Ladies,

Welcome to thread 2 for babies due in May 2018.

Looking forward to early scans, seeing the first flutters and progressing further into the first trimester.

I can't change stats in my phone either :(

Whatamuddleduck · 19/09/2017 06:43

Thanks for the new thread. 8 weeks today and feeling rough at times but so thankful that it's otherwise fine. Booking appointment tomorrow!
I can't even think about birth yet! Focussed on getting to the 12 week scan and that's it for now.

RedPanda25 · 19/09/2017 06:49

Thank you for the new thread!

I had real trouble updating the stats sheet too on my phone, have you downloaded the app? I had to download it again I think.

@NannyGR I have my scan on Sunday too and will be 7+5 I think so very close to you!! I am so nervous!

@Jaronior please let us know how you get on, we'll be thinking of you!

So had to tell two of my friends yesterday as I invited them round for lunch, and then afterwards had to run to the bathroom to be sick!! It's so reassuring that I have all day nausea and throw up at least twice a day as this is what I had with my DS and also went off tea like I have now so it's weird kind of liking having these symptoms and yet hating them at the same time!

Do we have any twins on the thread yet? I wonder if anyone will be having them!

Jaronior · 19/09/2017 07:00

Thanks! @RedPanda25 I really appreciate everyone's support. I've slept off and on all night and had the weirdest dreams about today. Just need to try and get a grip and be a brave girl. I know I'm gonna cry a lot today whatever the outcome!

Kirstipops · 19/09/2017 07:08

All the best for your little bean's scan Jaronior, and thanks for the new thread cautious.
I have told my very close friends and my parents and sister, they are who I'd tell if worst came to worst anyway so I wanted to keep them in the loop! Totally understand why others hold off though.

MegsMog · 19/09/2017 07:27

Just marking my place. Feeling wretched this morning!

electricblue2017 · 19/09/2017 07:29

@ladydolly my boy was 10lb 5 as well, I'm dreading another big one Confused

Jaronior · 19/09/2017 07:33

@Kirstipops thank you! Been up since the crack of dawn, appointment isn't until 11.20 😬

cautiousoptimist1 · 19/09/2017 07:44

Good luck today jaronier, we'll be thinking of you.

Sorry to all those having probs with the stats, it's not my file but I can amend it. I wasn't updating on a phone though so not sure if that's the issue - does anyone else have any advice?
If you want to pm me your details, I'll add you on.

Good luck jaronier for today! And welcome Ladydolly we were on the bus together. Lovely to see you here (nice to have another lady here too! Hehe)

purplebiro · 19/09/2017 08:35

Morning ladies! Bfp last night and another this morning - second one slightly paler than the first which concerns me but it is early days yet - I'm 4+2 according to my calculations - period due tomorrow, so due date is 27th May...3 days before DD's 3rd birthday...eek! Feeling all the paranoid - with my daughter we did know until circa 8-9 weeks so bypassed a lot of the normal early stuff - I'm cramping a bit (no bleed) and it's agony to sneeze or cough if I don't brace myself - is that normal?!

McTufty · 19/09/2017 10:30

Hello, could I join? Like @purplebiro, I am 4+2 my due date is 27th May 2018 (our first wedding anniversary)! Had two decent enough FRERs yesterday and today and a positive clear blue digi. The FRER is no darker today though Sad

Is anyone else terrified about the pregnancy going well at the moment? Obviously I'm thrilled with the BFP but just so nervous now.

ladydolly · 19/09/2017 10:37

Hi ladypug, nice to see you again!

Just popped on to moan about feeling sick. Started early with my dd as well so to be expected but I'm not even 4 weeks yet. Urgh.

@electricblue2017 did they say anything about why it might be? My DP is only 5'9 and I'm 5'5 both average build so it was a bit unusual. In fact at my due date appt the midwife said to me 'Your baby might be too big for you to deliver' and when I said 'ok so what will we do?' she said 'Just give it a go' !!!!

AlexsMum89 · 19/09/2017 11:23

Thank you for the new thread!
I'm less than 7 weeks in, and I'm looking forward to my body being back to normal. This is not a good sign, but I really want to stop feeling sick and to be able to sleep comfortably.

MotherOfBoy · 19/09/2017 11:47

Argh been feeling quite nauseous at work this morning. Only drank half my tea VERY unlike me. Now have a networking lunch, poo! Also bad idea to wear support tights and a high neck dress. The dress is making me want to gag!

LadyPug · 19/09/2017 12:20

I don't feel sick :-(

electricblue2017 · 19/09/2017 12:23

@ladydolly I was 10lb 3 so maybe it runs in the family! I had a diabetes test and all came back clear. He was 2 weeks early as well

katiegd · 19/09/2017 12:58

Hi all, checking into thread 2. Technically not May anymore as I adjusted for short cycles following my early scan and am now 30th April, meaning I'm 8+1 today. Might straddle April & May threads!

Had spotting and no nausea over the weekend which freaked me out, but no more spotting since and the nausea is there a bit. Maybe I'm just one of those who doesn't have much of it. First trimester is crap - we are either feeling like shit or panicking cos we are feeling ok. Urgh.

@LadyPug have you been feeling sick up until now?

LadyPug · 19/09/2017 13:10

Hey katie no, zero sickness and zero boob pain throughout and 5+1 today. But I had it last time by now, that's my real concern!

Xjo1992x · 19/09/2017 13:15

Midwife just rang to book my booking in appt for 11 Oct. Feels like ages away!

timeisnotaline · 19/09/2017 13:17

There's no guarantee you will have the same type of pregnancy pug. My grandma was extremely sick with brown eyed children I think and not at all with blue eyed children (or the other way around) She had 6 of one and 2 of the other so a reasonable sample size Grin

LadyPug · 19/09/2017 13:23

No way time that's mad! I love that, thank you! Anyone else struggling with their toddler? My DD is playing me up so bad today and I just feel exhausted! :-(

readysetcake · 19/09/2017 13:46

No sickness here either ladypug. It's disconcerting isn't it. But read it kicks in on average at 6 weeks. So maybe next week for us. Though I'll feel very lucky if I don't get it this time. Last time I felt awful. But then again it is reassuring at the same time as being horrible!

RedPanda25 · 19/09/2017 14:01

If it makes you feel any better @readysetcake and @LadyPug my sickness only kicked in last week at 6+weeks.

I'm not really suffering and vomiting after every meal so I've given in and I've made a doctors appointment for tomorrow. Hoping they'll give me some medicine because I'm not sure I can keep on like this!

LadyPug · 19/09/2017 14:07

I can't believe I'm saying this but I want to be sick! However I'm on holiday week 6 so I'm probably best off not being ill until week 7! Haha!
