even though I'm only 33+2 I feel like I'm 36 and ready to give birth any day.

Lupins, Congrats! and I'm glad to hear that everything is going well.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/04/2007 16:33

aprilmeadow · 09/04/2007 17:00

Lupins - Arlen is gorgeous! Wills is just a mini you!! Thanks MrsJB for uploading them.

Just had an exciting trip to Toysrus, only went in to order J's birthday present. We have got him a play house and it came with ha free slide, rocker and quad bike thing. They had it in stock and wheeled it to my car. The poor lad had to unpack the house and slide and do some creative packing. Once that was in we had to dismantle the buggy - thank god for p&t's where the wheels come off. Had to move the car seat into the front and fold down all the rear seats. It only just fitted!!

AbbyLou · 09/04/2007 17:38

Lupin your lo is so gorgeous. You must be so proud. He looks a really good size too. Hope you have him home with you before too long.

Juicylucytoo · 09/04/2007 17:38

Lupins - Arlen is beautiful. You must be so loved up.

Think Pod has turned the wrong way. Am getting kicked in different places to before. Will have to wait for anti-natal appt next week to see, but I think he's lying side to side. Although could be imagining it of course.

Hope everyone had a fab Easter. Just wish my ML would hurry up and start. 22 more days at work...

MKG · 09/04/2007 17:55

Lupins you have a cutie pie there! Do you know when he may be able to go home?

aprilmeadow · 09/04/2007 18:38

Poor dh has been taken out into the garden by ds and has been made to sit on the smallest chair in the world in the playhouse. His knees are almost up to his chin and its quite clostraphobic! They do look very cute though!

twelveyeargap · 09/04/2007 18:57

Oh yay, a lovely baby Lupins! THanks Mrs JB.

Well, here's what I get for buying a "classic" car. Sat in Homebase carpark all afternoon while the AA tried to start it. Ended up being towed home - possibly with immobiliser problem. Doh.

Does anyone have Scooter and/ or ShowOfHand's mobile numbers? We're supposed to be meeting tomorrow and haven't arranged anything which is rather foolish. Have tried LG&T, but she doesn't have her usual phone. twelveyeargap at googlemail dot com if anyone can help. Thanks!

aprilmeadow · 09/04/2007 18:57

New pic on profile!

cinnamontam · 09/04/2007 19:12

Lupins he is gorgeous Looks so healthy and huggable

Still in Scotland but heading back to London tomorrow. Just got on very quickly to see how everyone was doing and make sure there had been no more babies bursting out early.

Happy Easter all! For those still at work hope the week isn't too hideous (I have 13 more days to go and counting) and for those on maternity leave - I look forward to joining you soon. Go easy on the nesting and cleaning!!

SOH - hanging out of windows honestly!!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/04/2007 19:23

Lovely playhouse J, daddy looks very squashed in there.

TYG, am e-mailing you now.

twelveyeargap · 09/04/2007 20:13

Very cute pic AM.

Anyone, anyone with said phone numbers... Come in please. Over.

LupinsBigLump · 09/04/2007 20:16

MJB thanks so much for doing my pics

AM willow and I look like twins as little girls, my mum reckon Arlen looks like me as a baby, hope J likes his presents

Thanks for all your lovely messages, no idea when I will be able to take him home - tbh he is sooo tiny and cute I would worry about having him home yet - wasnt like this with dd altho she was a giant 4lb 15 lol, she did seem more scrawny than him tho, and yes I am soooooo loved up with him, really missed him today not just being able to pop and see him, still just a few more hour till tomorrow and I can go back

So whose going to be next!!!!

aprilmeadow · 09/04/2007 20:23

Think its a race between Sky & Jess (hope she is settling into her new house well). They are due end of this month. Then i think it might be me.......

scootermum · 09/04/2007 20:38

all,

Our first baby pic..he's gorgeous Lupins..Oh, quite honestly its bought a tear to my eye to think the babies will soon be coming thick and fast and this time will be over-we are going to have a post natal thread as well arent we?!

Largegandt have got home and found the calling card for the P and t, so I will call the depot tomorrow and see what I have to do to get hold of it..DH will post off your cheque tomorrow too..Hope you had a lovely picernic! Is it today your lo's are back?bet you are excited to seem them?!

TYG-Will email you shortly on your google-I dont think SOH has a mobile does she?(did she say that once?)So hopefuly she will post.. about your motor..Typical of when you get a new car..My old ka broke down the day after I got it..gutted..bet you looked lovely in your sun frock hon..I cant watch 28 days later-theres a bit in it where he goes to a church and the priest is in there and chases him, it gives me the total willies! Also think there is a new film out called The Messengers?About babies and kids being able to see the paranormal and thats what they are doing when they ie stare into space or whatever, as they all do from time to time..Even the advert freaks me out and now I keep eyeing dd suspiciously everytime I see her waving into the corner or laughing at 'nothing'..

v jealous of your pool Mrs JB..thanks for posting Lups pics as well..and how cute is your lo kissing your belly..dd pinches mine at times, but think she is just that little bit too little to appreciate what it is..hope so anyway!

Where in Sheffield are you Dr?Im originally from a village nr Chesterfield and I love Sheffield..Congrats to you and in these shoes on your mat leave starting-7 more working days for me!

DH has been nagging me to do my hosp bag-think he has finally realised I am going to have another baby pretty soon!Impressed with your birth announcements though MKG!That is the epitome of organisation..

DH has said I can shell out on leaving dd at childminders a few days a week from when im off till the baby arrives if I want-feel pretty guilty about it as Id sooner she was with me really but maybe I will need the rest..Abby your post made me think it might just be nice to have one or two days to myself-even if just to organaise a bit for the new baby..(who am i kidding-to watch the OC really..)

Sorry if Ive missed anyone off..
Glad everyone seems to have had a lovely Easter anyway!

DH is glued to Americas next top model at the moment-he is such a woman!

We have had an odd thing happen tonight-the people who made an asking price offer on our house a while ago, (but who hadnt sold theirs) came to the door to say they really love the house and still desperately want it, and have now had an offer on theirs which they have accepted. We have accepted a slightly lower one on our house but with the stipulation that they booked in their survey by Easter-which they have not done, although the estate agent says they have written to their solicitor..so what to do?would feel awful about allowing some gazumping to go on, but we are in no position to turn away extra money to be honest-plus our buyer didnt yet meet our stipulation..But the other thing is, felt so sorry for the peeps that came round this eve as they obviously really love the house..
oh what to do?

Baby has been jumping up and down on my bladder all day, little tinker-certainly made for an uncomfortable journey home from parents anyway!

scootermum · 09/04/2007 20:40

I hope my one is on time and no earlier.DH has his last exam on the due date!

twelveyeargap · 09/04/2007 21:01

But she's going to have to find an interweb cafe or something! I just assumed she had a mobile. Actually, I think LG&T has the number... she just can't get at it at the moment as it's in her phone and she has no charger for the phone. Her SIM is in N's phone. Bugger anyway. I should have sorted this out last week.
