Looking forward to early scans, seeing the first flutters and progressing further into the first trimester.

I have just had a scan (7+4). It's part of my treatment plan as I had PGD treatment. Anyway, I saw the wee Sticky Bean and it's heart was beating. Incredible!!!!!! Can't quite believe it!!!

Some lovely news here! Congratulations Pheonix I'm so happy that all is well.

Frumplet they date from the first day of your last period so by the time you conceive you're usually 14 days pregnant. It's odd, but that's how they do it. It sounds like you're spot on your dates.

lorz80 congratulations lovely scan pic, you must be thrilled.

I'm sorry so many others are feeling ill, I hope you start to feel better soon.

My symptoms are rapidly disappearing which is very disconcerting. It's exactly what happened with my mmc, for the life of me I can't remember if it also happened with my DD. So worried I'm going to have a scan in a week and there won't be a heartbeat. Must focus on other things and keep busy!

MotherOfBoy · 12/10/2017 17:36

doublechocolate my symptoms went at 10/11 weeks with DS so try not to worry. The placenta takes over around then which reduces symptoms so it could just be that. I’ve noticed a reduction in sickness in last few days (9 weeks today) and generally feel much better despite indigestion!

PhoenixDown · 12/10/2017 17:54

doublechocolate I'm only 8 weeks tomorrow and my nausea is much improved - last week it was horrendous and I couldn't move my head without wanting to puke. I was worried obviously with the threatened miscarriage but baby all well today at scan, so hopefully it's the case for you. I sympathise as I also had mmc with loss of symptoms. Symptoms do come and go, last week my boobs were hardly sore for a few days and I was really upset but they're much more tender again now. Just hate this early stage so much, it's so worrying isn't it?

HerSymphonyAndSong · 12/10/2017 18:26

Lovely news Phoenix and lorz80!

LadyPug · 12/10/2017 18:32

Hooray lorz lovely scan photo! I’m so uplifted that other people are starting to not feel sick already, that gives me hope, this is my worst week yet!!!

MotherOfBoy · 12/10/2017 18:49

ladypug my worst weeks we’re definitely 5w-7w so fingers crossed you feel better soon!

LadyPug · 12/10/2017 18:51

Thanks Mother I’m halfway through week 8 but last time weeks 8 and 9 were worst and week 11 it slowly started to improve so I’m hoping it’s the same here as right now feel like death warmed up!!!

Rubyshoes2 · 12/10/2017 20:03

I only started feeling sick in week 7 and it's just got worse since then. Am 9+5 today. Feel fine in the mornings, a bit queasy in the afternoon then awful all evening. Try not to feel too sorry for myself as I know some have it all day long, but it's bloody rubbish. I miss meals and am sick of crackers and bread!

LadyPug · 12/10/2017 20:12

Same here ruby got bad sickness at week 6 and it’s just steadily got worse! It’s bad all day but definitely ramps up around 3pm and by 9pm I’m hanging! All I’m eating is Skips and breadsticks!

Doublechocolatetiffin · 12/10/2017 20:24

That's reassuring @phoneix and @motherofboy I'll be 10 weeks on Saturday so maybe it's just normal that my symptoms are disappearing 🤞🏻I had some spotting at exactly 10 weeks with my mmc so I'm just on tenterhooks for the next few days to see if it happens again. It's so worrying isn't it, these first 12 weeks are the worse.

Noredwine · 12/10/2017 20:46

Phoenix - such amazing news! Congratulations Smile
Lorz - lovely scan picture! So lovely when you see the heart beat for the first time x

timeisnotaline · 12/10/2017 23:43

Glad you're back phoenix , and lovely scan lorz
Hope you're feeling a bit better dorotha - while pregnancy can be like that it does sound quite like food poisoning.if you get too dehydrated you should get to the gp though.
I am so sick of waiting! Booking appt next week (8 weeks) and going to try and keep it from work till 12 weeks and I know it's healthy but hate people thinking this tired off my game version of me who arrives at 10 am is me ... it makes me look bad and I really wanted to ace this project but now I can't be arsed

Californiadreaming15 · 13/10/2017 09:59

My nausea has progressed to sickness over the last week (11+2). I feel like I’ve gone in to hibernation the only people that know are work (been signed off due to feeling immensely shit) and parents (we are living with them whilst doing up a house). I’ve just avoided seeing all my friends. Feeling so sorry for myself, pretty much living in bed. I’m so hoping it subsided for trimester 2.

I had so many ideas of being healthy during pregnancy but I can’t eat anything other than toast.

Gyoza · 13/10/2017 10:09

Hope all of you with bad sickness start to feel better soon, my tiredness seems to have eased off this week (8 weeks). Pondering whether to go for a private reassurance scan at the weekend, but worried that if it is bad news then it’s not a great environment to be told , if you know what I mean?

LadyPug · 13/10/2017 10:45

Bleugh here. So sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, why is it draggggging so much?!

tiramisualwaystiramisu · 13/10/2017 10:47

Sorry to hear about pukey ones. My nausea has disappeared, I'm just shattered. I do remember having virtually no symptoms at 12 week scan last time though - was half expecting not to see anything

LadyPug · 13/10/2017 11:38

How far along are you tiramisu

CaptainsCat · 13/10/2017 14:40

My nausea is rapidly clearing up now too, I am 10+1. Panic googling suggests this is a common time for symptoms to subside as the placenta starts to take over, however I am still worried! Last pregnancy I was sick until my DD was born! My boobs are still sore and by bedtime each day I have a little bump, but the nausea was such a reassuring symptom Grin

Elvi1 · 13/10/2017 15:04

captainscat you were sick for the whole 9 months? Oh my goodness, how awful for you! They do say that every pregnancy is different so I wouldn't worry. I had absolutely no nausea in my first pregnancy (which was a worry itself) and this time I've been feeling ill constantly, night and day, for the last 3 weeks. And you are right, most people do feel better once the placenta has taken over so doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about although it's natural to of course.

MilfordFound · 13/10/2017 15:07

@willisurvive2under2 oh that's good to know thanks! If they can claim it back as they're paying it (and not in one lump sum at the end) then there shouldn't be a problem. Phew that's made a big difference to the stress levels :-)

Congrats phoenix such wonderful news, fingers crossed everything is smooth sailing from now on.

I'm 10+2 and still sicky. Tablets stop me being sick and make me able to drag myself to work, but I still feel permanently grotty. Had my flu jab this week which is lucky as my colleague has unfortunately just come down with terrible flu.

I keep getting the shits. Sorry tmi! I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to poo at work. And I keep having to do it! Cringe. Can definitely blame the ice cream for one particular episode. It doesn't give any warning either. The other day I was at work, and suddenly realised with impending doom what was about to happen in no less than 30seconds. What do I do when I can't take imodium? What foods are anti-diarrhoea?!

MegsMog · 13/10/2017 15:26

Hi all. Had my booking in appointment this morning - I had a nice surprise as it was my midwife from last time! She had gone travelling with her family shortly after I had DD but she came back recently to the same team, so we had a nice catch up over a cuppa. Grin All low-risk so far and planning for home birth if all goes well.

So surreal to have a set of maternity notes again. Just looking forward to 12 week scan in 2 weeks now, I think it'll feel a bit more like it's really happening then.

Like some of you my sickness is also starting to improve, 10+2 today. I still have bad days but now it's mainly just bad nausea first thing then I'm ok by late morning. Still needing to constantly eat / snack though. Hoping I'll have energy to start doing some exercise again soon, I feel SO unfit. Have ordered that Davina pre/post-natal DVD, now I just need to get off my sizeable backside and do it... Blush

Hope those of you with bad sickness start to feel a bit more human soon, I will be delighted to say farewell to the first trimester!

scoutcat · 13/10/2017 19:34

I’m 8 weeks tomorrow and haven’t had ANY sickness except for a little bit on three days. I just don’t feel pregnant! Thinking of booking an early scan to be sure. I was convinced I’d have morning sickness. 😞

LadyPug · 13/10/2017 19:52

Hey scout happy to swap if you want my sickness!

Cathster · 13/10/2017 19:59

Hi everyone, I posted briefly on the pregnancy May 2018 thread but just found this one! Due date is 11 May.

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow, had my booking in on Monday and scan date has come through for 30 October. Can't wait - I am getting such a belly already it's proving tricky finding clothes that a) fit and b) hide the bump!

The tiredness and nausea is getting to me, I'm needing a daily nap which proves tricky with a toddler!!

I have a question, does/has anyone gone for an elective c section in previous pregnancies or hoping to this time? I had a difficult first birth resulting with EMCS with first baby and can't bear the thought of VBAC, but I'm worried they will try and talk me out of it. I can't even quite put my finger on why the thought terrifies me which then makes me nervous about trying to explain my reasoning!
